Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer-Chapter 309 - 246: Join the church
"If you’re the Saintess, prove it by healing an injured person," Head Priest Deille got straight to the point, ignoring the King’s pleasantries. His hood was facing down towards Aurianna.
"Okay, you over there please come," Aurianna pointed.
"Yes Princess you called," the maid responded, quickly scurrying to Aurianna.
Aurianna then materialized a gun, pulling the trigger instantly. The hand of the maid, which had been so comfortable attached to her arm, was no more. It flew across the room, blood splattering on the ground.
All stared in shock and while Aurianna couldn’t see the Head Priest’s face, she assumed he shared the same gazes as everyone else.
The maid screamed in pain but Aurianna didn’t flinch, she just raised her hand and a golden light surrounded the maid. Her hand was good as new in less than a second.
"Does this prove that I’m the Saintess?" Aurianna asked with a pure smile.
"I will give you this opportunity child," his voice boomed as he looked at her.
"Come with me if you want to be a true Saintess, staying here would only hinder your progress." Deille’s voice carried throughout the empty room as he spoke.
Once the Head Priest said those words King Girsal was furious but he immediately calmed down.
"She would definitely refuse, after all these years of taking care of her she wouldn’t dare abandon her family."

"High god, some nobody god bullied me when I went to give Aurianna the Saintess title," Paige cried as she held the High god’s space like hands.
"Oh who was that?" The High god asked, despite being aware of who it was.
"I couldn’t tell but that person had a similar aura to you," Paige whined.
The High God simply grinned in response, "Oh, the Jewel."
"Jewel?" Paige tilted her head in confusion.
"Nothing you should worry about, thank you for not hurting them," the High god said as it patted Paige on her head, healing the bubbling injury on her face.
"Humph they’re lucky that you asked me not to hurt them, if not she’d have been dead meat by now," Paige huffed.
"Paige is such a good girl," The High god praised, stroking her hair gently.
"So Aurianna, would you like to go with the church?" Deille asked.
As he looked at her he hoped that she would make her own decision. In this situation, he couldn’t blame her if she chose to stay with her family, especially if that was all she’d ever known. However, he truly believed she’d be better off training with the church, learning their principles and beliefs.
"Absolutely," Aurianna smiled.
King Girsal looked at Aurianna in shock and so did the other nobles.
"What do you mean Aurianna? It must have been a slip of the tongue," King Girsal quickly tried to cover up the fact that she said yes.
Aurianna shook her head with a resolved expression, "No, it’s not. I just don’t want to stay here. I don’t mind going with the church."
Silence filled the room suddenly after Aurianan gave her answer. However, that silence was soon overtaken by the sound of laughter.
In confusion Aurianna looked toward the source. A bit behind Deille, a younger brown skinned boy, looking to be in his teens clad in church robes stepped forward. The first feature that stuck out to Aurianna was his flaky light brown hair and a pair of blue eyes. They were so clear looking, almost as pure as the sea. She found them mesmerizing to gaze at, before she could get too carried away however she regained her senses.
He was smiling amusedly at her and Aurianna noticed that despite being covered by robes, his shirt underneath didn’t hide his toned body. It was clear that he was dedicated to whatever training he chose to do.
"I like this kid, let’s be friends. I’m Deprixon," he reached out his hand to her with a smirk on his face.
Aurianna had a slight frown as she looked at his outstretched hand. She remembered him very well.
In her past life, he merely took a quick glance at her, calling her boring before leaving and that’s the last she ever saw of him. The only thing she knew about him besides his blunt and rude nature previously, was him being one of the 20 apostles of Paige that specialize in the eradication of heretics.
Instead of returning the handshake like her first instinct was, she gave a bowing gesture instead, "Nice to meet you, I’m Aurianna."
Derek, while not offended by her ignoring his gesture, had a intrigued look. He simply lowered his hand, nodding in acknowledgement.
"As you’ve made your decision let’s go then," Deille said as he walked away. Aurianna soon started to follow from behind.
"Aurianna, wait, do you truly want to go with the church?" King Girsal asked, with a hint of fear in his voice.
"Yes I do," Aurianna said, keeping the same steady pace as she continued walking behind Deille. Her back to her sad excuse for a father.
"You would suffer hardship and wouldn’t be able to enjoy luxuries like you can by being in this grand palace," King Girsal said, waving his hands around in a showing motion. He was trying his best to dissuade her choice, making a vain attempt at manipulation.
’What’s more, you would be out of my grasp!!’ King Girsal thought as he clenched his fist. Sweat was starting to trickle down his face.
Aurianna simply smirked, ’He’s so pathetic. Even until this last moment where I’ll be free from his schemes and control, he tries to keep me. Just like a bird in a cage.’
"I’m not afraid of hardship. I believe that It’s needed if I am to be a proper Saintess. And I suffered a lot in that Ruin before becoming strong. So I’m used to it. And Hardship make a strong person..." She stopped her walk, turning back to glare at him, "Right, Father?"
King Girsal gritted his teeth in frustration.
Both he and Aurianna knew the true reason he wanted her to stay. So he could take her blood and regain his youth.
However, King Girsal had always tried speaking as if he was concerned about her saintess duties, so Aurianna using that as an argument for her leave served as the final nail in the coffin. With a defeated sigh, he lowered his head, and not one more word left his lips after that. Even his fists which had been balled in anger were open now as he gazed at the ground.
