Aaron gave the woman an example. He took a flower stalk and channeled purple dark magic energy into the plant. Slowly, he and the woman could see the flower stalk begin to wilt within seconds.

"It’s wilting," the woman said.

"My element is darkness. It’s making this flower wilt," Aaron replied.

"I’m just showing you how you can channel your magic energy into this flower. Just one flower stalk and you can do it," the woman said.

The woman nodded, fully understanding what Aaron was saying. She picked one flower, starting to focus her attention on the flower.

Slowly, the woman managed to channel her magic energy properly, her magic forming a magic ball full of energy that spun around the unblossomed flower stalk.

"It worked!" said the woman.

"You actually can, it’s just that your focus is split when you have to do it with multiple subjects," Aaron explained.

The woman smiled, then nodded and thanked Aaron. With this, she could start practicing her focus level to make the flowers in the garden bloom.

Aaron nodded. After helping her enough, he decided to take another step to leave the garden to reach Sky Sword’s rest house.

The door was open, no one was still awake in that place. Aaron guessed that Eloise and Emily had fallen asleep early.

He stepped up to the second floor and opened the door to his room, Eloise had told him that earlier. Aaron rested soundly, preparing for tomorrow’s practice with them.

The next day.

Sky Sword 50th’s practice field.

"Where are they?" asked Elder Kang.

Aaron was already awake and ready. Currently, he was standing beside Elder Kang, waiting for Eloise and Emily to arrive.

It was nine in the morning, the perfect time to train for tomorrow’s final match. However, there was no sign of Eloise and Emily arriving at this field soon.

"I’ll go over there to check on them," explained Elder Kang, Aaron nodded.

Elder Kang flew from practice field three towards the rest house, unlike Aaron who was still silent alone in the place.

From outside the base, Aaron saw a steady boom of magic that seemed to be flying closer. From the strength and characteristics of that boom, it was certain that it was Elsa —there was no magic fluctuation stronger than her.

True to what the woman had said earlier, Elsa had come to the headquarters solely to witness the training of Aaron and his team. However, she was surprised to see only Aaron.

"Where are the others?" asked Elsa.

"Elder Kang is calling Eloise and Emily. Maybe they’re preparing themselves," Aaron replied.

"I see, yeah? How are you today?" asked Elsa, pleasantly.

Aaron nodded with a smile, making it clear that he was fine. His magic power fully restored, he was ready for today’s training.

Elsa was happy about that. She still hadn’t forgotten the dinner they had together yesterday, something new for Elsa.

For Elsa, Aaron was the first person she had invited for a private dinner. Usually, she invited the Great Elders Eve, Lilith, and other elders to dinner, and even then not often.

Not only them, Elsa also often invited Alfredo and Killian to dinner together, as the three presidents of the three main groups. From that, Elsa realized that Killian liked her.

Before long, Elder Kang came to the field with Eloise and Emily. What held them back was Emily’s extensive preparation, as well as the symptoms of the curse returning.

"Sorry we’re late," Eloise explained.

Aaron’s eyes glowed purple, clearly seeing that the magic runes on Emily’s stomach seal were starting to fade, it was because the duration of the seal was almost up.

"Did something happen to you?" Aaron asked Emily.

"I feel my stomach warming up, my body is also convulsing," explained Emily.

From the girl’s finger, she was still holding the ring of darkness given from Aaron. The ring was effective in resisting the turmoil of Emily’s dark curse power.

Aaron squatted in front of Emily, leaving Elder Kang and Elsa confused. Eloise herself knew what Aaron was about to do.

"Did something happen to the seal?" asked Eloise.

"It’s possible, some of the seal runes faded away, eroded by the power of dark magic over the years."

"I need to strengthen the seal again," Aaron replied.

"Seals? What seal?" asked Elsa, feeling strange.

Aaron concentrated his purple darkness magic in his right hand. His five fingertips flashed purple flames, a sign that he was preparing the seal of his secondary talent.

Elsa saw what Aaron was doing. She stepped closer to the man to get a better look.

"Sorry, Emily. Can you lift your clothes for a moment?" Aaron asked, politely.

"Okay," Emily said.

She lifted the shirt she was wearing, revealing a slender white belly with a circle of purple light seals radiating over the surface of her skin. Elders Kang and Elsa were shocked, not knowing what had happened to Emily.

"What seal is that?" asked Elder Kang.

Aaron did not respond. He asked Emily to close her eyes and endure the turmoil of his magic for a while, repairing the seal would be painful for Emily, but the pain was not as painful as when Aaron implanted the seal at the beginning.

The man landed his palm on Emily’s stomach. Emily stiffened, her body trying to rebel while continuing to hold Eloise very tightly.

"It hurts. It’s so hot!" complained Emily.

"Hold on for a while," Aaron replied.

Aaron turned his palm around and began to repair the seal. Being left for several years without Aaron’s supervision made the seal fade.

About five minutes passed, Aaron withdrew his hand from Emily’s stomach. Emily fell unconscious because she couldn’t stand the pain. Fortunately, the seal was perfectly formed again, not half-faded like before.

"You can take her to rest. We can practice later in the afternoon," Aaron said, Eloise nodded.

Eloise flew off carrying Emily in her arms, Elder Kang and Elsa were still near Aaron. Aaron turned to his hand, looking at the traces of black magic still embedded in his hand.

’Tch! Black darkness magic,’ Aaron complained.

"What the hell is going on? How could you do a seal like that?" asked Elsa.

Aaron shook his hand to remove the traces of black darkness magic. He looked back, seeing Elsa and Elder Kang looking at him suspiciously.

"Since you guys are already involved in this, I’d better start telling you what happened to that girl," Aaron explained.

Elder Kang and Elsa began to listen intently. Eloise flew back to practice field three, meeting Aaron who was telling the story of Emily’s curse.

The two people in front of Aaron were shocked, they didn’t expect that a member of the Dark Legion would dare to instill a powerful curse of dark magic on Emily, something unimaginable before.

Aaron glanced to the side, looking at Eloise intently.

"I found a primordial-level monster upstairs, a giant sea serpent. However, I didn’t fight it back then due to the limitations of my power," Aaron replied.

"There are primordial monsters in the Dark Pillar Tower?" asked Elsa.

"There is? It lives in the vast ocean. Be careful if you arrive on a floor that has an ocean. That could be where the monster lives," Aaron replied.

"But with my current strength, I might be able to defeat it," Aaron explained.

Eloise nodded. She would leave Emily’s fate entirely to Aaron, as only he could save his sister’s life.

Elder Kang didn’t expect Lewis to have that much knowledge, especially since he seemed close to Elsa. That raised its own suspicions in his head.

"You know this. Are you really Lewis?" asked Elder Kang.

Among the people in that place, only Elder Kang didn’t know that Lewis was Aaron. Elsa tapped Kang lightly on the shoulder, whispering something to the man about Lewis’ true identity.

Elder Kang gasped. He stepped back in fear, as people often referred to Aaron as the Night Liberators’ number one wanted criminal.

"Have the Night Liberators found out yet?" asked Kang.

"They don’t know yet, I hope they don’t until the tournament is over," Elsa explained.

"I see, yeah? It’s pretty risky, I don’t know what you’re planning, but you’re putting everyone at risk," Kang explained.

Aaron smiled. To him, no one needed to be bothered with things like this. If they did find out and attacked Sky Sword, then it was Aaron’s duty to protect the group from destruction.

"Don’t worry. With my abilities, Killian will be useless."

"I’ll play it safe in this tournament, not showing what I’m capable of. Most importantly, we need to focus on our original goal," Aaron explained.

"Which is to win the team tournament."

Elder Kang and Elsa nodded. The man was still thinking about it, but if Elsa had agreed to it, then there would be nothing wrong in this.

"Alright. But I will still consider you Lewis during this tournament. After the tournament is over, you’re free to go wherever you like," Kang explained.

"Sure. I’ll go back to focusing on the monster raid."
