Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 900: Green-Eyed Monster Unleashed
Summer Sutton happened to walk past the guest who said the two were a perfect match. ๐๐๐ฆโฏ๐ธ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ทโฏ๐.๐๐๐
Her gaze swept lightly over the person, and she sarcastically remarked, "Whatโs so matching? With Lily Winslowโs kindergarten-like personality, shouldnโt she find a kindergarten kid to match her better? If you canโt see well, go see a doctor. If you canโt speak properly, then speak less."
When she criticizes people, she doesnโt hold back at all; her tongue is sharp and biting.
The guest who had just commented was left speechless by her retort.
Marshall Quinn quietly watched the scene, almost unable to hold back his laughter.
Today, Summer Sutton really showed him something.
Her biting remarks were no less sharp than Adrian Walyonโs.
Marshall Quinn inexplicably sensed a hint of sourness in Summer Sutton.
Why did she seem sour?
Marshall Quinn didnโt know.
With an indifferent expression, Summer Sutton walked toward the buffet area.
She took two large plates of food for herself, found a chair, and sat down. Randomly stirring the food on the plate with a knife and fork, she buried her head and began to eat.
Summer Suttonโs appetite wasnโt actually that big; it was just better than those bird-stomach actresses, but compared to average people, she didnโt eat much.
However, tonight she seemed quite agitated, continuously eating with her head down, occasionally hacking at the food on her plate as if it were her enemy.
She ate quite a lot. After finishing two large portions, she went back to get a bunch of fruit.
At the reception, not far away, a gaze silently floated in her direction, landing on her and watching for a long time without moving away.
Summer Sutton was still chopping the fruit on her plate with the knife.
She used great force, staring fiercely at the fruit, as if she were imagining a person there.
Her hand had just been bandaged, and Marshall Quinn worried that if she gripped too hard, her wound might start bleeding again. He watched on with his heart in his throat.
"Miss Sutton, maybe we should stop eating? How about I introduce you to some clients, okay?" Marshall tried to snatch the knife from her hand, but Summer Sutton suddenly slapped the tray loudly, causing Marshall to nervously retract his hand.
"Iโm fine." Summer Sutton replied blandly and continued eating with her head down.
"So, who pissed you off?" Marshall Quinn asked cautiously, looking at her.
Summer Sutton quietly ate the fruit in her dish and ignored him.
Marshall Quinn had no choice but to sit beside her.
Summer Suttonโs mood was written all over her face tonight.
Sheโd been unhappy ever since she arrived here, and Marshall Quinn could clearly see that.
While eating, she asked a server for two cups of low-alcohol cocktails, gulped them down, and reached for two more glasses from the serverโs tray.
She kept drinking, and Marshall Quinn felt especially uneasy watching her.
If Summer Sutton was upset, he could actually understand.
After Adrian Walyon left, it hit her hard, and he left a pile of company matters for her too.
Making a girl with no management experience suddenly manage over a dozen companies, while still needing to intern at her original companyโitโs a mountain of responsibilities that would make anyone feel overwhelmed.
Marshall Quinn interpreted Summer Suttonโs frustration as stemming from her work issues.
Summer Suttonโs stress was immense, and sometimes a little release wasnโt necessarily bad.
Marshall Quinn didnโt stop her and watched her drink more.
After Summer Sutton had already consumed several glasses, Marshall belatedly thought of a question: Can she handle her alcohol?
