Reverse Transmigration: From F-rank to SSS-rank-Chapter 18: Beg to be spared
Chapter 18
"You’re a psycho aren’t you..." I asked, chuckling with practiced mockery, "You killed that many in just an hour?"
"They ended up all being weaklings who couldn’t even put up a fight and just keep begging for their pathetic lives to be spared. I love the look on their faces as they begged me not to kill them, it gave me so much excitement knowing their fate was decided by me." He boasted, although his face looked like he was talking about something that actually excited him, almost like every human would look, but his eyes were completely dead.
He’s got the God complex. Funny how I hadn’t thought of that till now.
"It’s your turn now, Lucian. I’ve been waiting for this moment, the time I would finally get to kill you without having any damn rules holding me back. So what do you, we still got a lot of time, start begging now and I might spare your life for a few more hours." His voice was cold but daring, but he seemed so sure I’d never be able to win against him.
"You want me to beg you?" I asked with a degrading scoff. He’d have to wait for the corpse of his upcoming crippled generation to decay before he’d hear the word ’please’ slip out of my lips. And there wouldn’t even be an upcoming generation, because I planned on ending him right here, it was time to settle this score once and for all.
"Not just beg, I see you brought your little girlfriend along." He said, his lips curling into a wider grin like he’d just had the most devlish idea, "How about I slice off each of her limbs with each hour I spare you. So technically it goes like this, the harder you beg to live, the more she suffers. And if you stop begging, I’ll slice off your limbs instead. Either way, someone’s getting butchered. So, pick which one of you suffers first."
He was insane. I thought I was hard hearted, but worse, this son of a castrated imbecile had no heart..he was a fucking monster who’d finally been let loose, I could sense his blood lust all the way from where he stood. Now I was more than sure I had to get rid of him right here, otherwise he would just become an obstacle to me later on, because he would only grow stronger, and if he got to level one with his Talekinetic ability, I would need at least fifty percent of my power to fight him.
But either way, right now...it was either me or him. He had no intention of having me leave here alive, and neither did I.
I turned to Lilian, who’d just been blank the whole time, observing us like nothing she was hearing or seeing affected her. I would need you out of here. I said to her, then quietly released a bit of demonic energy, instantly creating my cloan that grabbed Lilian and teleported away before she could even say a word to protect.
I noticed the expression on Dante’s face change when he noticed the technique I just used. He looked less blood thirsty had had an expression of disbelief as he tried to comprehend what his eyes just saw.
"Did you just create two of yourself? What the hell is that ability?"
I exhaled quietly, locking eyes with him as I began rolling up the sleeves of my shirt. "I have many more standing around you, would you like to count?" I asked, my tone slightly mocking as I gestured for him to look.
Dante turned around urgently, expecting to actually find more of me...but there was none at all. I had just used that as an opening to get close to him. The weakness of a telekinetic user as low as level four should close range combat, and I planned to use that against him.
I appeared right before him, my fist swinging for his face, but almost like he’d seen through my plan, my fist stopped inches away, crushed by an invisible force. The bastard’s telekinesis locked onto my arm like a steel clamp, and in the same instant, he yanked his other hand sideway and sent me flying like a ragdoll.
To avoid myself from taking too much damage, I created a clone between the splint second I was supposed to crash against the tree, and it caught me, but now it crashed against the tree instead while still holding me protectively. I was unharmed, and I dispersed the clone almost immediately, since it’s use for the moment was done.
I got up, dusting myself off with a smirk. "i didn’t expect you’d see through that. You’re the first opponent to have taken me by surprise since arriving here." I was wrong to have underestimated the limit of his ability, but one this was for sure...he wasn’t a level four, he was three...or even higher. Did he grow stronger while he was here? Or has he lied about his actual rank this whole time.
Dante didn’t answer my question. Instead he raised both hands this time, and the ground around me erupted. Rocks, broken trees, even the damn dirt itself rose into the air before crashing toward me from every direction.
I shadow stepped out, leaving behind afterimages that got torn apart by the barrage and using my barrier to block whatever was supposed to reach me. In a blink, I was already behind him, my foot cutting through the air toward his spine. He twisted unnaturally fast, a wall of force slamming into me mid-kick. The impact knocked the air out of my lungs, but I forced a clone forward in my place. Dante crushed it instantly, his eyes widening when the body vanished into smoke.
"Bastard..." he muttered. "Stop being a coward and fight me without those damn creations of yours."
I smirked, I wasn’t falling for that. Coward? I’m sorry kid but I was far from that. I didn’t give him a chance to vent, I was already on him again. My fist connected with his jaw this time, snapping his head to the side.
Blood sprayed, as the strength of my punch cracked his neck, but he just fixed the broken bone like it was nothing, the sound echoing as he turned back to face me, the corner of his mouth streaked with blood, his eyes gleaming like I’d just given him a gift instead of a damn punch that was supposed to keep his neck broken and beyond repair.
The air around me tightened suddenly, crushing pressure wrapping around my ribs like a giant’s hand. My bones creaked under the force, and for a second I couldn’t breathe.
"Beg now," Dante growled, stepping closer, veins bulging in his neck. "Beg while you still have lungs to speak with. You think you stand a chance against me? I’m about to show you what exactly you’re up against!"
