Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent-Chapter 206: Second Round of Pre-Qualifiers
"D-Dead?"
Emily was undoubtedly shocked, and so was Aaron. The girl didn’t expect the curse that had afflicted her for two years to significantly affect her body. She held Aaron’s hand; only he and Aerith could heal her.
"Please remove this curse, Master Venerable Sage," pleaded Emily, her eyes glazed over with tears.
Aaron sighed softly. He refocused his eyes forward, trying to confirm if there was a better way to cure her condition. Aerith nodded. With her knowledge, she knew the items and materials to remove the spell.
Even so, they still needed a record of the Inversion Spell. With it, the curse’s effects could be removed, but not the curse itself.
"First, Emily must activate the inversion spell on her body. Once the spell is active, then start removing the curse by consuming the high-level curse removal elixir," Aerith replied, stepping around Emily with her eyes still scanning the girl’s body, confirming it further.
"What material is it?" asked Aaron.
Aerith stopped walking and exchanged a short glance with Aaron. She pointed four fingers ahead, showing the four materials needed to concoct the High-Grade Curse Remover Elixir.
The first material was the Volcano Essence Gem, then the Falling Star Essence Gem, the Soul Essence of a fifth-tier level mage, and the Blood Vial of a Dark Element Primordial Level Monster.
Hearing the materials mentioned made Emily fall to her knees. These types of materials were not things that were easily obtained just like that. When looked at through the perspective of item rarity levels, all four were at the SSS Rare level.
"Wait! Are you kidding me? There are no primordial-level monsters. Then how did I get the Volcano Essence Gem and the Falling Star Essence Gem? I can still get the soul essence from the Integrity Knight stage mage," Aaron replied.
"You don’t need to find that stuff. Just let her do it. That’s her problem. You don’t need to get involved," Aerith said, pointing at Aaron.
"Even so, I—"
"HWAAAH!" cried Emily.
Shockingly, she cried loudly as she sat on the ground, tears flowing from her eyes and her heart beating fast. She was afraid that Aaron and Aerith would not help her.
"I don’t want to die. I’m not ready to die!" complained Emily as she bowed her head.
Aaron crouched down, occasionally glancing to the side sharply to scare Aerith. Aerith gasped at Aaron’s response.
The woman was heard sighing lightly, then stepped closer to Aaron while holding the man’s shoulders.
"Do you want to help her?" asked Aerith, making sure.
The man was silent for a moment. This was indeed a troublesome job for him. Emily had nothing to do with Aaron’s life. The two also met accidentally while in the Night Liberators District.
Since the encounter, the two have been seeing each other frequently. For some reason, Emily was attracted to Aaron not only because he was a Venerable Sage but also because he managed to deactivate the curse even though it was temporary.
That’s the reason why Emily was always attracted to Aaron, as if she had a brother that would always protect her.
Seeing Emily’s innocent eyes, Aaron had no other choice. In the end, he would help Emily after talking to Eloise. After all, Eloise needed to know what kind of condition her sister was dealing with.
"We’ll talk about this first with your sister. After we talk and agree, we will decide what the next plan is."
"Do you understand?" asked Aaron, gently stroking Emily’s hair.

Slowly, hearing Aaron’s comforting words made the 12-year-old girl’s heart feel relieved. Her crying stopped, and her heartbeat returned to normal; she was no longer worried. She knew that Aaron would be able to cure her current condition.
"Okay," Emily replied briefly to Aaron.
At half past eight in the morning, it was time for Lewis and Karen to leave. Together with Aaron and Aerith, they stepped out of the Shadow Ruler base to arrive at the Dimension Justice District, precisely at their HQ arena.
After about 20 minutes of walking, they finally arrived there. All the members were there to watch the second round of pre-qualification battles. Two new members -Zenith and Sasha- came along to support their leader.
"Look! They’re the Shadow Rulers."
"This time. I’ll bet a lot on them."
"You’re kidding. They’re a newly formed group; they won’t do much in this tournament."
Aaron heard their words, some started to recognize Lewis and Karen’s abilities. Yet, not a few were still skeptical, not to mention that this round would be much more difficult, the winners of the previous matches would fight again.
The man stopped his walk, noticing that several mages looked interested in the Shadow Ruler. Aaron certainly wouldn’t waste this.
"Seeing today’s match, they might be interested in the Shadow Ruler," Aaron replied.

Mona nodded. She and Sasha would be in charge of the member registration booth. Mona would tell the total number of members who registered after today’s pre-qualification match ended.
Aaron thanked her. They entered the stands and sat some distance away from the arena. Compared to yesterday, the number of people watching today was much larger -about 56.
The three leaders of the three rank-low groups came to watch live; they sat separately from each other, but one group leader sat close to Aaron.
The man saw Aaron’s figure and then rushed to him while talking. He was Rosso, the leader of the Mighty Shark Group.
The Might Shark Group had two members still competing in this round. One of the members had just happened to be badly defeated by Karen, a member of Shadow Ruler.
"You seem to be quite powerful in the Shadow Ruler group. Can we talk for a second?" asked Rosso, a bald-headed man with a shark tattoo on half his face.
Aaron gave an indifferent glance to the side. He ordered Lewis to talk to the man. Lewis was also the one who would determine the result of the conversation because Aaron knew Rosso’s arrival was solely for cooperation.
Through Lewis, Aaron could hear that Rosso would pay a large sum of money if Shadow Ruler was willing to give in to this match, especially if they met one of the Mighty Shark’s group members.
As the group leader, Lewis replied firmly that he would not cooperate with anyone. He said Shadow Ruler would come out on top in this group tournament pre-qualifier.
"You’re an arrogant ass, sir! Just watch as they turn on you. You won’t stand a chance!" Rosso threatened.
’They? Who exactly is he referring to?’
