Rise of The Anti God-Chapter 746: I Am Never Alone
Mira was stupefied hearing her Master's orders, and the next second, her expression turned into an aggrieved one as she fumbled, "B-But, Master…People would be asking questions if they find out, and they might even question your authority. This is too dangerous for you."
Akira calmly nodded as she said, "I appreciate your concern for me, Mira. But Damien is my family, my brother's son. Before being a warlord, it is my duty as his aunt to protect him even if it means risking my authority. Our people won't be able to understand what or who Damien is, and that is why I want you to help him achieve his potential. With his talents, he would surely be able to catch up to you within 50 years. Till then, I can plan his future as well."
Damien felt moved that his aunt had already planned out his future and was looking out for him so much. But just as much as he appreciated it, he knew he didn't have 50 years to wait before he could venture out to find his wives.
He had to become strong enough to search for his wives without getting killed on the way.
"I know what you are thinking. But do you really think the cultivation levels ahead of you would be as easy as your journey till now? You will only be dreaming if you think you can get as powerful as this annoying girl within 3 years. And don't think reaching her level is enough. You have to at least get to the Prime Ethereal Realm to make sure you still stand some chance of not dying in the face of the strongest monster out there. An average cultivator would take at least 400 years to go from the Noble Ethereal Realm to the Prime Ethereal Realm. Geniuses would take half of that, and as for you, 10 considering your monstrous talents."
Damien felt disheartened hearing that since if he had a choice, he wouldn't even have waited a single day to find his wife, "That many years? I can't wait that long. My wives need me. I won't even be able to sleep at night thinking if they might get into trouble the next second."
Luna felt his soul plane quiver and said with a sigh, "This goddess might have overlooked some things before. I also never said it's impossible. As much as I don't like it, this Old World has nethereal energy and richer ethereal energy, which can accelerate your cultivation progress faster than it did in the Rising Sun Continent. Since your existence is unprecedented, even I can't guess how long you would really take. But surely you will have better support considering your aunt seems determined to invest her time and resources in you. You won't be alone like when you started out as a cripple back over there. You just have to give it your best, just like how you did for saving Lily."
Damien smiled, feeling relieved hearing Luna's words, and said, "I was never alone. You have been with me every step of the way since I got this second life. Your support is something I can never repay but make sure that I can fulfill your wish."
Luna tucked in her hair as she said, "If you fulfill this goddess' wish, then I shall handsomely reward you."
"Reward me what? Anything I ask?" Damien asked with one of his brows raised, making Luna confidently lift her chin, "As the supreme one, I can grant you anything possible within the laws of this universe. If you want 10,000 beauties in your harem, you shall have it," Luna said with a playful smirk.
"Nah…I don't want that many. All I want is one. But you have to promise me you will grant that beauty to me," Damien said with a certain glint in his eyes.
Luna waved her hands casually as she said, "Of course, it can be done. Wait…You didn't tell which beauty this is for you to…" Luna trailed off as something clicked in her head and glared at Damien, "You…Just forget about it!"
Kalypso, who was pouting all along seeing these two act so familiar, suddenly chimed in, "Why are you getting so excited? You only made a promise just now to grant his wish. Are you now going back on your word? I didn't expect the supreme goddess to be that petty."
Kalypso could guess which 'beauty' her Master was talking about, and that was why she was eager to attack Luna at this opportune time.
"Ughh, I am going back to sleep!" Luna felt that she might lose face if she lingered outside any longer and went back inside her Shard of Essence.
However, Damien smiled, seeing her reaction, though Kalypso suddenly said, "Master, I know I was not there for you since you were born, but I promise you that I will stand by you no matter what happens. By duty and desire, I am your eternal servant," Kalypso didn't want to fall short of Luna and wanted to make sure her Master realized it as well.
"You are more than just a servant to me, Kalypso, ever since you connected with my soul. You are indispensable to me," Damien said, realizing that no matter where he went or what happened, he would never be alone because of Luna and Kalypso.
However, he felt a prickling sensation on his back and looked behind to see Mira staring at him with an empty expression before looking away, making him wonder if she was pissed at him for having to look after him?
He thought she must have never seen this coming in her life, though he didn't mind.
And before he realized it, they were already back at the Ghoul City, where they descended towards the black tower where Akira lived. However, not only Akira and Mira but Damien were also surprised to see a large gathering down below, as if waiting for them.
