Roadmap to the Boundless Sky-Chapter 113Book 3, : Experience The Meaning Of Fists
The technicians of the Resolution Department were doing their best to get rid of the domain interference at the crossroad.
They soon realized that there were a lot of domain interferences rather than one. Still, they had enough resources to deal with them. It would only take them ten minutes at most to get rid of the interference and restore the signal.
In truth, the ones who performed the domain interference had set it to last for around ten minutes.
In their estimations, when taking into consideration the communications between the officers, lower-ranking officers asking for orders, higher-ranking officers giving orders, the mobilization of officers, and other steps, around ten minutes were required for the security guards and nearest martial artists to get to the crossroad. That amount of time was enough for Wei Wusheng to kill his target and leave.
Just then, the technician in charge of examining domain traces submitted an update to the department. The photos Wei Wusheng posted had been edited; they were actually taken yesterday.
Why did he go through so much effort to lie about the time of the fight?
Once they connected this to the crossroad to the arena being hit with a domain interference and the fact that two students in a nearby bus had been on Rhinoceros’ Horn, they came up with a clear answer.
Wei Wusheng was highly likely to be there!
With that conclusion, the Resolution Department immediately issued an order for the Third Limit Resolution Department officer closest to the area to head there right away. If he ran into Wei Wusheng, he was to do everything in his power to hold him back.

After Ni Qianqian ended her conversation with Chen Chuan, she felt that something was off. As she sat in a sentry post in the arena, she mulled over his tone.
What exactly was he trying to do?
Once she received news from the department, a theory formed in her mind.
Could it be...
When she remembered how Chen Chuan had said that he had improved, she thought of a possibility.
As part of the intuition faction, she skipped over all the deductions and arrived immediately at the conclusion.
It was the most logical one she could form.
But Wei Wusheng had killed Third Limit martial artists before, while Chen Chuan was just a student who had entered the Third Limit a few days ago. Logically, he couldn’t possibly put up any semblance of a proper fight against Wei Wusheng, but for some reason, Ni Qianqian had a hunch that Chen Chuan would win.
***
At the crossroads, Chen Chuan removed his coat and protective shirt before tossing them to the side. With only a white dress shirt remaining, he walked over to Wei Wusheng.
Normal punches weren’t going to be effective against a body hardening expert like Wei Wusheng. The damage he could deal was going to be minimal, so it would be difficult for him to get a decisive strike. He had to fight with extreme strength and speed.
On the way to Wei Wusheng, Chen Chuan released all restraints over his mutated tissue, then took a deep breath.
When he exhaled, his breath was scorching hot. His skin started turning red, and wisps of steam rose from his skin.
Wei Wusheng removed his torn shirt to reveal the tight-fitting, white undershirt underneath. He then strode over to Chen Chuan as well.
The moment they were around ten meters away from each other, they sped up simultaneously.
Wei Wusheng leaned forward and threw a punch at Chen Chuan’s face while hiding his other hand by his waist. His fingers were spread apart slightly, as if he was generating power to grab Chen Chuan.
Since Chen Chuan had removed the restraints over his mutated tissue and used the Furnace Breathing Technique to give him an additional boost of power, every aspect of his fighting strength had increased.
Once the punch was about to hit him, Chen Chuan leaned forward, sped up, and, like lightning, threw a punch that brushed past Wei Wusheng’s arm and rammed into his face.
The punch contained all of Chen Chuan’s power. His body moved with the momentum generated by the punch, and even his feet seemed to have left the ground during the instant.
Wei Wusheng’s face twisted painfully when the punch landed. His neck stretched back and yanked his entire body backward. It threw him off his feet, and he crashed into the car behind him with a loud bang. The bonnet sank in.
Once Chen Chuan completely released his power, he landed on the ground. The moment his feet touched it, he lowered his center of gravity, bent his knees a little, stomped on the ground, and jumped toward Wei Wusheng. He threw another punch at his target.
Wei Wusheng’s pupils shrank, and he rolled to the side. Chen Chuan hit the bonnet with the force and sound of a cannonball. The car jumped from the impact, and a hole opened up beneath the car.
Chen Chuan pulled his fist back and slowly straightened his body. Wisps of white steam rose from him. Even though his body was boiling, his eyes remained calm and serene.
He had been accumulating energy with the Furnace Breathing Technique for several months, so it would last him through the entire fight.
Chen Chuan started walking toward his opponent.
Wei Wusheng gave him one long and hard look before grabbing a car next to him and throwing it at Chen Chuan with a growl.
In response, Chen Chuan brought a hand up, grabbed the edge of the car, and shoved it to the side as easily as if it were a toy. It skidded for around six meters before crashing into another car and stopping. Both cars trembled violently before toppling over.
Wei Wusheng appeared behind Chen Chuan and threw a punch at his head.
Chen Chuan leaned forward and let the fist graze the top of his head before he stepped back. When their shoulders almost touched, he rammed his elbow into Wei Wusheng’s stomach.
Wei Wusheng grunted and fell back. He could feel a refined force charging into him like a drill. Even with his body hardening, he couldn’t block it entirely. After a moment, his knees buckled, and he fell on one knee while his hands pushed against the ground.
“You’re too slow,” Chen Chuan said while remaining in the same pose.
Wei Wusheng stood up slowly while staring at him and straightened his back before yanking off his undershirt to reveal his muscled chest and wide shoulders. After a deep breath, his muscles pulsed, and his breathing changed.
He spread his arms and leaned forward. With a shout, he lunged at Chen Chuan.
The moment he got closer, he tried to grab Chen Chuan. This time, his attack speed and strength were much greater, and his movements were faster as well. While attacking Chen Chuan with Sanshou moves, he also included a number of grappling moves.
Chen Chuan parried the stream of punches and kicks. Since mutated tissue covered every inch of his body, he could come up with various defense moves and negate all sorts of refined forces extremely quickly.
Now that his senses had become sharper, he could also easily notice every bit of change in Wei Wusheng’s breathing and power the moment they came into contact with each other.
Firm forces only allowed a martial artist to perform direct, straightforward attacks, whereas yielding forces allowed all sorts of grappling techniques and locks. Wei Wusheng could switch between the two refined forces with ease. Every time their fists clashed, one of the two refined forces charged into Chen Chuan.
It was as if two Third Limit martial artists were in one body.
However, even if Wei Wusheng had two refined forces and could use them one after another, he had to use them separately. They couldn’t be merged together and couldn’t compare to Chen Chuan’s current strength. Wei Wusheng was also a tad slower.
And being slower by a bit was a world of difference when it came to a high-caliber fight between martial artists.
After parrying more than ten blows, Chen Chuan suddenly kicked Wei Wusheng’s shoulder. He had been accumulating power in that leg for a long time, so Wei Wusheng tumbled to the side and almost shot through the entire stretch of the road. He only stopped after crashing into a streetlight.
Chen Chuan lowered his leg and placed it on the ground.
Back in the bus, Mr. Bai was dumbfounded. The burst of power and speed Wei Wusheng had displayed just now had caused his heart to tremble in fear. The only thing he could do when faced with such an offense would be to avoid it.
Yet Chen Chuan beat the powerful and fearsome offense back, barehanded. To do that in a pure contest of strength, his physical abilities had to be close to or even higher than his opponent’s.
And who was Wei Wusheng? He was a man who had racked up wins by killing multiple martial artists. When had the main campus been able to produce such a powerful student?
The technicians at the Resolution Department finally removed the domain interference, and the Realm Nodes gave them a clear, accurate view of what had happened to the place.
At this point, they had little to no hope that the two students in the bus were still alive. After all, ten minutes had passed since the accident happened. If Wei Wusheng had really appeared, it was more than enough time for him to locate and kill them, and then run away. The technicians locked down the other frequency bands and roads, so things would not become too ugly.
They were prepared to get attacked while seeing the bodies of the two dead students. All they could hope for was being able to stop Wei Wusheng before he left.
But when they saw what was going on, they held their breaths without even noticing it. Some of the officers watching from the headquarters even took a few steps forward while staring at the scene with wide eyes.
Wei Wusheng was leaning against a crooked streetlight. His body was covered in lacerations and dirt, while his face was caked in dried blood. In all, he looked pathetic.
Standing across from him was Chen Chuan, who looked relaxed and calm. The sun shone from his side, and his shadow on the ground looked like a sharp sword pointing at Wei Wusheng.
What’s going on?
That uniform... Is that one of our law enforcers?
Who is it, though?
While most of them were confused, someone said, “I think... that’s Chen Chuan.” After a brief pause, he continued uncertainly, “He’s one of our back-up law enforcers, a Martial Valor University student...”
Someone else added, “I think he’s one of the two students on the bus who had been on Rhinoceros’ Horn...”
The other officers were baffled. Wei Wusheng came to fight Chen Chuan, only to end up getting beaten?
Besides, Chen Chuan was just a back-up law enforcer. Could a mere student be capable of such a feat?
“You said he’s part of the Resolution Department, right?”
The officers turned their eyes to the person who spoke, and he said, “I think we don’t have to lock down the frequency bands anymore. We can show this scene to all channels in Central City.”
Someone else was uncertain. “But that’s Wei Wusheng. He’s a body hardening expert, and we can’t be sure Chen Chuan will win. What if...”
“None of that.” The person stared at the screen. “The other officers are already heading there. We won’t lose this time.”
“Remove the lock,” a deep voice said in the people’s Realm Passes.
The officers’ hearts trembled. “Roger, Director Wu!”
As the order was given to the sentry posts, the technicians carried out the order.
“Removing the lock.”
“Removing the lock.”
“Removing the lock.”
At that moment, the domain lockdown over the area was lifted, and all the people in Central City paying attention to this matter were able to see the two martial artists in the area.
