Waking up, Ezra once again cleans himself of red dust.

Adjusting posture, he sits in the lotus form, and kicks off a new meditation session to check the effects of nova refinement.

The Infinitesimal Blood Clot Storm technique processes both the essence within nascent treasures and treasures themselves.

This not only removed the need for an alchemist, but also made it one of the most efficient techniques for nova refinement.

Nova refinement tiers are accorded using the efficacy of refining nova essence.

Low tier techniques refined 25-35%, while middle tier techniques refined 50-65%, while top tier techniques refined 70-95% of the absorbed nova essence, with the rest going to waste during the refinement process.

The glittering red steam Ezra exuded earlier was the inevitable residue that escaped refining.

Therefore, very little of the nova essence is wasted, meaning the amount of nova essence Ezra gained would differ either by a little or by a lot even if they were given the same number of treasures-further widening the gap.

Making his decision, Ezra requests an analysis of the two from Zydrax, as he yet to understand how the crustaceans attack worked.

Thirty Minutes Later....

Ezra rises from the ground.

He grabs a new set of clothes from amongst the ones he had bought from the AlphaNova mall and using <Gatekeeper>, he returns to the entrance of the island.

Entering, the two dance partners he left unattended started running towards him, letting out cries.

The crustacean wasted no time spinning to let its arms loose, determined to not lose its prey a second time.

So immediately, he turns his attention to the sea creature and spirits towards it.

Taking note of his behavior, the sea creature was practically delighted to have his prey run towards it.

But at the same time, it wasn’t stupid. The golem’s death enlightened them to an extent.

So if not anything, it knew it couldn’t allow Ezra to get close.

Opening its maw, the creature let off the same lava beam that almost killed Ezra before.

Only this time, Ezra was ready.

Rather than confront the beam head on like before, he begins to glide, generating ice below his feet for smooth movement.

With the advantage of ice’s slippery surface, Ezra didn’t even have to take out Skyfall.

He was dodging both the razors and the beam excellently and though he still received a few cuts here and there, it was a massive improvement compared to the first faceoff.

This continued for eight minutes, when finally, the sea creature relented and his lava beam dissipated.

It was the moment Ezra had been waiting for.

Instantly, he boosts his speed to max, leaves the razor arms in the dust and attacks the sea creature, stopping it from reentering the pool of lava.

As he did, the sea creature immediately changed tactics, and swings its large tail, flicking the lava atop its skin towards Ezra and then charged at him, aiming to pin him down.

As planned beforehand, Ezra activates <universal concealment> and vanishes from sight just as the lava would reach him.

Turning apprehensive, the sea creature instantly gives up the attack and coils around itself, believing in its defence.

Its skin was extremely thick, proving to be the second best defence amongst all the beasts, so it was highly confident that Skyfall wouldn’t be able to pierce such hard skin.

Ezra had theorized the same thing with Zydrax, so he didn’t intend to do that from the start.

Instead...

*Freeze*

Ice suddenly grew on the sea creature’s tail, much to its surprise.

As it would heat up its skin, more ice grew, covering its tail and Ezra’s visage became visible at the same stop.

Vein-popping and Muscles-bulging, Ezra started dragging the sea creature in a circle, spinning, before tossing it afar like a sack of waste.

Immediately, he conceals himself again, avoiding the hail of razor arms aiming for him.

Landing, the sea creature smashes in the ground, tumbling for a bit before stopping.

Shaking its head, it was groggy but quickly stood back on its feet, defiant.

But just as the sea creature stabilized itself, its mouth suddenly snapped open without its consent.

Trying to get a grasp on the situation, Ezra’s visage suddenly becomes visible, dispersing its confusion.

At the same time, dread came over it

But, it hadn’t stopped shooting its lava beam because it couldn’t, because the level of energy within its body had gone below the optimum level as it would rather not become vulnerable after a hunt and become food for the other beasts.

Therefore, it had more than enough firepower left for emergencies, such as this.

On Ezra’s side, opening the mouth brought him face to face with a molten core, which is exactly what he was looking to find.

The core suddenly heats up, ready to let loose, so Ezra stretches his palm and lets out his own ice energy, countering the sea creature’s lava breath before it could fully manifest.

Opposite element clashed fiercely within the beast’s maw, but precisely because it was happening within the creature’s body, it started to feel a lot of pain, which caused its lava breath to falter.

The moment it did, Ezra won.

His energy immediately envelopes the sea creature, freezing it from within and outside as well.

Though not yet dead, Ezra counted the sea creature to have been defeated, a large smile brimming across his face while taking deep breaths.

As he would rejoice...

*Slash!*

A familiar object tore through his skin.

’Seriously?’ thought Ezra, feeling more annoyed than hurt.

Turning with haste, Ezra finds the other pair of razor arms almost on him.

Concealing himself, Ezra seeks to induct the frozen sea creature, but it simply disassembles into essence like the golem had, leaving behind the molten core and a few shards.

With the benefit of concealment, Ezra leisurely inducts the shards and molten core into the sovereign universe before releasing it.

Taking out Skyfall in its original state, Ezra reveals himself, boldly and proudly to the crustacean.

This beast is the most annoying of the three it fought, so Ezra intends to bash its head in before he could feel satisfied.

The crustacean, standing on business as always, screeched at the top of its lungs before tossing its razor arms towards Ezra.

Having understood the mechanism of the spinning arms, Ezra is much less worried.

’I just have to stop them from spinning’

Not to mention, there was no additional opponent for Ezra to be worried about...

With this thought, he takes a quick look at the other beasts, but none of them have left their spots.

Ezra lets out a breath of relief.

Now, he could fully focus on crushing this damn crab.

Locking in, Ezra immaculately dodges the razor arms, using ice beneath his feet to augment his movements while occasionally deflecting the ones that came at him directly.

Ezra’s plan is simple, he intends to stop the razor arms from spinning, because Zydrax had guessed that once he did the arms wouldn’t move anymore.

The problem is, doing so isn’t easy because the four arms were spinning in close proximity to one another.

So Ezra has to use another method to stop them, because trying to fight the crab while those arms were still spinning would end up with him losing far too much blood.

The crustacean seemed to have realized that as well, as it attacked aggressively, trying to force Ezra into close combat by closing on him with its legs while its last two razor arms protected it from attacks with their range of movement far less restricted.

Thinking, Ezra lures the crustacean to a slope and once it sends the razor arms after him, he releases a large amount of energy to augment his body with lightning, drastically increasing his speed.

With this much speed, Ezra rises above the spinning arms within the blink of an eye and strikes them down.

The razor arms had no choice but to scatter and impale themselves into the ground.
