SEX WITH MY BEST FRIEND'S FIANCÉ-Chapter 211
Chapter 211: Chapter 211

I hear the thud of solid shoe soles echo in my ears. This makes my brows crease.
Even a sound so faint makes its way to my ears and actually bleeds the heck out of it.
I let out a breath through my mouth. For some reason, it feels as though my mouth is in some sort of confinement because I can feel my own breathing.
“Please, whoever it is, stop walking. My ears suffer because of it.” I manage to murmur. I know I’m tired. From the feel of it, I’m laying on a bed. My hand reaches for the sheets, squeezing into the mattress.
A not so comfortable one. Where the heck am I?
My eyes slid wipe open and I stare at the ceiling. I raise my hand to touch my face. Yes, my nose and mouth is constricted by some sort of plastic mask. And now that I’m awake, my senses are more aware to other noises in my environment.
The continuous beep being one of them. I sit up straight. The first thing I do is gaze at my body. I’m in hospital garments. I scoff.
Of course I am, I roll my eyes.
I finally run my eyes around the place. That’s when I sight Killian. He was here the whole time? I find it quite intriguing that he just waited while I let myself process whatever I needed to after waking up.
“Hey.” I say to him. A smile forms on my lips.
“Hey kitten. Sleep alright?” He asks, drawing near to me. I don’t hear the sound of shoe soles hit the floor anymore. This makes me lower my gaze to his feet. He’s only wearing socks. Black socks. My heart melts at the sight. He took his shoes off for me, that’s super sweet.
I nod. “Although I cannot remember most of it.”
Killian lets a sharp breath out. “That’s good. It’ll be traumatic if you could.”
This makes me laugh, a short humorous laugh.
“These past few hours seemed like the longest few hours of my life.” He says, eyes glued to me. He’s been here for that long? That’s nice.
“I can’t feel a thing on my shoulder. I find that weird.” I may have blacked out for a few hours but not long enough to forget I was shot and a raid happened in school. The pain was indescribable so now that I don’t feel a thing, maybe I am kind of worried?
“Injections. For nerves and tissue repairs with whatever form of surgery needed to close your wound up and treat you, you needed to be put to sleep.”
Pain killers. It seems that I’ve been dosed with a lot of it. I don’t even want to imagine the ache I’ll feel once the effects wear off. I really wish I could just be high on pain killers twenty-four seven but I doubt that’s even legal.
I let out a tired sigh, staring into the ceiling. I guess I should enjoy the few hours I have left till the unbearable sting begins to kick in.
“Anything you want to tell me, Killian?” I ask. Even without looking, I know he’s staring at me. I mean, I was shot, but I’m not some sort of fragile piece that needs constant inspection.
Or am I? I raise a brow with interest as diabolical thoughts raid my head. I may use this to my advantage and get him to do whatever it is that I want Maybe getting shot isn’t as bad after all. I try to hide the grin that so desperately wants to fix on my lips. He does not need to know my thoughts through the look on my face.
“Your phone rang a dozen times. You got calls from your brother, some other siblings, aunts, parents and even some cousins.” Killian says. His face shows bewilderment with a hint of sarcasm. “Interesting choice of ways to save their names by the way. It was almost hard to know who was who.”
I scoff. Did this human go through my phone? “Did you respond to anyone?”
“Nope.”
My eyes widens at that answer and I shoot my back off the bed. They would be so worried, my goodness!
“But I did talk with a parent over the phone.” He adds. Tch. Why not say this sooner? I rest my back back on the bed. Well, this bed is shit. I need a new one. A more comfortable one. “Someone I think is your dad. I let him know you’re okay.”
My brows crease. “You,” I start, emphasis on ‘him’, “Spoke with my father?” I am somewhat worried. Now I wish he didn’t respond to any of them at all.
“Yup.” Killian leans closer to me, an obvious grin on his face. “I let him know his daughter is in safe hands with me, if you’re wondering.”
I stare at him deadpanned. DOES HE WANT TO HAVE ME KILLED OR SENT TO ARMY SCHOOL?!!
Killian laughs. “The look on your face is epic, kitten, you should do that more often.”
I immediately switch expression, staring at him with a pout.
“You’re cute.” Killian pokes the center of my forehead with a finger. I don’t know why but this sent a warm shiver down my spine. “I let him know you’re in the hospital along with the state of your health. He was pleased to know you were found.” Killian adds more seriously this time. For a brief second, he was silent, almost as if he dazed out of what he was saying to just stare at nothing. “They all seemed to care about you.” He swallows. “Your dad, mainly.”
Oh.
I see it now. This must have something to do with the fact that his parents are. . . how do I put it without being rude or funny?. . . with their creator. I lean my hand forward to touch him. The way he jerked makes me know he was long gone in thought. Killian flashes me a smile, holding my hand gently.
“On the bright side, the school is closed till further notice so no exams for you. And students get to go home.”
Wait really? I’m not even pissed that I read my ass off this semester for nothing at all. School has been hell for me and most of what I passed through wouldn’t be if I never met Asami but screw that. I’m finally going home!
“The raid made quite the hit on the news. It’s on every site. Every paper, journalists sure are quick to gather statements, and here we are.” Killian says so casually. “We’ll be going back home. Back to the place it all began.” For a second there, I notice his eyes darken with a sense of desire. A wicked, diabolical desire but that look ended so quickly that I wonder if I imagined it.
“The place ‘we’ began.” I add.
He stares at me, eyes draping down my body. I can swear that I noticed his face tint red. I’m in a freaking hospital vest for goodness’ sakes!
This makes me blush though. I could put on rags and this man would want me. That look can make a woman cave.
“Very grey memories.”
My breath hitch at his words. I know what he hinted at. I’m sure the only reason why I can even react the way I do is because I can’t feel any pain but I remember it like it was yesterday.
My heart begins to pound in my chest. I wonder if the two of us going back there would heighten certain desires. . .
My mind hints back at Kate. She’ll be there too.
. . .Or put an end to them. Only time can tell.
