SEX WITH MY BEST FRIEND'S FIANCÉ-Chapter 103
Chapter 103: Chapter 103
- HAZEL -
I hate being on periods. It’s the next thing close to hell a lady passes through every single month. Like a tiny reminder that we’ve got a grudge with nature by not bearing fruits and ‘multiplying’ an already filled up earth.
I roll my eyes. Being pregnant is no different. I have seen a lot of pregnant ladies and I have to say I’m not the least interested in going through that. At least, not so soon, so for now, periods you’re my new best friend.
Just for the five days at least. After then, I hate you.
I’m walking down the hall leading out of my department. I’m done with classes today and can’t wait to head to my dorm. I’m starving. I need to grab a meal first then shower, eat, study and sleep.
My stomach still cramps really badly but these pain killers are helping me a great deal. I dip my hand inside my bag to bring out my phone. I don’t know if it’s just me or everyone gets uncomfortable when walking without their phone in hand, even though the phone is in a bag which is on us or a purse. It just bugs me when I don’t have it in my hand. I always feel robbed of something important especially since the hands are the most useless parts of the body while walking. They just happen to be everywhere and it’s hard to think of what to do with them. Dip them in your pocket? Keep them in front of you or by your side?
At least when I’m holding my phone, I have just one hand to worry about. The one which will hold my bag or purse so I always get both hands covered and occupied. I finally find my phone in the sea of books, pens and writing materials, makeup and pads, a lot more gibberish, and meds and my laptop. My fingers wrap around my phone and I attempt to bring it out when a feminine voice rings in my ears.
“Sup girlfriend.” Carol swoops by in front of me and continues walking by my side. The way we randomly collide in the hallway sometimes is crazily cute.
“Hey.” I say, keeping my concentration on my bag, which hangs by my side from one shoulder as I zip it, and the path before me. Once my bag is fully zipped, I hang it over both my shoulders and look at her. “You good?” My gaze lands on her, studying her from head to toe. “You look good.” I smile then turn my face ahead.
“Why, thank you. I feel good too.” She giggles. She’s still walking by my side.
Something finally comes to mind. “Are you headed my way?” I ask.
“Mhm. Just down the hall to my car.”
She has a car? Am I the only rich, unprivileged kid? I still use an uber!!
“Heading somewhere important?” I ask again.
“Nope. Just home. Why?”
Thank goodness!
“Want to have lunch together? I will be bored eating all by myself.” Plus, you have a car. It’ll save me some extra expenses.
“Oh honey, sure. My plan was to sleep anyway.” Carol chuckles. “Want me to drop us off or?”
“Whichever is comfortable for you, really.” I say. Deep down, I want her to drop us but I don’t want to make it overly obvious.
“Driving it is!” She swirls a key on her finger and clasps it within her hand. Has she been holding it this whole time? I didn’t notice. Carol and I walk down the stairs leading outside the building. Just by the side of the building are reserved car parks. She holds her key out and a vehicle’s lights flicker on and off.
My eyes widen.
I try to hold my jaw from dropping. She owns a freaking 2016 McLaren 570S. MY GOD!!
I don’t know much about cars but fancy looking ones, I know.
I stand in front of her car, letting my eyes soak in the beauty. It’s black. The kind of black that makes you fold. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
“What are you waiting for? Get in.” Carol says. I lean my hand forward and open the door leading to the passenger seat. My eyes close as I inhale the pleasant scent of lavender air freshener which hits me the moment the door comes open.
If I thought Carol was dope before, she just got even doper. Like a gazillion times cooler!!
I sit down first then put my legs in. This car is so squeaky clean that I am worried my shoes aren’t worthy to touch it because it might leave a stain but Carol doesn’t care. She’s so sweet.
I put on my seat belt and close the door gently. “Send me the location of the eatery we’re headed. Let’s take this car for a cool ride!” Carol says, putting the key in and starting the engine.
We still haven’t exchanged numbers, which is odd, but none of us has said anything about it. I hold my hand out. “Your phone.” She hands it to me. Good, it’s unlocked.
I go on maps and type in the address. I hand her phone back to her.
A half grin forms on my face as I take a deep breath. I exhale softly. Let’s see what this baby can do! By ‘baby’, I mean the car.
My fingers clench around my bag. It really is refreshing getting into something new without feeling guilty or worried about anything. It really is nice having a girl pal who’s got my back.
We’ve only been accustomed for a short while yet she acts like we’ve known each other since forever. I look out the window, resting my elbow on the window and my palm supports my head.
I thought I’d be lonely when Kate left. I thought things will suck way more than they already do. I thought I’d want to go back home instead of letting the loneliness kick in but meeting Carol changed that. Through her, I met new people.
Through her, I made friends and as surprising as it is, because of her, school hasn’t been dull. Maybe she has proven herself to be trustworthy. Maybe I can finally share the secret that I’ve been begging to talk to someone about.
I think I am ready to talk to someone about my relationship with Killian. Without doubts.
