Revive Rome: Wait! Why not make the empress fall in love with me first?-Chapter 322 - 120 God is watching you
Chapter 322: Chapter 120 God is watching you
"Is it confirmed to be Encluid level?" Pope Innocent inquired.
"It is confirmed," replied the head of the surveillance team swiftly. "Encluid level, threat index as low as 11%, and more than 60% of the source factors are due to his personal strength."
"This man..." Innocent squinted slightly, staring at the image on the screen, silently weighing, "doesn’t seem like any new demigod."
According to the information technology standards of Ancient Solomon, Raphael would categorize surveillance targets into three levels.
Safe—meaning the other party posed no threat and only required regular progress monitoring.
Keter—meaning the other party was a threat to technological civilization, requiring the immediate dispatch of Temple Knights to annihilate them.
Encluid—meaning it was temporarily impossible to assess whether the other party was harmful; strict surveillance needed to be maintained.
For both Encluid and Keter levels, those with a threat level at or above R3 had to be notified to the Holy See and Conclave Bishops immediately.
At this moment, the Pope and all the Cardinals stood in the monitoring room. The presence of these high-ranking officials left the ordinary priests silent and dare not make a sound.
"Why aren’t they shooting?" a doubting female voice came from a distance in the perspective of the screen.
"Perhaps it’s signal delay," a man answered.
"The source of this perspective is under the jurisdiction of the Angel Army, the special tactics assault unit Nislock, right?" Pope Innocent asked inside the surveillance room.
The Angel Army, including the Nislock special operations team, was specifically designed to deal with Transcendents below level 10, a type of assault Synthetic Human.
"Yes," the head of the surveillance team requested, "What should we do next?"
If the target was Keter level, the Nislock assault group would have already gone on the attack. The problem was, the person belonged to Encluid level, though at an R4 alarm level, the threat index was less than 15%.
In other words, the person’s strength was very strong, but posed no harm to the Church Court... at least Raphael hadn’t found any danger from the individual.
That was where the complication arose because many Encluid-level targets later turned into Keter level. Whether the Nislock tactical group should take action could only be asked to His Holiness, the Pope.
"Don’t be hasty to shoot," Innocent reminded him, "Proceed with identity determination."
"Yes, identity determination," the head of the surveillance team wept, having forgotten about this procedure; certainly, the R4 level startled him.
When a special target is added to the surveillance queue, the first thing to do should be to confirm the identity of the individual. Name, age, gender, social status, family relations—all available in Raphael’s database, even reaching back eighteen generations if present.
The previous voice indicated that there were others around this man, so swiftly conducting identity determination was naturally the most pressing task at the moment.
The members of The Azure Longsword, in the southern trenches outside of Innsbruck City, watched these Synthetic Human gunmen halt in place with flashing red eyes, growing even more vigilant.
"Aske," Medea said through the Mind Communication Channel, "these creatures have no Mind Body... They’re not normal biological entities."
"They are Synthetic Humans from the Church Court," Aske replied.
"Synthetic human?" Medea said, puzzled, before her expression turned into one of facing a formidable enemy. Without a Mind Body, wouldn’t that mean that they were the natural enemy of Mind Mages like her? Basically, all mind-related abilities would be ineffective against these individuals.
The Synthetic Human shifted their gaze, sweeping across The Azure Longsword without missing a single one of the nine members.
Suddenly, an exclamation rose in the monitoring room:
"Isn’t that the sister of His Excellency, the Valian Bishop?"
The screen quickly locked onto Nora’s face and then zoomed in. In the monitoring room, the Cardinals all turned to look at one of their own—the Valian Bishop.
"I know who they are," said the Valian Bishop. "The organization my sister Nora belongs to is called ’The Azure Longsword’ Mercenary Corps. The man just now, he must be Aske Lepeios Achilles, the Squad Leader of The Azure Longsword Mercenary Corps."
A Sirius individual name... Information flickered through the bishops’ minds.
"In that case, Your Excellency Valian," Pope Innocent said seriously, "please provide a report on The Azure Longsword Mercenary Corps later, and submit it to the Cardinal Council within this week, can you?"
"Of course," the Valian Bishop nodded in agreement.
"Now," Pope Innocent turned his attention back to the screen, "let Nislock begin probing attacks. Hmm, do not include the Valian Bishop’s sister in the targets for attack."
This command did not cause any objections, after all, the report from the Valian Bishop was one thing, and witnessing the true strength of the opponents firsthand was another, with the latter being obviously more reliable.
The priests quickly reset Nislock’s enemy detection logic, forbidding them from harming Nora on the field, and then initiated their attack.
"Attention! They’re coming!" The other side hadn’t even started moving yet when Aske and Miel’s Intuitive Ability once again provided an early warning of the danger.
So everyone immediately took the initiative to strike first. Miel’s rifle had already switched to assault mode, and a burst of bullets targeted the enemy first, creating blue ripples in front of them.
Again, an Adaptive Force Field Shield, a device that can be embedded within a modified human body, forming a circle of force field shield around the body. Any fast-approaching object would be intercepted by the force field.
The bullets directly collided with the shield in the air, ricocheting off like they hit a bulletproof glass, sending chaotic ripples across the surface of the shield. The greater the kinetic energy, the stronger the rebound.
Following that, Medea’s flames and Thira’s air pressure bombs arrived; the former, with no mass as a core of Magic Technique, passed straight through the shield surface, while the latter triggered the shield’s defense mechanism.
However, the mass of an air bullet was far less than that of a metal bullet, so it was only slightly slowed down before it easily tore through the shield.
The Synthetic Humans who were targeted by the spells immediately dodged to the side, while the girls had already swiftly made their moves. Peggy and Mia charged forth at high speed, with Sigrdrifa and Eleanor in their Power Armor following at a slightly slower pace.
Miel covered them with gunfire from the side, with bullets storming down like a tempest, but all were stopped by the opponent’s Force Field Shield. Medea and Thira continued to cast spells, with fire and air pressure bullets firing nonstop, pressing the Synthetic Humans into constant movement to dodge.
These Synthetic Humans clearly also possessed high tactical intelligence and could effortlessly shoot while dodging spells, with bullets directed at Peggy and Mia, who led the charge. frёewebηovel.cѳm
Mia was now at Level 5, and with the addition of "Evasion I" ability boost, she was completely capable of dodging bullets during high-speed sprints. One could see her Instant Step accelerating in a sophisticated two-stage Reflex Charge, using a precise zigzag movement to dodge the bullet fire lines from two Synthetic Humans.
Peggy had not learned Instant Step for as long as Mia had, and with the Explosive Power provided by "flesh," she was much faster than Mia, making dodging even more challenging.
She first sidestepped while charging to avoid a volley of incoming bullets, then another string of bullets grazed her shoulder, tearing open her clothing and flesh instantly, leaving behind a frightening and narrow wound.
Yet, the flesh around the wound squirmed and began to heal itself.
