Revenge Begins: Reincarnated as a Hated Idol!-Chapter 31: Episode-2 End
As the scene transitioned to Shin’s fight, the screen revealed not a brawl but rather an asphalt expanse littered with battered, unconscious student bodies.
Shin’s group of thirty male students was wheezing like old men, some of them even sprawled on the pavement with bloodied noses.
Shin, however, was merely depicted wiping the blood from his knuckles with a handkerchief.
A young man with cyan hair approached Shin from behind, sporting a casual grin. He served as the second in command after Shin, named Kite. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
"Leader, fancy grabbing something delicious to eat?"
He flaunted cash in his hands, waving it with a grin.
This was the cash they had pilfered from the unconscious bodies scattered around them, payment for their efforts.
Shin calmly shook his head.
Outstretching his palm, he commanded in a tone that was confident, intimidating, and most of all, devoid of emotions.
"Give me my share."
Kite reluctantly handed over half the cash to Shin and complained. "Why don’t you ever join us beyond these fights?"
Casting him an enigmatic gaze, Shin muttered: "I have somewhere to be."
With that, Shin walked away.
Another young man neared Kite and inquired: "Have you ever seen the leader smile?"
"Of course not," Kite responded wryly before draping an arm around the youth’s shoulder and waving the cash in his hand in a flaunting manner. "Let’s go eat something delectable."
Then, the scene cut to a girl exiting the school building and encountering three boys on the school grounds.
They bullied her, albeit not too severely.
Once they left, she rose, brushed off the dirt, retrieved her backpack, and headed home.
On the way, she murmured curses at her brother for not protecting her from the bullies.
The audience was left wondering over the girl’s identity, as the drama’s synopsis merely stated—’Season 2 of To Your Heart.’
She halted before a rundown house on the street and slid the door open, the camera trailing her back as she entered.
While she took off her shoes, the camera focused on another pair of shoes that she had missed—male shoes.
As she walked inside, the camera followed her back, revealing the sight in front of her as she walked into the hall.
Her eyes widened as she was greeted by a smiling Shin, donned in an apron, with an array of delicacies adorning the dining table beside him.
"You are finally home. I was waiting for so long." Shin’s voice was a stark contrast from how he sounded just a few moments ago. It was warm, jubilant, and exceedingly affectionate.
The screen displayed Leah’s stunned expression, clearly not knowing how to react.
Then the sequence played out, with Shin rushing to inspect her bruised knee, her retorting back, and subsequently her feeding him.
Nick, observing the heartwarming vignette, abruptly yearned for his own family.
Yet, as the scene concluded with them having their meal, the focus shifted back to Nataly.
The following day, she was bullied in the cafeteria in the same manner as the young boy, getting soaked with soup and noodles all over her.
When she confronted the group, they just laughed at her mockingly, seizing another bowl and drenching her anew.
Enraged, she attempted to strike Kane, but he effortlessly seized her wrist and hurled her to the floor.
Realizing she couldn’t win physically, she opted for the most rational course—complain to their teacher.
The scene switched to her standing before the teacher.
After she recounted the ordeal, he remarked in a nonchalant voice: "You should concentrate on your studies. Stop playing around."
When she rebutted, she was reprimanded: "How dare you talk to me like that? Do you wish to fail?"
She exited the instructor’s office, sobbing profusely.
She sat in the classroom without talking to anyone, with a vacant countenance.
Upon boarding the bus, Emily had already changed her seat, leaving her to sit alone.
Everybody shunned her as if contagious, and that was where the episode concluded, with her gazing out the window in a vacant stare, a melancholy soundtrack underscoring the moment.
As the screen faded to black, Nick and Sasha had different responses.
Sasha felt sad for Nataly, whereas Nick fixated primarily on Shin; his character felt admirable to him. Regarding Nataly, he felt that it was a pity for her to be bullied, but for the most part, she was to be blamed for her fate.
If she had just kept quiet like Emily advised her to, she wouldn’t have to suffer like this. Nick had viewed the prior season, and Nataly’s character was the same in that too, incapable of ignoring injustice before her.
Sasha, on the other hand, admired Nataly for this. It took courage to help someone without seeking any benefit in return.
Wanting to see other viewers’ reactions, they both navigated to PulseX. As soon as they searched for the keyword—"To Your Heart"—a myriad of posts and comments unfolded on the screen.
[Suddenly realized Aren is gorgeous!]
[Who is Aren’s stylist? How did he become so handsome in just a month?!]
[Did Aren look like this when he was in Ventage?]
[I always thought Aren was just a filler in Ventage whom they added just at the last minute, but here he looks more handsome than the other four members of Ventage.]
[You won’t believe. I screamed when Shin first appeared on the screen. How can someone be so cool and handsome at the same time?!]
[I bought AxisPlay’s subscription just to rewatch Shin’s entry scene. Once wasn’t enough for me.]
[I was wondering just what made the students have those kinds of reactions in the trailer, but when I watched Shin enter, I had the same reaction myself.]
Among these comments, stills from the drama and GIFs of Shin were circulating like wildfire.
More than To Your Heart, netizens were more interested in discussing Aren’s appearance and Shin’s character.
Meanwhile, Aren had just finished watching The Insiders on Dragon Films’ platform.
He didn’t watch it to increase the show’s viewership; instead, he wanted to see what he was competing against.
