Sharing Dreams with My Bestie's Cousin-Chapter 62 - Kissed her
Chapter 62: Kissed her
Chapter 62: Kissed her
Wen Zhi had her first dream of Shang Hexing filled with unease and panic.
After the second dream about him, her panic turned into pleasure, but the lingering sense of loss upon waking made her feel especially conflicted inside.
This was the third dream…
Wen Zhi clearly saw Shang Hexing’s face.
And realized that this was the Shang Hexing she had constructed in her illusory dreamscape, an existence completely detached from reality.
Wen Zhi reached out to touch his face slowly, with a hint of tentativeness.
Shang Hexing did not avoid her hand, allowing her to touch him at will. His deep and dark eyes were locked on her for a long time before he asked her, “Do you like it?”
There were still droplets of water on his face, some of which transferred onto Wen Zhi’s fingertips. She slowly withdrew her hand and licked her fingertips by her lips.
It was that simple action that set aflame the dark glow in Shang Hexing’s eyes.
But she dashed cold water on him, replying, “I don’t like it.”
Shang Hexing stretched out his hand to pull her into his arms and imprison her, reminding her, “It was you who said not to cover up just now, just like this, I thought you liked it.”
He was soaked through and so was she.
Moreover, she was wearing a tank-style swimsuit that left little to the imagination with her fine curves on display. Now, fitting tightly against him, they couldn’t afford even the slightest spark.
Wen Zhi also knew how dangerous this was for her and didn’t dare to struggle, only murmuring in a small voice, “Just because I didn’t let you cover up, doesn’t mean I like it, let it be then.”
As her words fell,
he lifted his hand to grasp her chin and forced her to look up at him, enunciating each word she had just said, “Just-let-it-be?”
Wen Zhi saw a dangerous signal in his scorching gaze.
Scenes from her first two dreams flashed before her eyes, his dominance and ferocity left her no escape, her cheeks flushed with heat, her breathing quickened a bit.
She tried to break free from his grip but to no avail. His strength was too great, the force exerted by his hands very heavy, the most primitive strength of a man, powerful and fierce.
Knowing that being stubborn was useless, she softened her approach, crinkling her little face and said to him in a thin voice, “Brother, I was wrong, it hurts…”
Shang Hexing fell for her act and truly let go, “You’re just too delicate.”
“Can a man’s strength be compared to a woman’s? You’re just bullying me.” Now free, she didn’t forget to reproach him before turning away.
Shang Hexing’s deep gaze lingered on Wen Zhi’s retreating figure.
Her body had perfect proportions, waist, hips, and legs, especially those legs—exceptionally well-shaped and straight. Apart from the skin covered by the swimsuit, every exposed inch of her radiated a glowing whiteness.
“Can you teach me how to swim?”
Ahead, Wen Zhi looked back, her gaze earnestly seeking Shang Hexing’s.
Shang Hexing had draped a towel around him and stepped towards her, “I’m not a coach.”
Wen Zhi said, “But you are very good in the water.”
Shang Hexing then asked, “Just because I’m good in the water, I can be your coach and you’d trust your life in my hands without fear?”
Wen Zhi shook her head, “I’m not afraid.”
Shang Hexing glanced sideways, “Are you really not afraid?”
Wen Zhi without a trace of hesitation, “With you here, I’m not.”
Shang Hexing looked at her intently. That look was laden with meaning, and Wen Zhi vaguely understood, giving a rippling smile, “…Uncle, I think you can teach me.”
Shang Hexing narrowed his long eyes, “What did you call me?”
Wen Zhi imitated his squint, but her imitation appeared very cute, “Uncle, don’t you know? We are relatives!”
This was a dream.
In the dream, Wen Zhi had her own autonomy, aware that whatever happened in the dream had no bearing on reality, whatever she said or did existed only within the dream.
In short, even if she teased Shang Hexing, it would be okay.
Shang Hexing removed the towel draped over his body and spread it out before gently placing it over Wen Zhi’s head, “What kind of relative?”
In darkness, Wen Zhi reached out to pull away the towel covering her head and teased him with a smile, “I’ve been calling you ‘Cousin’, so you tell me, what kind of relative is that?”
Then, she called out a couple more times, “Cousin~ Cousin~~ will you teach me how to swim?”
The trailing tone of her voice was so melodious that a few more calls like that might start to raise waves.
Shang Hexing, feeling tickled by the sound, looked at her with great interest. He wiped her hair as if it was the most natural thing to do, “You sure are fearless, forgetting the shock of almost drowning just moments ago.”
Wen Zhi lifted her bright little face, “Adversity brings out one’s talent.”
Shang Hexing teased her back, “So many theories.”
Wen Zhi retorted, “Just say whether my reasoning is right or not.”
“Right,” Shang Hexing’s mouth curled up with a smile, his gaze at her gentle and tinged with a touch of indulgence, “Everything you say is right.”
As he dried her hair, his movements gradually slowed down until they stopped.
They were very close to each other, her light breaths caressed his chest, temptingly ticklish, yet she was oblivious.
He called her name in a low voice, “Wen Zhi.”
Wen Zhi met his gaze, her eyes like stars condensed, shiny and bright, her lips slightly parted and tender, inviting a kiss.
His gaze lingered on her lips, his Adam’s apple swallowing, as he leaned down close.
Wen Zhi tilted her neck backward, knowingly feigned ignorance, “What are you doing?”

Shang Hexing’s eyes were deep and intense. He wouldn’t tell her what he intended to do, instead, he lifted his hand around her ear, cradled the back of her head in his palm, and lowered his head to kiss her.
Wen Zhi, panicked, tried to block with her hands, yet he seemed very sober, yet out of control, bewitchingly coaxing her, “Move your hand.”
Wen Zhi was about to say it wasn’t possible.
At that moment, the towel fell to the floor, partially covering her toes. The next second, as she stepped back, she also stepped on the towel, Shang Hexing pried her hands away, grabbed hold of the back of her neck, and kissed her fiercely.
The towel on the floor was trampled into a mess.
Wen Zhi’s wet hair spread out, and water dripped from the ends onto the towel on the ground.
The towel was probably no longer usable.
After a long while, Shang Hexing finally let go of Wen Zhi, adding a reminder, “Stand firm.”
Wen Zhi said, “I’m not steady.”
He said, “Hold on to me.”
Wen Zhi collapsed into his arms, dizzy for quite a while before she could recover.
Listening to his steady, strong heartbeat, her lips, reddened by kisses, curved slightly, suddenly feeling… that such a dream wasn’t so bad after all.
In the dream, she could tear down Shang Hexing’s unattainable facade and act as she pleased with him. Every facet of him was a fantasy conjured in her dreams, even though she was reluctant to admit even the dreams from before were her own fantasies.
“Next time, you’ll need my permission,” she laid down the rule while nestled in his embrace.
Shang Hexing didn’t reply, just naturally wrapped his arms around her waist.
“Did you hear that?”
“If you didn’t, I’ll make you disappear.”
She started to ramble on.
Shang Hexing pinched her waist, “Enough.”
Even though the pinch didn’t hurt, the ticklish sensation made Wen Zhi shrink back and she told him, “I thought you didn’t hear me.”
After speaking, Wen Zhi lifted her face from his chest and brought up again, “You’ll teach me to swim.”
Shang Hexing didn’t give an opinion.
Wen Zhi stepped back from his embrace, “Don’t feel like it, huh?”
