It was an expensive buy but it was worth it, if it worked as intended. To Aldrich this will make communicating with his free and associates much easier instead of having to do so in person.

Naturally he had to take care of it and feed it. Besides the employee advised him to train it in Voryhrm first just so that it knows to return to him.

It had to get used to him in order for it to completely recognize him as the new owner. It was not too late to return it if it didn't perform as he was told.

Aldrich carried his new pet in a small cage and made a trip to the Imperial bank branch but he was not planing on going in there, at least not personally.

"Hey you," Aldrich called to one of the boys by the street playing with a wooden wheel but it seems he didn't hear him, "boy, in the brown hat."

"Y-yes," the boy hesitatingly answered.

"Take this letter and deliver it to an employee in the bank, if you do then this is yours." He took out a copper coin and showed it to the boy.

"R-really? Just to give it to any employee?" The boy asked in excitement.

"Yes, just that. Easy right? Now go!" Aldrich gave him the letter and patted him on the back towards the bank.

The boy returned soon after and Aldrich did as he promised and gave him the copper coin.

"Thank you! Sir!" The boy clutched the coin tightly.

"It's fine you did your part, go on now."

The boy joined the rest of his friends and they all clamored around him and because very loud. Aldrich looked at them for a while, when did he stop playing like them? How long has it been?

Aldrich walked back intending to go to the private carriage stop to return to his apartment, he carried the messenger in his left hand and walked leisurely.

*Splash!*

He was suddenly splashed with some water?— no it was some other liquid he was drenched in it, it might be alcohol by the smell.

He looked at the source of the liquid, it was a lanky looking young man, maybe two three years older than him.

He had a mean look to him and he was leaning on the wall of a building leading to an ally with another man. 𝘧𝚛𝗲𝘦𝚠𝙚𝙗𝙣o𝙫𝗲𝚕.𝐜o𝓂

"Whatcha lookin' at asshole? I thought we made it clear not to even look this way. Get the fuck outta her before I pummel the living shit out of ya!" He yelled.

Aldrich couldn't believe that he was randomly attacked like that. He never met this bastard and yet he did that? No, he held himself back.

"Did someone put you up to this?" Aldrich asked the lanky man.

"What the fuck are you still doing here? Eh? Wanna die? Tired of living?!" The lanky man did not answer and instead pulled out a pocked knife.

"You can't be serious…?" Aldrich didn't know if this man was acting, provoking him into action or actually that dumb.𝐟𝐫𝗲𝙚w𝚎𝐛𝙣𝐨𝙫𝘦𝗹.c૦m

Aldrich walked into the ally to the surprise of the punk and his friends. They were so surprised that they just gawked at him for a good minute.

"H— you actually want to die? Fine!" The lanky punk charged at him with his tiny knife. Aldrich caught his hand and twisted.

Before he knew what was going on he was aware of himself writhing on the cobblestones his right arm twisted backwards so that his shoulder was dislocated and bent along with his bones and flesh.

Aldrich looked at his hand for a moment then turned around with a speed that grade zero creatures couldn't comprehend and slapped the second fellow into the wall, leaving a red hand print on his face.

He looked around for a long while after but he wasn't ambushed or attacked, no one seemed to care either.

'Huh, that's weird.'

Aldrich thought that a Crestmaster must be hiding somewhere or something. It was strange that these two did that without any backing.

They just provoked someone on the street randomly?

But then again this was life. Sometimes things don't follow any rhyme of reason, things can happen randomly.

On a normal day a peaceful secluded village could be attacked out of nowhere by an army. Things happen.

Aldrich returned back to his apartment safely, and he went out of his way to change carriages and go to other streets to lose any who might have kept tail on him.

He was being cautious. What if it was a setup? He didn't know. How can ordinary people attack a Crestmaster so casually. Of course there was no way they could have known. They just got lucky.

As for why he let them live? It was because killing in the city was troublesome. He was in the right but he didn't feel like wasting six months on a case in court.

Aldrich took a bath and fed the little pet some fresh meat from the fridge, it was not cooked but this monster preferred it that way.

Then he wore his cloths and after sunset took a carriage to Wellcoston 5th street, this street was packed with high class restaurants with rating of five Apples. Like the Sleeping denizen for example.

It started raining so he opened his umbrella and crossed the street, from the looks of it, it was going to get heavier.

If he had booked a table on the weekend he wouldn't have gotten one.

The waiter lead him to a table in the second floor that faced the window. There a beautiful lady was looking at the rain out of the window.

She was not wearing a dress, which was out of place, but anyone would ignore most of her fault after looking at her weepy face and big eyes.

"Did I make you wait, my lady?" Aldrich asked sarcastically.

"Yes, I have been her for fifteen minutes already." She curtly responded and Aldrich lamented her sharp reply.

"Well, it's good that way you learned patience." He laughed to dismiss her.
