Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 884: My Past Is Him, and My Future Will Only Be Him
Watt shot him a cool glance, his voice icy as he reminded him, "Just focus on driving!"
"What did I say wrong?" Alexander rolled his eyes and sped up the car.
...
Since Summer Sutton’s disappearance, she hadn’t shown up in front of Watt for several days, nor did she tell him where she had gone.
Abroad, attending classes for two consecutive weeks, during this time, she would report to school every day during the day, and at night, she would handle some company matters via computer. Summer Sutton’s life did not pause for a single day.
In the third week, the school unexpectedly received a guest, Ryan Walyon.
Summer Sutton bumped into him on campus and saw him standing under the camphor tree not far away, waiting for her. Summer was taken aback.
Since the incident with Adrian Walyon, after she left the Walyon Family, Summer Sutton had only seen Ryan Walyon once.
Today, his sudden visit truly caught Summer off guard.
She stared at him blankly for a moment, then holding her book, she slowly walked towards him.
"Jimmy!" she greeted him first as she reached his side.
Ryan Walyon’s gaze fell on her, sizing her up for a long moment, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, "Long time no see!"
"What brings you here?" Summer Sutton led him towards the school café, asking as they walked.
She thought he had come because of company matters, and seeing her was just incidental.
Unexpectedly, Ryan Walyon said, "I just realized I hadn’t seen you in a long time, so I came to check on you."
Summer was stunned and slowed her pace a bit.
Ryan Walyon entered the café first, found a seat, and ordered two coffees and desserts. Once again, his gaze fell on her face.
He looked at her closely, his eyes swept over her face repeatedly, his gaze as focused as if long-lost lovers met again.
This demeanor of his startled Summer once more, making her suddenly feel uneasy.
"How have you been lately?" Ryan Walyon stirred the coffee he received from the waiter, starting the conversation lightly.
"Pretty good." Summer Sutton replied indifferently.
Ryan Walyon was silent for a while, his eyes glancing at her as he cautiously asked, "Do you still think of him?"
He was referring to Adrian Walyon.
Ryan Walyon and all the Walyon Family, just like the rest of the world, believed Adrian was no longer around.
After his words, Summer Sutton suddenly thought of Watt Bennet.
Holding the coffee, gently blowing on the steam, she pondered whether to tell him about her encounter with Watt.
She was deep in thought, and Ryan Walyon assumed that hearing Adrian’s name had reopened her wounds, so he remained silent for a while before softly saying, "Summer, no one can hold onto another person for a lifetime. Once the pain is over, it’s time to wake up. Life must go on. You should start anew!"
Summer Sutton snapped back to reality, a slight smile tugging at her lips as she responded to his words.
"Jimmy, if you’re just concerned about me, I’m grateful. But I don’t agree with what you said. Unable to hold on, that’s because love wasn’t deep enough. My past is Adrian, and no matter how my future continues, it will only be Adrian!"
Her tone was calm as she spoke, yet her attitude was unwaveringly firm.
She indirectly let Ryan Walyon know that even if Adrian was gone, there would be no possibility with other men!
Summer Sutton had actually guessed some of the meaning behind Ryan Walyon’s earlier question.
