"No way! Take it easy on them!" Aurianna yelled glaring at Carol.
"Tch, fine," Carol muttered, clicking her tongue, her sharp gaze softening just a fraction. She flicked her dark hair over her shoulder.
"I guess you girls would be heading to train with Vivian," Neil said, his tone calm.
"Of course!" Leila chirped.
"Alright then," Neil replied, giving a nod.
"Excuse me, you’re Leila, right?" Batholem asked, striding up to her with a curious glint in his gray eyes. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"Yes, Batholem?" Leila responded, tilting her head with a playful smile.
"How did you know my name?" Batholem asked, his brow furrowing in surprise, his silver hair catching the light as he tilted his head.
Leila chuckled, her laughter light like wind chimes. "Well, for one, I can see your stats—everyone’s, actually. And two, I know about you from Aurianna’s memories." She tapped her temple with a mischievous grin.
"Wait, how?" Batholem’s confusion deepened, his eyes narrowing as he tried to piece it together.
"That’s a secret," Leila teased, placing a finger to her lips and giggling softly, her light blue eyes dancing with amusement.
Batholem bowed, taking her hand and pressing a gentle kiss to it. "Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you," he said, his voice formal but warm.
"What a good boy you are," Leila said, her tone teasing as she reached out with her other hand to ruffle his silver hair.
’She’s treating me like a kid,’ Batholem thought, pouting slightly, though he couldn’t hide the faint flush creeping up his cheeks.
’Hmm, I’m surprised,’ Leila said, her gaze lingering on him with a hint of curiosity, her head tilted as if studying a puzzle.
"Why’s that?" Batholem asked, straightening up, his curiosity piqued.
"I guess you’re already smitten by my sister, so my charm didn’t work on you," Leila said with a playful giggle, causing Batholem’s face to turn a deep shade of red.
"Aurianna’s big sister!" Elena squealed, rushing to Leila’s side, her red Afro hair bouncing wildly as she skidded to a stop.
"Yes, Elena?" Leila asked, turning to her with a warm smile.
"Marry me!" Elena declared, her expression deadly serious, her hands clasped together as if pleading.
Leila shook her head, laughing softly. "No way."
"Why not?" Elena asked, her voice cracking as tears welled up in her wide eyes.
"It’s just my looks that’re enticing you, right?" Leila asked, raising an eyebrow, her tone gentle but teasing.
"Absolutely!" Elena said with a shameless thumbs-up, her grin wide.
"So shameless. You’re like a cute fox!" Leila said, giggling as she patted Elena’s puffy red hair.
"What about my sister?" Leila asked, glancing at Aurianna, who was watching the exchange with a scowl. Elena’s eyes darted nervously to Aurianna before snapping back to Leila.
"No way! She’s scary, mean, and always glaring. Unlike you, who looks so graceful!" Elena said, shaking her head vigorously.
"What did you say?!" Aurianna roared. "And get away from my sister!" She took a step forward, her fists clenched, only for Kisho to grab her arm and pull her back.
"Calm down, Aurianna!" Kisho said, his voice firm but laced with amusement. "She’s just umm, how do I say it? Maybe trying to cope after what happened."
"Hmm, Aurianna and Leila, dost thou remember thy promise?" Elizabeth asked.
"Oh, yes, taking your children out of here? Of course I remember," Aurianna said.
"That’s good," Elizabeth said with a nod.
"I’ll take the girl!" Leila declared, causing Aurianna to whip her head around in shock.
"What? Why?!" Aurianna demanded, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"We already agreed," Leila huffed, crossing her arms and sticking out her tongue playfully.
"Humph, fine!" Aurianna pouted, crossing her arms in return. "I guess I’ll take the guy."
"So, where are they, Elizabeth?" Leila asked, turning to her with an expectant smile.
"Kliezorn," Elizabeth called, her voice steady. He opened his mouth wide, revealing a swirling, portal-like void within. Two towering figures stepped out, both standing at an imposing seven feet tall. Kliezorn then closed his mouth and reverted to his humanoid monster form.
"They came out of his mouth," Zeche muttered nervously, his deep blue eyes glowing faintly as he watched from the sidelines. His teenage-like appearance, with futuristic robotic parts and semi-long dark blue hair tied in a ponytail, marked him clearly as a mecha. He’d been quiet so far, observing the group cautiously, fully aware of the dangerous situation him and the others were in.
"My body can also serve as a teleportation gate," Kliezorn explained.
"Pleasure to meet you, I’m Pactoria," the woman said, her voice smooth and confident. She was a beautiful vampire-spider hybrid, with four eyes on her face, long green hair, and grey skin. Her mesmerizing red eyes glinted in the light, and she had four arms. Her lower body, half-spider, was covered by elegant clothing that accentuated her beauty.
"I’m Huston," the man said gruffly, his tone laced with annoyance. He had pale grey skin, blood-red eyes, and matching red hair. His muscular build and rough demeanor contrasted with his surprisingly handsome features. Spider legs protruded from his back, and additional eyes adorned his chest and face, giving him an intimidating look.
"Those are cool names!" Leila said, clapping her hands together with enthusiasm.
"He’s quite tall," Aurianna remarked, eyeing Huston.
"This human is so puny. Father, is she really going to be my new master?" Huston asked, his voice dripping with disdain as he glanced at Aurianna.
"Who the hell are you calling puny?!" Aurianna snapped, her temper flaring as she took a step toward him, her eyes blazing.
"Please forgive my brother, Master. He has quite a loud mouth," Pactoria said calmly, she placed a hand on Huston’s arm to restrain him.
"Don’t worry," Leila said with a reassuring smile.
"Hmm, I guess I need to make a contract then," Aurianna said.
"Master, why can’t he just bear your mark? You don’t need a contract!" Hadina said, her voice tinged with worry as she stared at Aurianna.
"That’s true, but I want to make a contract so I can summon him anywhere," Aurianna explained, her tone calm but firm.
"Master..." Hadina said, her voice trembling as tears welled up in her eyes.
