Rewind System: Vampire Harem In The Apocalypse-68 Chapter 68
The sound of slashes echoed across the room as the fires raged on from the inside. They were quickly spreading, engulfing the surrounding rooms in the building.
*SHATTER!*
The figure of ghoul crashed through the wall and out into the flooded streets only for sounds of more aggressive beating and slashing to follow after.
*SLASH!* *BAM!* *WHAM!*
The shivering sound of the ghouls screeching and growling filled the air. The disgusting scent of ghoul's blood only increased.
*SLASH!*
And after one final slash, the last screech was let out before nothing but quiet remained in the room.
"..."
Inside of the room, a single figure could be seen sat on top of a beheaded ghoul's corpse trying to put out the flames on his cloak, once the flames had disappeared, a smile grew on his face.
The young man bore his fangs as he read the notification on the highlighted panel screen before him.
[You killed a ghoul!]

Xavier could feel a surge of strength flowing through his veins. An empowering pleasant rush that he would get whenever he'd travel onto the next level.
"Status." He muttered.

He placed his hands beneath his chin, before letting out a sigh. "What a pain... *Cough*" He muttered with a dejected look.
He was being boiled alive with all the flames around him, not to mention all the dark smoke around him. If he inhaled too much, even as a Vampire he'd probably still die.
But it wasn't the thought of death that gave him such sadness. Not at all.
'My stats haven't changed at all... I can't absorb any points from a ghoul's blood or I'll become a ghoul...'
Feeling annoyed by this fact, Xavier turned over to the remaining liquors on the shelves behind the counter. There were many bottles of different brands and alcohol concentration left.
"At least one good thing came out of this-"
*CRASH!*
The ceiling near the window behind Xavier suddenly collapsed downwards, further igniting and spreading the flames.
'Shit already!?'
Xavier got up and rushed towards, the liquor the moment this happened, picking up his bag in the process.

*Pant* *Pant* *Pant*
Xavier panted away the exhaustion as he took a seat on the rooftop of another building a few buildings away from the one he was previously in.
The rain was crashing against his face and body, washing away part of the blood which had yet to dry.
On his back was a large hiking back with it's bottom filled by the most expensive liquor he could identify.
Xavier pulled a bottle of the bag before looking around and giving it's glass a quick kiss.
*Smooch*
After that, he nervously looked around again before putting the bottle back into the bag.
"I can't wait to try you..." He whispered, before leaning over the building's edge and staring at the superstore just down the street.
This superstore was big, phenomenally so, it was branched off from otherstores and had it's own highway despite being in central london, a place with barely any space or room for expansion at all.
But it made sense, after all, the superstore brand was quite big and well known.
'I probably don't need to go to that store, but it's spacious and I'd rather not get attacked in the smaller shops where my space is limited.'
Xavier was confident in his abilities but that didn't mean he didn't like playing it safe.
While staring at the store, something caught Xavier's eyes down the road.
*VOOOOM!!* *VOOOOOM!!!!*
"Holy shit." He cursed.
Down the road was a person in a white and gray uniform riding a bike down the road. They were accelerating as they zoomed past the abandoned vehicles on their paths. 𝑓𝑟eℯ𝒘𝗲𝑏n𝑜𝚟𝙚𝒍.𝒄o𝐦
The water from the puddles around them were being splashed all around, but even still they didn't slow down.
Xavier couldn't believe his eyes. The uniform colour indicated that they belonged to the human faction based on what he'd known.
Night blue were the Vampires while Gray and White were the humans.
The fact that a human was manoeuvring with a bike through the small gaps in between the abandoned cars on top of the puddles of water making everything super slippery was unbelievable.
*VWOOOM!*
The person on the bike zoomed past the building which Xavier was on, before disappearing into a curve. Xavier could still hear the sound of the engines in the far distance.
'...They were wearing a helmet so I couldn't tell, but for a moment I got to get a good look at their figure with my [Vampiric Sight.], their chest and butt were quite large... That was a girl...'
Xavier let out another sigh before leaping off.
"She seemed strong, I wonder how much stronger I could have gotten if I'd stopped her and drank her blood?" He questioned The moment he said so however, the figure of his mother and sister smiling instantly popped up in his face, forcing him to shake his head repeatedly mid-fall.
"For now just stick to getting to the blood bank..."
Xavier needed human blood in order to increase his [Stamina.] Stat.
If he wanted, he could easily find a human or two and drink their blood. All he needed to do was search through a few apartments in the city.
With his evolved sense of smell, sight and hearing. It wouldn't take long to find one.
However, that was something he was trying to avoid unless the person volunteered, it was absolutely necessary or he was facing scum.
The reason was simple. Even though he was becoming a Vampire, he did not wish to become one which would look down on humans as simply food and cattle.
For not only was he once human, but so is his family. The last thing he'd want is to view them differently, and for them to view him differently.
Once Xavier had finally sorted out his thoughts, he stood by the buildings edge, before kicking off of it with everything he had.
'Too much thinking is a pain in the ass...' He thought to himself as he plummeted.
