Capítulo 1647: Chapter 531: I’m Sorry

“Everyone follow me!”

Su Ming led Rhein and others towards the Light Shuttle, entering the interior through a large damaged opening on the ship’s surface.

The inside of the ship was pitch-black and lifeless, all facilities had ceased working. Only the dim emergency lighting was still operational, and various broken objects floated around.

Su Ming and the group explored further inward, continually breaking down some descending partition doors.

But the situation grew increasingly bizarre; not only did they fail to find any survivors, they didn’t even see a single body on the way.

“Boss, don’t you feel this ship is weird?”

Ankaga asked, feeling a bit unnerved.

Normally, even if a ship is blown to bits, there’d always be some bodies left behind. However, the Light Shuttle was mostly intact yet there were no corpses to be found.

“Indeed, everyone be careful.”

Su Ming reminded solemnly.

“Okay!”

The group responded in unison.

Su Ming and the others continued deeper inside and soon arrived at the transfer hall.

The dim transfer hall was empty except for a few flickering emergency lights; the entire ship resembled a ghost ship.

Su Ming manipulated his mecha to halt and asked Little Grey in a stern tone.

“Little Grey, can you sense any living people?”

After listening to Su Ming, Little Grey looked utterly confused and then shook his head.

Watching Little Grey’s shake of head, a terrible foreboding surged in Su Ming’s heart, but he maintained composure and ordered calmly.

“Split up and search; Ankaga, take a team to check the central control room, Rhein, take your team to search the living quarters…”

“Yes!”

Rhein and the others responded solemnly.

“Regardless of what you find, everyone regroup here at the end!”

Su Ming instructed the group.

“Understood!”

Rhein and his team immediately dispersed to search.

“Hopefully, nothing happens.”

Su Ming murmured softly, then operated Ilyas to wait in place, temporarily severing the mental connection. Biological Mechas are not like pure mechanical ones; prolonged driving can easily damage the body.

Time ticked away, several hours went by in an instant.

Rhein led his team back first.

“How was it? Did you find any survivors?”

Though Su Ming didn’t hold much hope, he still asked.

“No, this ship is especially strange. Not only did we fail to find any survivors, but we also didn’t see a single body; it feels like they disappeared into thin air.”

Rhein spoke, feeling a bit unsettled.

At this moment, Hamiu returned with his team and reported to Su Ming,

“Boss, I’ve checked the hangar area as well. Though we found some mechas, they were all empty.”

“I see.”

Su Ming nodded slightly in response.

Soon Ankaga also returned with his team.

“Ankaga, how’s the situation in the central control room?”

Su Ming asked solemnly.

“No survivors or any monsters found in the central control room. I initially wanted to try reading the logs, but couldn’t start the console.”

Ankaga explained to Su Ming.

“Let’s go to the central control room.”

Su Ming operated Ilyas and led Rhein and others away.

They soon arrived outside the central control room hall; however, Ilyas was too massive to enter the control room.

Su Ming opened the cockpit and floated out with Celeste and Little Grey, then instructed Hamiu.

“Hamiu, stay here and watch over my mecha!”

“Yes!”

Hamiu replied sternly.

Su Ming then led Rhein and others into the Light Shuttle central control room.

The vast central control room was in disarray, chairs toppled here and there. Aside from that, the console and other equipment were undamaged, and the overall layout remained unperturbed; everything was as he remembered.

Su Ming led Celeste to the console and said,

“Celeste, check it!”

“The console is intact, just without power; it’s likely the main power is compromised.”

Celeste scanned the console and said accordingly.

“What about the backup power?”

Su Ming asked immediately.

“The backup power must be exhausted. Such a large ship can’t be sustained for long with backup power.”

Celeste replied to Su Ming.

Su Ming turned to Rhein and instructed.

“Rhein, have the mechanics connect the mecha’s energy to the console using cables.”

“Alright.”

Rhein immediately went to arrange it.

Su Ming stood there quietly waiting.

Soon they connected the console using cables to the V-type pure mechanical mecha, Grey Hunter Envoy. Although Rhein’s mecha couldn’t supply energy to the entire ship, powering one control room briefly was fairly effortless.

Celeste then floated to the console, extending slender metal threads to embed into it.

Whoosh!

The console instantly powered up as the holographic operation screen emerged.

Celeste quickly input commands, numerous windows popped up, and soon the ship’s logs were retrieved and projected before Su Ming.

Su Ming reached out to scroll through the logs, which recorded:
