S-Rank Harem: I Became My Character with Extra Control Skill-Chapter 67: Debt - Defending the Elven Forest
Upon arriving at the elven village, perhaps the last thing they expected was the fact that it was being invaded by demons.
But if that fact alone was already strange, to Ryan it was even stranger that holy knights were also involved.
Were they defending the elves?
Or were they there for some other reason?
Whatever the reason, right now those holy knights were defeated, and those who were apparently alive lay in chains. Unable to move.
At least one thing was certain.
Those knights were not allied with the demons, nor were they being manipulated by them.
But Ryan had now decided to intervene.
Regardless of the motive, it was clear that he was now an enemy to both the holy knights and the demons.
So, the current objective in Ryan’s mind was very clear.
Defend the elves.
"Beatrice, use stealth. I’ll act as the bait," Ryan said as he moved forward and prepared his boomerang.
"Okay," she said without hesitating for a second, and she vanished without a trace.
’This isn’t the time to think about it, but damn, I feel like I have a ninja at my service.’
Ryan ignited the boomerang with his fire aura. And he held it behind his back.
"Hey, look at that guy," one of the demons commented upon noticing Ryan.
"What? A simple human?"
"But that boomerang... isn’t that from one of the Rock brothers?"
Ryan was at least 10 meters away and didn’t stop moving forward.
"What? Do you want to see this up close? Fine..."
After he finished speaking, he threw it with all his strength.
Four of the demons dodged it and lunged into the attack.
The attack the demons had dodged earlier wasn’t aimed at them, but at the chains of the prisoners who were being whipped.
One of the soldiers and the elder were freed, but they were still too badly injured to fight.
"Elder! That’s Ryan!"
"What? Young Ryan is here?..."
The rest of the demons didn’t notice because they were focusing their attention on Ryan.
The four demons who had lunged into the attack were already in front of him.
First, one attacked; Ryan dodged and threw a punch from below, piercing the demon’s chest and ripping out its heart.
"Wow, only four of you are really coming? Are you that naive?"
The three demons stopped a few meters away.
Hesitating.
The lifeless body of the demon whose heart had just been removed fell to the ground.
"What are you standing there for? Everyone, come on! This guy is dangerous!" the demon shouted.

’It’s been a while since I gained any experience.’
The rest of the demons surrounded Ryan.
Beatrice, who was in stealth mode, advanced to where the chained elves were and began to free the rest.
She was covered up, so they couldn’t yet see that she was actually a demon.
Beatrice took the boomerang and threw it hard, as if the attack were aimed at the demons in front of Ryan.
But he ran right through the middle of them, caught the boomerang before it reached them, set it ablaze with fire, and attacked.
Two heads flew off.
The third demon was split in half.

"There’s another human over there. Separate! Attack the one with the boomerang, and the rest of you go after that other one."
The prisoners were already freed and positioned behind Beatrice.
"Are you a friend of Ryan’s?"
"Yes, you could say that."
"I’m very grateful that you’re helping us. He’s always saving us; it’s becoming embarrassing."
"Don’t worry. Let him handle it."
Five demon warriors, armed with swords, axes, and spears, headed toward Beatrice.
Assisted by three other demons.
She walked forward, putting a few meters between herself and the elves.
The three demons who stayed back began the attacks.
"Fireball!" She dodged.
Once, twice, three times, leaping from place to place as she forced them to focus their attacks on her.
The demons with weapons had already reached her.
One of them attacked with a spear; she dodged.
And with a sudden burst, she ripped his arm off with the axe she had stolen earlier.
"Physical Enhancement"
"Magical Enhancement"
"Almighty"
Ryan muttered.
Beatrice began to fight with her attributes increased. She finished off the demon whose arm she had just torn off.
Then she slit the next one’s throat.
Now, six Principality demons still stood before her.
"Damn her, she’s too fast at running away..."
The attacks continued; she dodged, but a demon in stealth arrived from behind. She could barely sense its steps, and the attack just grazed her head, knocking off the cap that served to cover her horns.
She retreated, performing a backflip.
"Damn, having this weapon is like fighting with shovels or pickaxes."
She turned to look at Ryan.
He had already finished off at least half of the demons attacking him.
"I’m not as strong as he is... but I’ll do my best."
She stood up.
"What is a demon doing fighting alongside a human? Have you lost your mind?" one of the Principalities commented.
"What? She’s a demon?" some of the elves muttered.
"Damn, they noticed," Ryan murmured.
"I’d better hurry up."
Ryan took a deep breath.
He split his boomerang in half and began to slash with power.
"That bastard is too strong! Leave that demon alone, focus on the first one!"
The demons turned.
"Too late," Beatrice commented.
The heads of two of the demons went flying.
"Getting distracted in combat is... well, you should know by now."
She continued her attack; the demon in front of her couldn’t do anything else.
And he fell defeated.
"Fireball!"
She jumped and threw the axe from the air.
The Principality dodged it.
But she got behind him using stealth and snapped his neck.
’She’s very good at fighting. Now I understand why she got angry when she thought I was underestimating her.’
Ryan was gaining a lot of experience, but he hadn’t leveled up yet; the requirement had increased upon reaching A-rank.
It would definitely be harder now.
Now the demons grouped together.
Ryan and Beatrice stood together before them.
"You did great. You’re stronger than I imagined."
"Of course. I won’t let myself be defeated so easily..."
One of the demons stepped forward and slammed his massive axe into the ground.
"Why are a human and a demon fighting together? Who the hell are you, and what are you doing here?"
"How curious. I was about to ask the same thing," Ryan said, holding the head of the demon who had spoken.
The demons scattered, stunned by Ryan’s speed.
"What! When did he get here!"
