Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer-Chapter 315 - 252: Successful
All over the kingdom, similar events like this were happening, members of the church were scouting people who were desperate to survive and not the type that expects someone to save them. There would always be people who expect someone to save them, but those who were desperate to live would do anything to get stronger and even survive.
By daybreak, the churchyard was full of new people. What’s more, the church was closed so no one knew what was happening inside. Aurianna smiled satisfied about how they had completed their first mission.
"Do you all know why you have been brought here?" Aurianna asked the humongous group.
"Yes!!" they responded in unison.
"Good, you want to survive! You don’t want to be weak and looked down upon. You want money, a place to sleep, and food to eat. Don’t worry all that will be provided at a price. You will join our church. So if you don’t agree, walk out!" Aurianna said with cold eyes, but no one walked out. Everyone looked at her with expectant gazes filled with determination for whatever was in store. They all refused to stay how they were, weak and looked down upon.
She smiled as she raised her gun and shot it, sparks of white light flew into their eyes taking on the same change as the rest of the other church members.
[ You have received 5636 thousand new followers ]
"The church is moving so everyone please get ready!"
"Aurianna where to exactly?" Jugi asked in confusion.
"The forbidden forest," Aurianna answered.
"Wait, what?!" a person muttered in shock. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"That place is dangerous! And filled with the outcast beings of the gods!"
"Don’t worry," Aurianna said reassuringly, "There’s a surprise waiting for all of us there."
[ Are you sure you want to spend 600 billion quest points on the church Eva designed? You know you could have gotten a lot of skills and good weapons. ]
Aurianna looked at the screen as she felt like her life had been sucked away. During these 6 years, she managed to acquire all these points however she was going to lose it all just for one building.
"Ah, my heart. My precious points," Aurianna cried out.
"Aurianna, remember it’s an investment," Eva assured.
"Curse you Eva," Aurianna muttered.
With a defeated sigh and her face in her palm she spoke, "System, I’ll buy it."
[ You have purchased the building named Church of the White Gemaris goddess. ]
Before them opened a huge portal and on it was an image of a beautiful hall. The eyes of all lit up with excitement as they began to walk toward it.
"You’re more interesting than I thought," Deprixon laughed as he patted Aurianna’s head.
Aurianna froze as she looked up at him. The last time she’d seen him, he was in chains.
Aurianna thought to herself, ’He’s part of this?! Wait didn’t he leave to the main church in my past life. Now he’s here. While that would normally concern me he’s of no threat.’
She noticed the marking in his eye. He, like all the other members of her church, would be completely loyal to her. Even if they weren’t, any action against her would result in instant death. With this thought in mine Hehehe no worries he’s part of my church so he can’t betray me,’ Aurianna
"Don’t worry too much I’m willing to join the White Gemaris goddess church," Deprixon smiled.
"Fair enough," She responded.
’I know it’s because of my skill... But hmm. I’m kind of curious...’
She tilted her head, "Why though?"
"Personal reasons," Deprixon answered brashly. He didn’t want to explain about the vision he saw with him being bound in chains.
Aurianna threw up her shoulders in an accepting manner, "Okay then, Avriel could you do me a small favor? Please kidnap my two personal maids Yui and Catherine for me. I’ve taken a liking to those girls. And I promised You I won’t leave her behind this time."
"Whatever you totes say," Avriel nodded before quickly vanishing from beside her.
"Everyone, hurry up. I’m sure the nobles will come to inquire about what is happening very soon," Priest Hotron ordered. They all quickly followed Aurianna, who led them towards the escape route- the portal.
As the last person left, the portal closed, vanishing without a trace. All of the church members were no longer in the Kingdom of Sandeph.
On the other side, once someone ventured inside the church, their gazes were filled with confusion. Their mouths wide open with shock.
No one had a clue how or why those who took residence in the church disappeared. It caused panic and confusion throughout the kingdom. It especially affected King Girsal, due to the fact he couldn’t monitor her any longer. His spies had been eliminated as well as not even being able to visit in person if he so wished. He completely and utterly lost to Aurianna and her will. There was nothing he could do.
And with that, Aurianna’s plan was successful.
___________
Past the portal, everyone was greeted by a massive hall.
The floor appeared to be made of marble, it was so spotless that many could stare at their own reflections. There were multiple stone pillars holding up the ceiling as well, which had gold encased over it. Huge crystal statues of Aurianna in adult form adorned the spaces between multiple massive pillars. Due to the material the statues shone beautifully.
The sun peeked through the open window frames. There was no blockage, allowing the cool air to flow inside. In the middle of whatever room or hall they were in, wide tables were laid out. Many delicious delicacies being placed on them.
The hall was looked at with the brightest eyes from all. Especially the slaves, who looked in wonder and awe. They were especially eying the many tables with food on them.
The people, but mainly the slaves, all turned to Aurianna, practically begging her with their eyes if they could go and eat. Aurianna without saying a word just nodded, letting them dash toward the tables. Despite most if not all of those in the hall going towards the tables to eat, many of the commoners and some church members frowned at the sight of the slaves. Holding expressions of disgust at having to eat at the same table as them.
Noticing this Aurianna spoke up, "Anyone who should act in discriminatory ways would receive punishment. From now on the slaves are our equals. I won’t hear a single complaint!"
