Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer-Chapter 334 - 271: Kielbasa
"Such rudeness Pope Shiro," Pope Frowland admonished.
Shiro swiped her hand dismissively, "Yeah yeah Frowland. Our next target is the Sandeph HighLand. Unfortunately, we may loose control of them too soon, we still have many other plans to enact, right Boss?"
Kielbasa nodded, "Indeed. I planned to use the Saintess to keep them in control, but now that she has disappeared they would stray from the righteous path."
"Ugh, that King Girsal is so annoying. In return for their trained mages and magic enhanced weapons, we have to give him every Saintess from our church," Shiro’s cheeks puffed in frustration.
"Well, you do know that eating the flesh and drinking the blood of a Saintess can extend one’s life. But I wonder why mother chose that child Aurianna to be the Saintess. I met her and she’s the complete opposite of all the former Saintesses," Kielbasa had a look of curiosity on his face.
"I don’t know but I heard she is a beauty, she also had the nerve to curse at Paige." Frowland shivered at the word curse at Paige. The concept alone made him uneasy, to think someone actually did such a thing was shocking to him.
Shiro nodded, "Very foolish. Sacred, didn’t you say Paige hated Aurianna for her beauty anyway though?"
"That I did. Mother is extremely jealous of the beauty in others," Kielbasa sighed as he remembered his mother’s words some months ago.
"My son please kill that disgusting child Aurianna for me and everyone who was in the church in Sandeph. They have abandoned their faith and have become defectors. Don’t let them have an easy death. Do torture them till they beg for the mercy of I- the goddess Paige!" Paige was smiling warmly, as she was embracing Kielbasa, stroking his hair gently.
"Yes mother," he answered with a cold smile. At his acceptance of her command, and one last stroke of his hair, she disappeared.
"I really don’t want to do this," Kielbasa sighed.
"Pope Zusin, have you brought the images of everyone who was involved with the church branch in Sandeph?"
Zusin, a well-built young man with curly light blue hair and a pair of cool azure eyes sheltered behind his glasses, nodded, "Yes I have, as you commanded me to, Sacred."
He then tapped on a small ball which then displayed the image of everyone who had worked for the church of Sandeph in a flurry.
After all the images had gone by, they repeated once more. At this point, Kielbasa’s pink eyes shone brightly.
He stretched his right arm towards the images, "Let all those who betrayed mother suffer a painful death."
______________
Inside Aurianna’s church, some church members were working but all of a sudden they felt extreme pain in their bodies.
Most coughed up some blood as they had never experienced such a situation like this before causing the others who weren’t affected to panic.
Aurianna had been walking casually, but upon seeing the church members she was instantly alarmed.
The attack or whatever was happening appeared to be invisible, but before she could take a step forward, to try and help them, her head was twisted.
Her body felt like it was being torn apart, bringing her immense pain.
"Arghhhh!!!" Aurianna screamed, coughing up blood as her sight was starting to fade.
The sounds of other church members screaming in panic were heard around her.
"Aurianna!!" Eva called out as she revealed herself, having a panicked look on her face.
A dark light enveloped Eva’s hand as she touched Aurianna. The dark light then started to coat her body, before it could fully cover her however it disappeared.
"What! My magic was dispelled!?" Eva gasped in shock as she tried again and again but the result was always the same.
"I can’t die yet, what the hell is going on?!" Aurianna thought as the sliver of her consciousness was left.
"System, are you there?" Eva called out.
[ I am here ]
"What’s happening to Aurianna!?" Eva shouted to it, sweat on her face.
[ Everyone who was once part of Paige’s church is being attacked by a special death magic. What’s more, all those who died are unable to revive immediately. If these members aren’t revived after a day they would truly die. ]
"But... that’s impossible.... As long as the church building is intact, they revive. The longest time one can be dead for and be revived is a month," Aurianna thought, feeling shocked and seeing Eva turning her head to her alarmed showed that she could still hear Aurianna.
[ Unfortunately the one who casted the spell has a Higher Class than a Saintess or a Grand Human. ]
"Shit an Arcane human. Aurianna give me a sec," Eva held her forehead, clearly thinking heavily on how to fix the situation.
She perked up, "Time freeze." She said in a hurry.
Everyone who was out of the church were immediately teleported, and the entire church was frozen in time. No one moved and just stood there like statues.
"High Class healing," Eva spoke as a Golden light covered the entire church; however, the expected result didn’t happen. She then felt a sudden pain in her arm, glancing down to find her arm had shattered to pieces.
"Is the caster a much higher level than me?" Eva wondered in shock.
[ Well we are in a Main world, so it won’t be a shock to see another being with the same skills. ] 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"Primordial Staff, High Class healing!! Eva yelled as a long blue staff appeared in her hand before it glowed with a bright blue light which covered everyone who was broken into pieces. Their once broken bodies were placed together and time was returned back to normal.
Everyone who was broken began to wake up except for Aurianna who still remained motionlessly asleep. If not for her slow breathing one might have thought she was dead.
"What should we do goddess?!" Dielle asked as he looked at Eva who was currently frowning, causing him to feel that something worse had happened to Aurianna then what they’d all just experienced.
"Let me take her to her room for the meantime," Eva stated as she carried little Aurianna in her arms before teleporting to Aurianna’s room.
"Aurianna, why won’t you wake up!?" Eva said. Her face showed an emotion she hadn’t felt in a long time, genuine concern, as she had no clue what happened. All she could do was monitor her condition, what happened next was up to Aurianna. If she would be able to wake up herself, to have the will and power. Eva wanted to believe, no- she had to.
