Return With the Billionaire Baby Daddy-Chapter 58: Their plan
Carson City, Nevada.
Still in Samuel’s apartment.
Hannah had just finished showering and was getting ready to leave, but she became anxious because Samuel was still asleep while her clothes were dirty because of their antics earlier in the day. The girl approached Samuel while tying the gray bathrobe she was wearing, then sat on the edge of the bed.
’What has happened between us feels beautiful, but I still don’t know how you see me... Will you be angry if I act a little coquettish with you? Will you change after this?’ she wondered in her heart, her gaze anxious on Samuel, who was still naked and only had a blanket around his waist.
The phone rang on the nightstand near the bed, and Hannah immediately picked it up.
"Adriana," she said anxiously when she saw that the caller was Adriana. "What if she came to Valerie’s house looking for me?"
"Who’s calling?"
The question diverted Hannah’s attention, she quickly turned to Samuel who had just woken up.
"Um... It’s... Adriana," she said.
Samuel immediately let out a rough breath, clenched his jaw, his gaze became flat, and he quickly grabbed Hannah’s phone.
"Samuel...."
"You don’t need to care about her," Samuel said, pulling Hannah to lie next to him and then embracing her.
Hannah fell silent in surprise and also joy because it turned out Samuel still wanted to be affectionate with her, and that meant what happened wasn’t just a momentary outburst.
"I want you to stay here as long as Valerie is away," Samuel said.
Hannah furrowed her brows. "I think that’s impossible, what should I tell her? I can’t just tell her that I’m with you... It would be strange because before you only wanted her."
"Just tell her you’re going back to Arizona to see your family."
"What if she calls my family?"
"She won’t do that, it’s not important to her. Because she’s already having fun with Damian," Samuel said with a blank stare, his mind filled with shadows of Valerie and Damian, hallucinating, conjuring vague images of what they were doing in Korea. ’I’ll let you have fun now... But one day you will see how bad she is for you... You will never be able to accept him again and regret wasting me... You will hurt because I will love Hannah in front of you... you will regret it!’ he exclaimed in his heart.
Hannah glanced at Samuel who was daydreaming. "I know you’re still upset about her."
Samuel glanced at Hannah, who was so close to his face. "If you knew, then you would understand why I prefer you here now. I can’t meet you at her house because Adriana might cause trouble for us. She’s very sensitive to me."
"Really?"
"Yes... She hates me."
Hannah furrowed her brows and shifted her position closer to Samuel, looking at his slightly dry lips, messy hair, and disheveled face.
"Do you hate her? Did she do something to you?"
"She didn’t do anything, but she invited me to meet her and hurt me with her sharp tongue," Samuel said, caressing Hannah’s fresh-looking lips. "She said I should stay away from Valerie because I don’t look much better than Damian. She thinks I’m deliberately influencing Valerie to keep hiding."
"Of course, that’s not true," Hannah retorted, furrowing her brows. "You didn’t influence her at all, but she insists on hiding. You don’t deserve to be treated like this when you’ve been helping her all this time... It’s really bad. Adriana or her family should be grateful to you for helping Valerie so much... Without you, she might have been homeless, or couldn’t even give Daniel what he needed, especially when she had to have a Caesarean section, then Daniel had to be treated for so long in the hospital..." She spoke with annoyance, truly disliking seeing Samuel being treated badly.
Samuel sighed. "It’s Okay... Don’t talk about it again."
"You’re a good man, I’ve admired you since forever... It feels so painful to see you treated like this." Hannah looked at Samuel with sadness.
He smiled faintly. "You don’t have to worry about it anymore. I won’t be treated badly again because I’m not chasing Valerie anymore. I have you."
Hannah sighed, looking into Samuel’s eyes intensely while her hand slowly caressed his chest.
"Sometimes I still can’t believe that I’m here with you... On the bed... I never expected it to go this far..." She said with a shy smile.
"You happy now?" Samuel asked.
"Of course. Who wouldn’t be happy to be with the man they admire?" Hannah asked back. "But I know I shouldn’t put too much hope on you... I realize you’re not quite sure about me yet." Her smile faded, turning into worry.
"You have to trust... I will learn." Samuel pushed Hannah to lie down, then he lay on top of her after opening his bathrobe so their bodies touched now. "You’re so warm... If I can always be comfortable with you, I won’t be interested in trying to love another girl again..."
Hannah remained silent, but in her heart, she said, ’That means he’s not yet entirely comfortable now and might still be trying to love other girls. Someday he will get bored with me and leave me... That must not happen. I think I have to trap him, make him unable to turn away from me even if he gets bored with me!’
...
On her apartment balcony, Karina sat holding a glass of wine, her gaze straight ahead so serious, the wicked impression so evident especially as she wore a black dress with open sleeves, her lipstick rosy red, and her eyebrows dark with black eyeliner as if adding fierceness.
"Just end it... Tell everything to your father if you feel he’s too unfair to you," the man sitting next to her said distantly with one table apart. "You deserve better than him. You don’t have to comply with his wishes when he doesn’t consider your feelings... He’ll only play you..."
"And when he plays me, then I will make him regret it, I also have to play him!" Karina exclaimed before the man finished speaking. "Tristan... We’ve known each other for a long time, I think you know what I’m like. I will never lose... And I will never give up, especially when this game has just begun!"
Tristan sighed deeply, then turned his face away.
"I will stick to my first plan, and you have to help me..."
"What do I get?"
"Whatever you want..." Karina sipped her red wine again.
Tristan turned to Karina. "I want you... I want you to be mine. How can I help you get another man? It’s like I would hurt myself."
Karina fell silent as if thinking.
"It would be much better if you let him be with that girl... You don’t need to ruin your reputation just to play with him. I’m sure it will only tarnish your reputation, she will destroy you... Right now, all he wants is the freedom to be with his chosen girl... And when you let that happen, he will never play with you... Everything will be fine, you can find a much better man than him...."
"And that man is you," Karina retorted, turning to Tristan. "Are you going to say that? Do you think I’m willing to be with you while I also desire him, I’m more interested in him than you. I only have a little interest in you, so I will fight harder to get him... And if you truly love me, you would do anything to make me happy... I would do the same, I know how to be thankful..."
"How?" Tristan asked.
"I will be as you want me to be, but don’t obstruct my intention to be with Damian," Karina said, turning her face back to the view of the buildings in front of her. "You will be my second man, my backup... I think that’s better than not appreciating your love at all... If you don’t accept this, then never meet me again... I can pay someone else to carry out my plans."
