Rewriting My Fate in the Apocalypse-Chapter 106: Absorbing Hot Water

"Little vixen." Lu Zhen said as he watched her run off after kissing him.

The little banter dissolved the tense atmosphere in the bathroom and Lu Zhen felt much lighter. He could only accept what his wife wanted to do.

He walked to the bathtub and instead of creating a flame, he just made his hands hot and placed them inside the water.

This was another ability that had mutated with his ability to create heat fields. It was the same concept.

He didn’t need flame, just the heat. After about two minutes, the water was hot to the touch and Leng Pan touched it to test. It was less hot than she wanted but she knew that her husband wouldn’t make it any hotter for fear of burning herself.

Therefore, she accepted that temperature.

"That’s okay for now. Let me try if it’s the same as taking in cold or room temperature water." She said as she stripped down to her underwear like always.

Lu Zhen thought that this woman does some things on purpose. She knew how tempting she was to him, yet she had no qualms taking off her clothes in front of him.

If he didn’t have enough self-control, he would jump her every time he saw some skin.

Leng Pan turned to look at Lu Zhen with a teasing smile on her face and Lu Zhen confirmed his suspicions. She was doing it on purpose. He wished he could follow her into that bathtub and turn it into a playing field with her.

Last time in the bathroom they didn’t try the bathtub. He vowed to make her scream in that tub soon enough. He’d like to see if she would dare to tease him again when getting into a bathtub in the future.

If Leng Pan knew what this man was thinking she would probably be very obedient. She didn’t want to pass out in the bathroom again.

Once all the distracting thoughts were eliminated, she no longer felt the heat. All she could feel was a refreshing sensation as the water was absorbed into her body.

This was pure spiritual spring water without any other substances. She did not dilute it at all.

She had expected there to be problems because of how potent it was but now, it looked like her fears were unfounded.

After all, they had been drinking this water for a while. Absorbing it through the skin pores should be the same. Just that the intake was a little more than usual.

Because she was already used to the absorption process, it didn’t take long for the water in the bathtub to disappear. It didn’t even give it enough time for the water to cool down. So, she absorbed it while it was hot.

Seeing that she seemed to need a lot of water, or any liquid considering that she was about to draw his blood, he opened the tap in the sink and as expected, the water flowing in the sink turned into mist and headed in Leng Pan’s direction.

However, he could also make out that the speed of the water flowing from the tap could not keep up with the absorption rate.

He had no choice but to open the shower too. He also followed suit and opened the tap used to fill the bathtub.

Now with three sources of water running simultaneously, it finally satisfied her needs.

She stayed in the tub with water flowing on all those taps for two hours before finally opening her eyes.

Her eyes were shining like stars as she looked at her husband with a gaze that seemed to be asking for praise.

Lu Zhen still didn’t know what was happening. He just turned off all the taps before walking to the woman in the tub and squatting next to her.

"What happened? You seemed to have become a water magnet, absorbing every single drop of water in the surroundings. Even turning the air dry enough to burn the throat when breathed in." Lu Zhen decided to ask when he saw that she was fine and was in high spirits.

"I think I just advanced. It looks like absorbing so much with spiritual energy triggered something and it broke the barrier in my core to the next level." Leng Pan said with a happy smile on her face.

She had really not expected to advance at this moment. She had read the book and knew that when superpower energy reaches a certain point, a superpower user can advance.

"You needed a lot of water to advance. Those taps have been running for two hours and you took in all that water." Lu Zhen said when he heard that she was just advancing and wasn’t in danger.

He breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried when he felt the reaction his blood had. Now it looked like in the future during her advancement, they should look for large water bodies and stay away from other people.
