Chapter 153: MISSING

"You ungrateful brat, you wake up after how many months and the first set of people you ask for are your parents, did you know how hard it is to take care of an immobile person." Giselle said genuinely feeling hurt at Adara asking for her parents immediately she woke up, "It’s not like that teacher, I just have a nagging feeling that something happened to them and my mind won’t be at ease until I see them both." Adara explained, just now she felt like she heard her mother begging and her father was not able to do anything as he was kept bound in chains with swords wounds all over his body, it was very unsightly to behold.

So with that, all Adara wanted to see were her parents safe and sound, "You are imagining things girl, they are probably having a nice time in the castle." Giselle stated rolling her eyes nonchalantly, "Still let’s go, we cannot be too sure and even if they are it’s better safe than sorry." Adara urged, feeling restless, seeing the girl’s determination, Giselle sighed before chanting some spells and they both disappeared back to the castle.

"See everything is orderly." Giselle pointed out as she thought that if truly they captured Amelia and Damon it would not go down without a fight and there would be surely evidence that a fight took place here.

Adara refused to listen and beckoned on one of the servants to come closer, "Where are my parents?" She asked with authority exuding from her voice, "Your parents." The servant repeated nervously looking at the ground like there was something amusing on the floor.

"Speak." Adara ordered in a cold voice making the servant gulp nervously, "The mistress went missing and Asis took sire to go look for her since then there is not any news from either of them." The servant explained hoping she had done the right thing because Damon ordered everyone not to tell anyone about it before he left, but this was his daughter right?

"Asis." Adara muttered in a cold voice as her eyes hardened, "My parents are in trouble." She said turning to look at Giselle worriedly.

"How did you come to that conclusion quickly I’m sure you dad and brother would find your mother soon and everything would be back to normal soon so just relax." Giselle tried to calm Adara down as she felt that if Adara lost control of her emotions her powers would go haywire.

"You don’t understand something, Asis was the reason why i went into a coma in rhe first place." Adara dropped a bombshell that confused Giselle a bit.

"What do you mean? You saved him from an arrow remember of course he is why you slipped into coma." Giselle said staring at Adara with all seriousness as she felt that the girl’s head was a bit banged up after waking up from coma and that was why she was acting up like this.

"If that was what happened then I was the one that caused my coma but there was no arrow, Asis is the one that slashed my cheeks with his nails himself." Adara explained her reason making Giselle eyes widen with shock as she could not believe it, "Are you sure?" Giselle asked unable to believe that Asis would go to such extent.

"Would I frame my own brother?!" Adara exclaimed as she started pacing about in deep thoughts wondering what to do now that both her father and mother were captured.

"Let’s calm down, no need to make hasty decisions, first things first let’s call your uncle Leviton here, he would definitely know what to do." Giselle suggested and Adara nodded in agreement to her suggestion.

While Giselle left to call Leviton, Adara headed to Damon’s study to see if there was any clues there and saw the blue print of a magnificent sword laying in the table.

Curious, Adara picked it up and began to read it discovering that it was the only sword that could harm or injure the devil, as it reduces the fast recovery rate of him.

At the left corner were some words written in tiny letters that Adara amplified using her magic, her eyes widened as she rolled up the paper tucking it into her pockets before running to the painting that adorned the hall way.

She stared at it for a while and took in a deep breath biting her thumb placing the blood that seeped out on the dragon symbol on the painting.

Expecting it to open, Adara waited in front of the painting for a while but nothing happened, after staying there for a long time, she turned around dejected wanting to leave but the a creaking sound was heard as the painting has now made way.

With excitement, Adara rushed into the tunnel using her first magic to light up her path and when she reached a dead end she looked shocked and disappointed as she kicked a block in anger and then the brick wall turned around slowly with expectancy rising in Adara’s eyes but when it reached her sight there was the sword holder but no sword there making her remember her vision, it was true indeed that her parents were in trouble.

Damon opened his eyes slowly trying to adjust to the sunlight that was peeking through the window adjacent to the cell in which he was kept.

After regaining his senses, Damon tried to move only to discover that he has been tied down with chains, he kept on struggling to no avail as he gave up with his head dropping with devastation.

"Tsk tsk." A voice suddenly snorted causing Damon to raise his head up wondering who it was, "See how pitiful you are right now, is this how I trained you? I told you love is worthless and now because of your love for a pitiful woman see where you have ended up." The voice sneered at Damon.

"Father." Damon said with a low voice glaring at Maverick angrily as their oppressive aura’s clashed together fighting head on.
