Return With the Billionaire Baby Daddy-Chapter 116: Wedding day
Standing proudly in a vanilla-colored suit with a white shirt underneath, without a tie, adorned with a flower-like ornament on his chest, Damian entered the altar located in the grand ballroom of the hotel, which was impeccably white with dominant white flower decorations, blushing occasionally as the guests and family cheered and applauded.
Arriving at the altar, he stood beside his father and younger brother, along with the priest, facing the guests until the moment he had been waiting for arrived, accompanied by music from Ed Sheeran’s song titled "Perfect," echoing throughout the room.
"Oh my God..." He immediately covered his mouth with uncontrollable tears, watching Valerie walking down the aisle, her arm linked with her father’s, carrying a bouquet of white roses.
"She’s beautiful... So beautiful!" he whispered through tears, quickly wiping his uncontrollable tears.
His body trembling, the man couldn’t stop gazing at the beautiful bride, getting closer and closer to him.
’Oh God... I know she is my destiny. No matter how difficult, no matter how often we were separated, in the end, you brought us together without diminishing our love. Please, this time and forever, do not separate us again,’ he thought, remembering the bitter times since more than two years ago.
Valerie slowly approached Damian, seeing his tears moved her, unable to hold back her tears. The beautiful girl walked slowly, wearing a vanilla white dress with open shoulders that couldn’t hide her slender body.
’Oh God... Thanks for everything... I’ve learned so much... I won’t leave him again, that’s my vow,’ she thought with conviction, as she reached Damian and hugged him.
Damian continued to embrace Valerie, crying, unable to hide his joy until Valerie gently pushed him to release his hug and wiped his tears.
"My strong man... don’t cry," Valerie whispered with a smile.
Damian closed his eyes, trying to end his tears, then reopened them and smiled shyly.
"This time you’re not escaping," he said, his eyes welling up again.
Valerie chuckled with emotion. "No... I have no reason to. We’re getting married... And I won’t leave you again," she said.
"I trust you..."
Damian then turned Valerie to face the priest, who immediately began the ceremony with a book in hand.
"Damian McCourtney, do you take Valerie Trierweiler Dominguez to be your lawful wedded wife?" the priest asked.
"Yes, I do," Damian replied with a smile.
The priest turned to Valerie. "Valerie Trierweiler Dominguez, do you take Damian to be your lawful wedded husband?"
With a smile, Valerie nodded. "Yes, I do."
Damian couldn’t hide the happiness on his handsome face, then he took Valerie’s hands and faced each other as instructed by the priest.
"With all my heart, I, Damian, take you, Valerie, to be my wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part, according to God’s holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge you my faithfulness," Damian said along with the priest’s guidance, his smile never fading, his eyes continuously on Valerie, feeling touched again and continuing to beat fast.
Valerie took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly and said, "With love and devotion, I, Valerie, take you, Damian, to be my husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part, according to God’s holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge you my faithfulness."
"Now, I pronounce you husband and wife," the priest said with a smile, then focused on Damian. "You may kiss your bride," he continued.
Damian immediately kissed both of Valerie’s hands while crying.
"My wife..."
Valerie nodded, immediately embracing Damian’s neck and kissing his lips with a little aggression for a moment, then hugged him tightly.
"Hey, stop crying. You’re ruining our happy day," she whispered.
"But I’m just too happy," Damian replied through tears. "This felt impossible before..."
"And now it’s happened, it’s not a dream, and it’s very possible."
Valerie released her embrace, looked up at Damian’s flushed and teary face, and then grabbed a handkerchief from his suit pocket and wiped his tears, chuckling.
"Aren’t you embarrassed in front of them? You’re like a big baby now!" she teased with a soft voice.
Damian immediately turned to the still-standing attendees, looking at them until his gaze fell on Daniel, who was walking towards them carrying a white basket adorned with flowers, and a few seconds later, Ed Sheeran’s song "Perfect" echoed again.
"Oh God, he’s so cute!" he exclaimed, then bit his lower lip, trying to hold back his tears seeing his son coming to bring their wedding rings.
Valerie giggled, wrapping her arm around Damian’s, looking at Daniel who looked cute and handsome in his white suit with a bow tie.
"Now I know why God postponed our wedding," Damian whispered. "He wanted our little angel to come and give us our rings... It’s more beautiful than what we planned two years ago," he continued with a smile.
"It’s true," Valerie whispered, then released her arm from Damian’s when Daniel arrived.
Damian immediately took the ring box from the basket, then kissed Daniel’s forehead and stroked his hair.
"Thank you, buddy. You did this task well, a gift will be made for you," he said.
"What’s that?" Daniel asked with his innocent gaze.
"Um..." Damian stood up straight again and glanced at Valerie. "Maybe a baby sister."
"Damian!"
Valerie immediately glared, even feeling very embarrassed when the attendees applauded Damian’s answer.
"Yeayyyy... I will have a baby sister!" Daniel exclaimed happily, running towards his grandmother who stood with the others.
Damian immediately hugged Valerie’s waist, smiling at her pouting face.
"You’re embarrassing!"
"Why?" Damian asked. "It’s my plan, and it’s what Daniel wants. Besides, what else are we waiting for? I think he’s ready to be a big brother."
Valerie smiled thinly. "You’re right... But this should’ve been our secret."
"Well..." Damian sighed, releasing his embrace and turning to look at the ring in his hand. "Let’s finish what’s here now. But prepare yourself for the surprise I’ve prepared for tonight."
Valerie blushed, then realized her hand was on Tamiya and let her put the ring on her ring finger, then she also turned to put the ring on Damian’s finger.
"My wife..." Damian kissed Valerie’s hand.
"Finally... My husband." Valerie smiled shyly, then Damian immediately kissed her lips with a little pressure, causing her to lean back but the man immediately hugged her waist.
After that, he carried her.
"Damian!" Valerie was surprised.
Damian just smiled, carrying Valerie away from the altar, and at that moment, the bridesmaids, including Clara and Hannah, immediately showered them with flowers.
Valerie smiled shyly, embracing Damian’s neck and looking at him, unable to deny that she was deeply in love and happy.
