Chapter 154: Gender revealed

on Weekends

Damian had just left the bakery with Valerie and Daniel, heading to a lake for a fishing trip while planning a simple gender reveal.

Initially, they wanted to throw a celebration, but considering Hannah’s sadness over her baby’s loss, they decided against it to avoid upsetting her.

The doctor already knew the gender and gave them an envelope with the information, which they handed to the bakery staff to prepare a cake with the inside color corresponding to the baby’s gender.

"Dad, where are we going?" Daniel, sitting in the child’s seat, asked.

"We’re going to the river. We’ll fish after seeing your sibling’s gender," Damian replied, focusing on driving.

"Hmm, I don’t like the river, too many mosquitoes!" Daniel protested.

"Really?" Damian furrowed his brow. "But Daddy has prepared the fishing gear... We’ll have fun there... Fishing, then Mommy will cook the fish we catch."

"What if we don’t catch any fish?"

"We’ll catch some, Daddy’s good at fishing."

"I’d rather buy fish at the market!" Daniel retorted, then crossed his arms and pouted. "Fishing will be boring. I don’t want to wait for the fish to bite the bait!"

Damian sighed heavily.

"I think Daniel is right, fishing will be very boring and there will be lots of mosquitoes, and... Actually, I’m too lazy to cook by the lakeside," Valerie said, stroking her pregnant belly clad in a white dress with open sleeves.

"What’s this? Why are you changing your mind when we’re halfway to the river?" Damian asked, slowing down the car.

Valerie shrugged. "I was totally on board with your plan earlier, but now I’m feeling a bit tired, so I don’t feel like cooking. And I can’t ask you to cook... It probably won’t taste good, and we’ll fail to have fun... And there’s no guarantee you’ll catch any fish," she said casually, raising her eyebrows. "I doubt your fishing skills."

"Really?" Damian was surprised.

Valerie just smirked and looked away.

"Okay..." Damian immediately slowed down the car and looked for a detour. "We’ll just go to the beach."

Valerie chuckled. "Really?"

"Yeah... If we go to the river, then only I will be happy. I don’t want to see two of my loved ones pouting and becoming mosquito food!" Damian explained bluntly.

Valerie laughed, then reached out to pinch Damian’s cheek. "Don’t be mad!"

Damian remained silent.

"Or maybe we could just go to the park," Valerie suggested.

"No, we’ll go to the beach until late afternoon and then take Daniel to my parents’ mansion because my dad wants to sleep with him... play with him," Damian replied, then glanced at Valerie. "And you know what that means," he added with a sly smile.

Valerie swallowed nervously, imagining if Daniel stayed at Damian’s family mansion, it meant she and Damian would have free time and freedom to make love.

’Maybe it will be really hot... We haven’t done it since the morning before Hannah fell down the stairs,’ she thought anxiously, feeling her femininity start to warm and tingle, imagining a wild night with Damian.

...

Arriving at the beach, Damian walked along the shore carrying a white carpet and a large black bag, while Valerie carried a box of cake, and Daniel walked between them.

"I think it’s not too crowded and hot over there," Valerie exclaimed, glancing towards the nearby land with palm trees.

"Yeah, that’s a good choice," Damian replied.

He immediately went there, then laid out the carpet took out a camera from the bag, placed it on the carpet in a corner, and turned it on.

"We need to make a video," he said.

Valerie smiled, slipping off her sandals and stepping onto the carpet, then placing the box in the middle. She opened the box, revealing a white cake with chocolate decorations and a small tower shaped like two baby boys and girls, along with two glasses and two spoons.

"Wow, I want that cake!" Daniel exclaimed, reaching out his hand.

"No, not now..." Valerie prevented Daniel from touching the cake. "We’ll eat it after we know whether it’s blue or pink inside," she explained with a smile, positioning herself to sit cross-legged.

"I can’t wait!" Daniel pouted.

"You have to be patient, Man... We have to see whether your sibling is a boy or a girl first," Damian said, moving Daniel to sit between himself and Valerie.

"Okay... I hope it’s a girl," Daniel replied.

"Yeah, that’s also Daddy’s wish."

"I just hope for the best," Valerie said with a smile, taking a pretty glass and handing it to Damian upside down. "We’ll cut this cake with the glasses, simultaneously... Then we’ll see what color it is inside," she continued.

Damian looked at the cake again.

"Well... I want a copy of my beautiful wife," he said.

Valerie chuckled, impressed by Damian’s always praising her. She immediately placed the glass upside down on the cake, as did Damian.

"Oh my God..." She took a deep breath, suddenly feeling nervous. "I’m so nervous, I can’t bear to look!"

"I’m also very nervous." Damian chuckled, then leaned in towards Valerie’s face. "Maybe we can do it by kissing and then look together."

Valerie nodded, immediately kissing Damian on the lips while her hand began to press the cake with the glass until some of the cake entered the glass, just as Damian did the same.

"Ugh, I don’t want to see!" Daniel exclaimed, closing his eyes with both hands.

"It’s done!" Valerie exclaimed, ending the kiss and getting even more excited to imagine the future with a baby boy or girl.

"Let’s see," Damian said.

"We have to see it at the same time."

"Okay, one... Two... Three!"

They all eagerly looked at the cake, which was already cut in two revealing the inside to be blue, as were the contents of the glasses.

"It’s a boy!" Daniel looked at the cake with a fading smile.

Damian smiled and shook his head, slightly disappointed but still happy, as was Valerie who seemed surprised but didn’t seem to mind the result.

"I don’t like this!" Daniel exclaimed in frustration. "I don’t want a baby brother!"

"Why?" Valerie asked, laughing. "Having a baby brother can be fun, you can play cars or robots or play ball with him..."

"A baby brother is not, bad," Damian added.

"But I don’t want to, I don’t like boy playmates... It will be bad, he will take my toys, and he will hit me like my friends at school!" Daniel exclaimed angrily.

"Oh my God, it won’t be like that, honey..." Valerie kept laughing. "Your brother will love you and he won’t take your toys... He’ll be very happy when you teach him how to play... He’ll love you very much!"

"You don’t need to worry about that,..." Damian ruffled Daniel’s head and then kissed him. "Every time you get a new toy, he’ll get a new toy too so you won’t fight over them."

Daniel sighed, his face disappointed but trying to accept the reality, until he chose to lie down and close his eyes, not wanting to witness the celebration.

"Let’s just eat cake!" Valerie quickly grabbed a spoon, and then used it to scoop up the cake.

"It looks delicious." Damian also took a spoon, but Valerie immediately fed him. She devoured the cake with a smile, then switched to feeding Valerie.

"You are so sweet," she whispered, admiring Valerie’s cuteness with her slightly chubby cheeks, shining beautiful hair, and her large belly in a white dress adding to her grace. "You’ll give me another boy... Thank you," she continued.

"You’ll deal with two Damian Juniors," Valerie replied with a playful smile.

"That’s not a problem."

"Kiss me..." Valerie leaned towards Damian’s lips.

He kissed her softly, then put down the glass and spoon, and pulled her closer to embrace her.

...

Elsewhere, Karina daydreamed in a lounge chair near the pool, watching Tristan swim. Her mind kept wandering to Fanny, who had ended up in an accident and coma instead of fulfilling her task to harm Valerie.

’If she wakes up and tells Damian, I’m finished, I don’t want to go to jail!’ she thought anxiously. ’I have to go to the hospital where Fanny is being treated... I have to make sure she dies rather than waking up and exposing my evil plan!’

"Darling, don’t you want to swim?"

Karina glanced at Tristan, who was now sitting by the pool, looking so sexy in tight shorts and bare-chested, his body wet.

"No... I don’t want to swim. And actually, I want to say something," she said as she got up from her chair.

"Wait, wait, let me come over there." Tristan quickly stood up and approached Karina, not wanting her to walk near the pool for fear of slipping, especially because of her already large belly. "What do you want to talk about?"

"It’s not something serious."

"Just tell me." Tristan grabbed a towel and immediately sat in another chair, wiping his wet body.

Karina sat back down.

"I feel sick of the situation here, I feel like I need a change of scenery," she said with a worried look. "I think we should go on vacation... At least before my belly gets too big," she continued.

"Vacation to where? Are you sure you want to travel far in such a late stage of pregnancy?" Tristan asked, full of doubt. "It’ll make you easily tired."

"I know... But it won’t be a problem, we don’t need to vacation far away... Maybe we just need to go to places we used to visit before..."

"Carson City?"

"Yeah... Maybe." Karina nodded. "I miss the atmosphere of my old apartment... And besides, I also want to reunite with my friends."
