Rise of The Demon General-Chapter 299. Bullshit
Chapter 299: Chapter 299. Bullshit
Amon reduced his outdoor activities and concentrated on cultivating in the following months. Yan Fan had pointed out he would focus his attention on Amon. Amon didn’t want to risk it. He only went out on a proper mission.
He knew Yan Fan was a good investigator. He also knew that such an investigator had the ego of proving their hypothesis lawfully. He knew Yan Fan was unlikely to ambush him for his life as the senior students did in Grimwich Village. Still, he tried his best to shake off anyone who trailed him whenever he went out. It was just more difficult when the one trailing him was a Peak Mystic Stage cultivator. It took a considerable effort to shake him off every time.

Another year passed. Entering the third year of Junior class, Amon’s cultivation breakthrough to the Intermediate Transformation Stage. He remained ahead of others. He thought he should be the first to reach this level among the junior students. He couldn’t be sure about Sima Fang, though, because she was also using concealment art.
Amon’s cultivation speed was thanks to his meridian points technique. He could now maintain his condition under the meridian points boost for twelve hours. Without having to stop reapplying the technique, his cultivation pace increased. Even when he was dividing his time to cultivate infernal cultivation, his cultivation speed was now faster than before he used the meridian points technique.
Another thing he learned after continuing to practice the meridian points technique was that his body was also more susceptible to the body-strengthening technique compared to other cultivators.
Tao Su taught them a basic strengthening technique by poking several meridian points in their bodies. Their physical strength and speed increased after applying the technique, but most could only sustain the condition for several minutes. Five minutes was the longest they could last.
As for Amon, he could sustain the strengthening condition for one hour. The amplification he received was also more considerable than others. When he used the technique, his Intermediate Transformation Stage body could physically compete against a Peak Transformation Stage cultivator.
He was sure then this advantage he possessed had nothing to do with his willpower. It was another innate ability of his Demon Body.
In terms of using the meridian points technique in martial arts or arcane arts, he didn’t have an advantage over the others. Those who used the technique received amplification only for one attack. Amon was the same. The technique only reinforced his one attack.
In this third year, he could already apply the technique fast enough in combat. He couldn’t do it all the time, though. He only used it when he wanted to deal a finishing strike with a high hit chance.
His infernal cultivation also advanced. His black energy core now had the cultivation of the Intermediate Wicked Stage of the Acolyte Realm. The intermingling aether inside his mixed energy space was now enough for him to perform three attacks.
He also had advancements in his arts. He prioritized training three arts and successfully upgraded their mastery levels.
The first was the Corporeal Shifting Branches. His mastery reached the Master level. With this mastery, he could create vines from his two hands. They were also longer and sturdier. They could reach forty meters long, and he had trouble cutting them using the knives made of the Cave Mantle Cats’ claws. He also had greater control over them. They moved following his will. He could stand still and let these two vines slap everyone who came near him.
The second art was the Great Virulent Serpent. This art was now at Expert mastery. Aside from receiving increased defense, this art also caused his muscles to become tougher but flexible. He gained increased strength and agility. His augmented muscles also allowed him to perform explosive movements.
If he combined this transformation art with the body-strengthening meridian points technique, he could withstand a physical contest against a Beginning Mystic Stage cultivator.
The third art he focused on was Concealed Ghost Body. He finally practiced this art to its pinnacle, the grandmaster level. At this mastery, he could turn invisible when he channeled the art to the fullest. He couldn’t move while being invisible. So, he could only use this skill for hiding, not offense. Even so, he was glad about this skill. The invisibility would be priceless when he needed stealth.
The invisibility was not perfect, though. Since he could not see himself while invisible, he performed this skill for Tuang Yin and Xin Wuming to learn their feedback. Both were shocked when Amon turned invisible. Tuang Yin demanded Amon teach her, while Xin Wuming swore to spend more time practicing this art. They had never heard of an art that turned one invisible, after all.
When Amon showed them, they both remarked that while they couldn’t see Amon, they still knew something was there. There was a distortion of light where Amon was. Hence, if Amon used this art in broad daylight, perceptive people could still locate him. On the other hand, when he used it in shadowy areas, he was completely concealed. This gave him the best idea of how to utilize this transformation art.

As Amon continued to focus on his cultivation, Xin Wuming came to visit.
"Brother, we have found her," Xin Wuming reported.
"Good," Amon responded. He listened to Xin Wuming’s detailed report before sneaking out of the Royal Academy under disguise.
He knew Yan Fan was targeting him. Normally, he was safe when in disguise, but he still trekked around in a confusing pattern while studying his surroundings. Only after ensuring no one was trailing him that he went to his destination.
His destination was a tavern near the slums. The tavern was a run-down place normally frequented by ruffians. The drinks were bad, the meals were worse, and the service was terrible. Only those with nowhere else to go would come here.
Amon was wearing a hood when he entered. Inside, almost half the customers also wore hoods. He looked around, searching for someone. It was difficult, considering half the people here tried to hide their identities.
He finally located his target. The person was sitting alone by a small table in the corner, drinking cheap wine aggressively. That person was also wearing a hood, but Amon’s enhanced eyes caught a glimpse of the face under the hood. He came to the table and sat opposite the person. His hood was still on.
"Piss off!" The hooded person said. The voice was of a woman.
"Until when are you going to feel sorry for yourself?" Amon asked.
The woman was about to drink another cup but stopped after hearing Amon’s voice. She slammed the cup onto the table and looked at Amon.
"You...!" She exclaimed. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
The face under the hood was Gao Lan, the second-in-command of the past Sewer Snakes. Her face showed she was about to lunge forward to tear Amon apart, but that face quickly receded to indifference.
"Fuck off! You have won. I’m not interested in hearing you gloat. Or, if you are here to finish me. Do it fast. I will be grateful," she said before drinking her cup.
"I’m not here to gloat or finish you. I’m here to give you an offer," Amon said.
Gao Lan laughed upon hearing the words. "Then you have come to the wrong person. I have nothing I want from you and nothing I can give you."
"I disagree... That scar on your face. Was it done by Gao Pan?" Amon asked.
A long scar decorated Gao Lan’s previously beautiful face. It ran from her left temple all the way down to her left chin. She shifted her hood to cover the scar after Amon mentioned it.
"Fuck off...!!" She repeated her words angrily.
Amon placed a pill on the table. "This is a Regrowth Pill."
Gao Lan looked at the pill but didn’t take it.
"Just take it. It’s a gift. You don’t need to feel indebted to me for that pill," Amon assured.
She still didn’t.
"You are wrong about I have nothing to give you, and you have nothing for me," Amon said. "For example, I can help you get back at Gao Pan."
Gao Lan’s eyes, which were staring at the regrowth pill, turned to Amon. Amon could see the ferocity in her eyes, but she continued to be silent.
"If you follow my instructions, I guarantee he will be in your hands by the end of this week," Amon added.
Gao Lan finally responded. "Bullshit! He always has his men nearby. He is an intermediate Mystic Stage cultivator. One of his closest men is a Beginning Mystic Stage cultivator. The only way to get to him is if you mount a full attack using the full force of the Demon Gang. Even then, I doubt you can win."
Amon grinned. "Did you remember when we first met, I said that I would have my influence over this city before I graduate from the Royal Academy? You didn’t say it, but I bet in your mind, you also called my words bullshit then. Look at me now. Do you still think I spew bullshit? I always make a promise I can keep. If I say I can help you get Gao Pan, I can!"
