Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 36: "I will kick you out."
Luo Muchen knew he should take Qie Xieling seriously but what he was saying was really funny.
"What if I breathe?" he asked and Qie Xieling who was hot on finding whatever reason to kick Luo Muchen out of their secret little group answered,
"I will kick you out."
Qie Xieling, "..."
It was at that time the scan was completed and the tiny bear popped up on the screen confirming their newfound friendship.
Luo Muchen didn’t care about the group or playing games just as long as he had Qie Xieling’s phone number and they could play games together that’s all that mattered.
He wanted to go through his moments immediately but he restrained himself. To pass the time he took out his tablet to study but even then he was still distracted. He kept glancing at the bear happily bouncing on the screen asking to check out his new friend’s adventures.
Lucky for him his resilience was outstanding because he didn’t check his cell phone for the rest of the bus ride. He thought maybe Qie Xieling would chat with him a little when they disembark but as soon as they stepped out Qie Xieling ran towards his father’s car and couldn’t wait to tell his dad all about the trip.
Unfortunately for him, his dad wasn’t there. It was only his father and the look on Qie Xieling’s face was so transparent that Qie Ranzhe knew he had been despised.
"You kid. You can’t even pretend that you are happy to see me?" said Qie Ranzhe and Qie Xieling hug his father with a smile so bright that one couldn’t find no fault.
"I am happy to see you. I just thought you would come with Dad," he said while Qie Ranzhe took away his bags to put in the boot of the car.
As he closed the door teacher Wong suddenly appeared out of nowhere and Qie Xieling pursed his lips knowing he was going to be in trouble.
"Lin Lin, wait for me in the car," said Qie Ranzhe and Qie Xieling gladly ran away. He wouldn’t want to be present while the teacher was snitching on him.
He closed the car door and suddenly realised that he was still holding the class president’s flask in his hand. After hesitating a little bit he pulled up his cell phone and looked at that new friend right at the top of his contact list.
He pressed on Luo Muchen’s contact and when he saw the boring standard username given to him by the system, Qie Xieling wasn’t surprised at all.
What he didn’t know though was the fact that Luo Muchen only got this account because he wanted to chat with him. This meant that account was brand new and he created it while on the camping trip. Qie Xieling was completely oblivious to this. He took a picture of the flask and sent it to Luo Muchen.
LinLin: I will bring it to you after the holiday.
LinLin: Thank you for the milk tea.
After sending this the car door suddenly opened and his father sat in the driving seat. Qie Ranzhe sighed before looking at his son. When he saw that his lip was slightly swollen and bruised he raised his face and asked, "What happened?"
Qie Xieling who had already forgotten about his lip was a little confused at first. It was only after his father asked, "Did you get into a fight again?" did Qie Xieling recall the unfortunate lip-bumping incident. The way his father seemed to dislike Luo Muchen, Qie Xieling would rather not mention it.
"We went exploring a cave at night and I got scared. I hurt myself when I fell," he said and Qie Ranzhe couldn’t believe his son who was afraid of the dark like vampires are afraid of the sun actually went exploring at night. He wasn’t sure whether to be proud or worried. "How was it? You need therapy or something?" he asked straightforwardly.
Qie Xieling, "..."
He wanted to curse saying, "You are the one who needs therapy. Your entire family needs therapy," but when he recalled he was Qie Ranzhe’s son he couldn’t say it anymore.
"Some brat took a video of it and posted it on the school forum," he said and Qie Ranzhe smacked him upside his head while saying,
"I can say it but you can’t... well, at least not in front of me." Qie Xieling rubbed the back of his head with a slight smile.
"Do you need help dealing with it?" he asked and Qie Xieling answered calmly,
"No, it’s been dealt with."
Qie Ranzhe nodded his head before saying, "Your teacher said you are swearing again?"
Qie Xieling couldn’t even come up with one word to defend himself. He was definitely guilty of the crime. While his son was waiting for the endless scolding Qie Ranzhe took out a wade of cash and counted the bills.
He took out a third of it and was about to give it to Qie Xieling but he started counting again before giving up and handing him all of it.
Qie Xieling was confused. He stared at the money with wide eyes when Qie Ranzhe said, "It’s for the swear jar. We all know you won’t stop swearing so you will need a lot of money."
Qie Xieling, "..."
Wow, at least he could have told him that he believed in him. The man just gave up from the start. He was about to complain about it when his cell phone made a dinging sound.
Qie Xieling unknowingly pulled out his cell phone and just before he opened the message he realised it was Luo Muchen. He glanced at his father and pursed his lips while putting the cell phone back in his pocket.
Qie Ranzhe who had just started the car saw this and he squinted his eyes before asking, "What are you hiding?"
Qie Xieling, "..."
"Nothing," answered Qie Xieling trying to look as less suspicious as possible. Qie Ranzhe knew something was up but he also knew if anyone could find out what this little minion was hiding, it would be his husband.
Thinking that Wen Qinxi would deal with it, he let it go. Meanwhile, Luo Muchen exited the elevator at his mother’s office and from the minute he stepped out a stiletto came flying through the office doors.
Luo Muchen, "..."
He couldn’t help but wonder which boyfriend she had broken up with this time.
