Roadmap to the Boundless Sky-Chapter 152Book 3, : Attack
A charming woman opened one of the cars’ doors and stepped out. She planted a high-heeled foot on the ground, then emerged from the car, showing off her thin waist, short skirt, fur coat, and purple eyeshadow.
She sauntered over to the patrol car and handed one of the patrol guards her residential card while winking at him seductively.
When the patrol guards looked at her, a psychedelic light shone in her eyes, and they became transfixed.
The charming woman moved her fingers, and two implants as thin as hair stretched out. They crawled into the patrol guards’ napes.
A moment passed, and the patrol guards snapped out of their daze. One of them checked the card and found that the woman was a resident, but he didn’t lower his guard just because of it. He cast a glance at the other cars and asked, “Why are there so many of you?”
The woman flashed a charming smile and said in a voice dripping with honey, “We’ve been invited by a family here. They prefer a lively atmosphere, so the more people, the better.”
“Are all the people in the cars guests?”
“Precisely.”
“Can we check? Sorry, but we’re responsible for the safety of all our residents.”
“But of course.”
The woman smiled and walked back to the motorcade. Whenever she passed by a car, she opened the door. Sitting in them were built men and women dressed in overgarments. All of them had snake-shaped accessories. Some of them were lip piercings, while others were pinned snake brooches.
The people’s gazes were cold. A few of them had scars and snake tattoos on their faces. They looked like barbarians.
Yet in the eyes of the patrol guards, they were charming, seductive, beautiful women and good-looking men dressed in gorgeous clothes.
The patrol guards remembered other times when they had seen such people being sent to this or that manor, and strange expressions appeared on their faces.
After checking, one of the patrol guards handed the woman her card back and said, “Sorry for the trouble.”
Then, they returned to their patrol car and reconvened with the patrol car at the back. They also notified their superiors. “We checked. There’s nothing wrong with them. They’re residents in the east going to a party in the north. The people in the motorcade... are dressed like that. You know exactly what sort of party they’re going to. Seriously, though, that woman was really charming.”
After the patrol cars left, the motorcade started moving forward again. Sheng Hui looked behind him and praised the woman. “Big Sis Feng, your hypnosis always manages to impress.”
Xian Quanfeng, the woman Sheng Hui was talking to, waved off his praise. “You don’t have to praise me. I’m only able to do this because we have a biosentient entity specializing in biofield interferences. Otherwise, their implants would have detected physiological abnormalities the moment I hypnotized them. If that had happened, all the security guards in Motie Mountain would have been alerted to our presence.”
A shadow passed over them, and a beam of light swept past the motorcade. They also heard the sound of propellers.
It came from the small airship patrolling Motie Mountain. It was a huge threat for them. Even if they had a few Third Limit martial artists, they couldn’t do much against the airships, which were so high up. That was why they had to avoid fighting against them. Luckily for them, the fog grew thicker and visibility dropped, so the airships shouldn’t patrol the area as often.
After this, the motorcade didn’t run into any other obstacles and drew closer to Meng Shu’s manor. Due to the fog, they could only see its outline.
“Is this the place?” Xian Quanfeng asked.
“Yes. It’s right there,” Sheng Hui answered and tapped the divider separating them from the driver. “Go to the front and tell them to stop here.”
In less than a minute, the motorcade came to a stop at a corner. Sheng Hui checked his watch and said, “The time is just right. We have five extra minutes, so we should just wait.”
The fog provided the best cover. They had been waiting for a long time for this weather. Sheng Hui had also arranged for two other mercenary groups to attack other parts of Motie Mountain in order to attract the residential area’s security system. Once the security guards were tied up, they would launch their own ambush.
This was a convenient strategy and useful wherever it was applied.
Besides, even if all the mercenaries died, it would not matter. They would just not have to pay the balance and save up a lot of money.
It was time. In the east and west, they heard gunshots. Sheng Hui got out of his car and went to the middle-aged man. “Boss?”
The middle-aged man nodded, and Sheng Hui turned around to give his orders. “Check your equipment! Prepare to move out!”
The doors flung open, and the men and women of various heights got out of the cars.
“Remember that we have at most twenty minutes. We need to kill our target within that time to retreat safely.”
With great patience, Sheng Hui reminded everyone what they needed to be cautious of, even though he had already said it a few times before. Some of the members didn’t care about the plan, though, and only wanted to kill to their fill. If it weren’t for the boss holding them back, they wouldn’t have listened to Sheng Hui at all.
As the strategist, Sheng Hui had to remind them of the plan. Even if they only remembered bits of it, it’d still be good.
“The target only has one Third Limit martial artist protecting her. The others are all normal security guards and bioweapons. But you have to be careful. This martial artist is no easy target.
“You’ve seen the videos. He managed to kill Wei Wusheng, who is a body hardening expert, with his bare hand, and Feng Yaren died within three strides. Again, killed with his bare hands. You must take him out immediately so that he doesn’t have a chance to fight back.” 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
When Sheng Hui saw impatience appear on many of their faces, he stopped nagging. “Alright. Let’s go.”

The gunfire in the distance attracted the attention of the security guards in Meng Shu’s group, and they reported it to Chen Chuan. “Mr. Chen...”
Chen Chuan had already gotten out of his meditative state. “I heard it.”
When he said those words, he received no reply. Only white noise reached his ears. When he tried to contact Wu Bei and the others, he heard the same noise.
This was a sign that their domain signal had been blocked.
The moment was finally here.
So, he walked out of his villa and said to the security guard on duty. “The enemies are here. Get ready.”
The security guard froze for a moment before saluting Chen Chuan and running out. Then, Chen Chuan heard alarms blaring above the manor.
When Meng Shu heard the alarm in her bedroom, she got up and got dressed. A hint of nervousness appeared on her face, but when her servants, Yan Yi, and security guards rushed over, she schooled her face.
Yan Yi went over to her. “Let’s go down, Miss Shu.”
Meng Shu nodded. She followed the group into the basement, but when they passed by a window, she stopped for a moment and looked out.
“Mr. Chen has set up a tight defense, and he’s strong. He should be fine,” Yan Yi said.
Meng Shu nodded. Three female security guards immediately escorted her into the basement and locked up the place. The defensive measures here would ensure that the armed forces outside wouldn’t be able to break in.

At the same time, the Resolution Department officers paying attention to Meng Shu’s manor noticed that something was wrong, and a resonator said, “Captain Guan, we have domain interference!”
With a grim expression, Guan Ziyang said, “Looks like Meng Huang has attacked. Notify the Motie Mountain security team immediately, and I want the domain block to be cracked ASAP!”
“Roger!”

Chen Chuan returned to his villa and calmly put on his jacket, gloves, and protective mask. Then, he grabbed the Frost King Saber and walked out of the villa.
He looked down from where he stood. Due to the thick fog, he couldn’t see the details, but they had performed drills several times before, so the security guards weren’t panicking. They had swiftly reached their positions.
The aerial bioweapons also woke up from dormancy. During this crucial moment, they started flying back and forth. Their fighting abilities weren’t even their most important feature; it was their keen senses. The moment anyone moved past their defensive zone, no matter how fast that person was, the bioweapons would notice, and the rest of the security guards would be alerted too.
Spotlights lit up the manor, and they could see vague shadows in the fog. They were moving rapidly up the hill, so the gunmen at the firing positions at various parts of the manor started shooting.
The ambushers weren’t only Third Limit martial artists. There were also First and Second Limit martial artists as well as normal gunmen.
These people were in charge of attracting attention and providing offensive support. The moment the security guards started shooting, they immediately launched their counterattack.
But these people weren’t the greatest threat. The truly strong martial artists wouldn’t be held back by the terrain. They wouldn’t charge straight up, where all the firepower was gathered. Instead, they would come from the sides. So, he ignored those people and stood still with his saber in hand defending the hill leading up to the main manor.
Only a short time passed before he heard movement on his left. A burly figure charged over at a speed that someone his size shouldn’t have.
The man was built like a tank and had a thick, foldable shield on his back. Based on his appearance, Chen Chuan could tell that his muscles were as sturdy as rocks. He also had spiked brass knuckles. The man knocked aside the bioweapons in his path with enough force to tear them to shreds.
When one of the bioweapons crashed into his face, the man ducked his head, smashing it against his chin and chest. Then, he wiped the crushed bioweapon off. Once he came close to Chen Chuan, he jumped and landed at his eleven o’clock. The ground under his feet shattered.
The moment he landed, Chen Chuan appeared in front of him, and the man didn’t have time to pull over the shield on his back. With a shout, he threw a punch.
Chen Chuan didn’t dodge it. His breathing grew hot, and he threw a punch as well.
Bam!
Their fists clashed, and it was as if an explosion had erupted on the hill.
Wisps of white steam rose from the place where their fists connected. Like rising clouds, they blended into the fog. The man froze for a moment before cracking sounds came from his body. Blood gushed out of his pores, and the people who rushed in after him watched in shock as he slumped on the ground in a boneless heap.
Chen Chuan still had his arm extended, and his gaze was cold when he said calmly, “One.”
At the same time, the inner lining of his jacket, protective gear, and mask started glowing faintly.
