School Hunk or Childhood Sweetheart?-Chapter 2 - Good Brother, Wonderful Brother
Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Good Brother, Wonderful Brother
"Huh—"
Shen Weiyi suddenly opened his eyes, startled awake.
It was already light outside, the sun filling the bed. He glanced at the cellphone on his bedside.
7:40 a.m.
The screen was still on the WeChat chat interface from last night, with a large red exclamation point in front of the last message he sent, and a reminder in small white letters below:
[JZY has enabled friend verification. You are not his/her friend. Please send a friend verification request first. After the other party verifies, you will be able to chat.]
Shen Weiyi stared at the cellphone screen for a while, just about to toss the phone aside when the screen suddenly lit up.
...
In Z City's October, the sun was still scorchingly hot.
In a coffee shop near University City, two beautiful girls sat facing each other.
"Really broke up?" Shen Tan looked at the girl opposite her with a look of disbelief.
"Yeah!" Shen Weiyi poured three packets of sugar into her coffee cup in one breath and then stopped what she was doing.
Shen Tan watched with a cringe and covered her cheeks, "What was it this time?"

Shen Weiyi curled her lip and then raised her head, answering seriously, "Just didn't want to indulge him anymore!"
Shen Tan raised an eyebrow, both surprised and not, took a sip from her evenly stirred coffee, and spoke slowly, "I told you before, that little guy is unreliable. Not enough whiskers to scratch and already trying to charm the girls. You shouldn't have agreed to him in the first place."
Shen Weiyi lifted her eyes and glanced at her cousin cum BFF, reminding her with a wistful tone, "That's not what you said before."
Shen Weiyi had a childhood friend; a handsome guy, tall with long legs, the very image of a male protagonist in a youth novel. Because he was a few months younger than Shen Weiyi, Shen Tan often teased them after they got together.
Shen Tan's exact words were, "Younger men are great, wonderful in fact, you get to be called 'sister' during the day and at night... sister..."
Cough...
How quickly she had changed her tune!
Shen Tan raised an eyebrow and glanced at her breezily, "I was comforting you. Did you really want to hear me urge you two to get back together?"
"Over my dead body!" Miss Shen suddenly flashed an aggressive look, gritting her teeth.
What's it like having a boyfriend who likes to call you "sister" and loves to be difficult?
Shen Weiyi: Feigning sweetness to the extreme, but also a real pain when it comes down to it.
If she didn't reach out to him first in games, he'd get mad; if she took too long to reply to his messages, he'd get mad; if she didn't spend weekends with him, he'd get mad... In short, if things didn't go his way, he'd throw a tantrum.
This time was even more outrageous because she couldn't watch his basketball game yesterday, and that guy had the nerve to block her.
Never seen a boyfriend who's more high-maintenance than his girlfriend.
Shen Weiyi couldn't help but admire her own patience!
Thinking of the watch she had seen on her friend's social media feed earlier, Shen Weiyi ground her molars and flames sparked in her eyes. She picked up the coffee at hand and gulped it down as if venting her anger.
Cough cough, that's way too sweet!
Shen Tan scrutinized her little cousin sitting opposite her, noticing her palm-sized face, almost transparent white skin, a delicate and turned-up nose, thick and long eyelashes, and those big watery eyes, though they were somewhat irritable at the moment.
Well, she thought, such a beautiful girl, losing her is truly his loss.
Shen Tan put down her coffee cup and comforted her, "Come on, it's just a breakup. Who hasn't gone through a few failed relationships growing up? Let's go, I'll take you to a nice place.
Near University City, there are lots of motels, and lots of bars, too.
After they sat down, Shen Tan summoned the waiter, "One Margarita, one juice, please!"
The girl across from her lifted her eyes, obviously unhappy, "You bring me to a bar, just to give me juice?"
Shen Tan raised an eyebrow slightly, "Minors are not allowed to drink. I'm not here to get you drunk; I brought you to check out the guys."
"It's only a few months," the girl muttered.
"That's still underage," Shen Tan reminded her without mincing words.
The girl puffed up her cheeks and mumbled, closing her mouth.
The bar, located near University City, was often staffed by college students working part-time.
While talking, Shen Tan tipped her chin up, gesturing towards the bar, "What about that one over there? Looks like his legs are a meter eighty long, at least 98 in terms of looks, slim but I bet he's got muscles."
