Rise of the Primordial Dragon beast tamer-Chapter 44: The True Dragon’s Ascension.(last bonus Chapter)
Chapter 44 - The True Dragon's Ascension.(last bonus Chapter)
Azvoid reclined on a jagged boulder, his mind still swirling from the rush of integrating his newly replicated talent. The isolated canyon he warped to was a barren wasteland, veiled in shadows and distant roars of unknown beasts. His breath steamed in the chill air, but he relished the harshness. It grounded him. Reminded him he was alive and still growing.
"Now that's what I call progress," Azvoid smirked, his gaze flickering with excitement. The talent he replicated was already being tempered by his bloodline. He could feel it, the raw power stirring within him, becoming something more.
Still...It wasn't enough.

A sudden ripple of darkness swept over him. His mental space called to him, a cold, commanding presence lingering within. Azvoid exhaled and closed his eyes, allowing his consciousness to be drawn into the swirling void of his mindscape.
He appeared within a dimly lit cavern of shadows, the endless dark undulating like an ocean. And there, standing with a regal, terrifying grace, was Noctis. The dragon's enormous figure dominated the space, eyes like fractured galaxies locking onto him.
"Well, well, if it isn't my favorite paranoid human," Noctis's voice was a blend of amusement and impatience. "You've been reckless, Azvoid. Always dancing with power like it's some sort of lover. Did you really think your bloodline would just keep upgrading talents without consequence?"
Azvoid's smirk faltered. "Hey, it's not my fault my bloodline's too good for cheap tricks. It's like it spits on lesser talents and demands something better."
Noctis let out a rumbling chuckle. "And that arrogance will be your downfall if you're not careful." His tone shifted, growing grave. "I called you here because it's time for you to face something you've been ignoring. Your bloodline... It's not merely powerful. It's cursed."
"Cursed?" Azvoid frowned, feeling a chill crawl down his spine.
"Yes. You see, your bloodline is from the Supreme Ancient True Primordial Dragons. The purest, most destructive lineage ever to exist. However, such power comes with a price. A curse that is meant to keep those of your kind from ever rising too high. You've been replicating talents and forcing them to integrate into your bloodline. That's already against its natural order. But your bloodline is too proud to simply accept them."
"So, what are you saying?" Azvoid asked, narrowing his eyes.
"I'm saying the curse is stirring. The more you force your bloodline to enhance abilities, the closer you come to losing control over it. It's not something you can simply brute force your way through."
Azvoid's fists clenched, but there was a thrill in his eyes. "Then how do I fix it?"
Noctis let out a deep, rumbling sigh. "That's the thing. You can't simply fix it. You have to conquer it. Your bloodline must be cultivated properly. You've been wielding power without any true understanding of what it means to control it. And now, it's time you learn. I will teach you a cultivation method designed specifically for your lineage. Something even the ancient dragons dared not attempt."
Azvoid's curiosity flared. "Go on."
"This method is known as The True Dragon's Ascension. It involves refining your bloodline by breaking down and reconstructing talents at their most fundamental level. Only then will they be worthy of merging with your bloodline, enhancing their strength to match your potential."
"Sounds... insane," Azvoid admitted, though his smirk hinted at excitement.
"Oh, it is. And it will be agonizing. But here's the twist." Noctis's gaze darkened. "You must master this cultivation method before the curse consumes you. And to accelerate your growth, you will undergo a trial. One designed to temper your body, mind, and soul to their absolute limits."
Azvoid's brow arched. "Let me guess. It's called 'The Shadows' Judgment.'"
Noctis's grin was savage. "Good. You've been paying attention. And yes, it will be a test like no other. You will face remnants of the abyssal forces Zephiron once commanded. Fragments of his power will be pitted against you. If you survive, you will gain a new ability from me, a fragment of my own power to boost your cultivation progress."
Azvoid's eyes gleamed. The thrill of a challenge always stirred something primal within him. But beyond the excitement, there was a cold calculation. This training arc was not just to get stronger. It was necessary to prevent his bloodline's curse from overtaking him.
"So what's the catch?" Azvoid asked.
"The catch?" Noctis's amusement was almost cruel. "If you fail, the curse will devour you. Your own bloodline will consume your existence, leaving nothing but an empty shell of madness. Oh, and it will hurt. A lot. But if you succeed... you will become stronger than you ever imagined. Ready to transcend your limits."
Azvoid took a deep breath. Despite the chilling words, he found himself grinning. "Alright then. Let's do this."
Noctis's massive form loomed closer, the shadows coiling like living creatures around him. "Good. But prepare yourself, Azvoid. Because the trial begins... now."
The darkness surged forward, enveloping Azvoid's consciousness and dragging him into an abyss filled with unending terror and monstrous shadows. And somewhere within that hellish domain, a fragment of Zephiron's malevolent essence stirred, eager to devour him whole....
