Chapter 965: Chapter 965: We’re Not the Same

She maybe hoped more than anyone that Li Mo could return to how she was before, but she also understood better than anyone how hard it would be.

Five years had passed.

This period of time wasn’t particularly long, but it certainly wasn’t short either.

During this time, Li Mo had always stayed at home, rarely appearing in public.

The impact of the car accident on her was enormous; Fu Shihan said she needed time to adapt, but that was just his conjecture.

Li Mo coming to talk about this was something Su Wanxin had never expected.

She knew Li Mo’s capabilities at work, in other words, who wouldn’t know?

In front of Li Mo, no matter what Su Wanxin said, she felt like she was showing off her slight skills in front of an expert.

At Hua Zheng, if someone had to carry the flag, then compared to her or Fu Shihan, Li Mo was undoubtedly more suitable.

But...

Su Wanxin furrowed her brows, remaining silent. Seeing her hesitation and struggle, Li Mo calmly said, "Think about it, and let me know the answer next time you come home."

Su Wanxin nodded and asked, "Is Fu Shihan coming back the day after tomorrow?"

"Yes. His flight arrives at nine in the evening."

"Find some time to come home for a meal."

"Alright, I got it."

Feeling conflicted, Su Wanxin saw Li Mo off and sat alone in her office, her mind a bit blank.

She zoned out for a while until a colleague came to ask her something, pulling her back to reality.

Fu Shihan soon learned about Li Mo’s visit to her at the company because everyone around her was his people.

When she got home that night and finished bathing, it was no surprise she received his call. His first question was, "Did my mom go see you today? What’s it about?"

"I’m not telling you," Su Wanxin shook her head in refusal. "Can’t say."

Fu Shihan frowned, "Did she scold you?"

"Can’t you hope something good for me?" Su Wanxin chuckled bitterly, "In your eyes, the only reason Aunt Mo would go all the way to my company is to reprimand me?"

"What else would it be?" Fu Shihan thought about it, but couldn’t come up with an answer. "Whenever she seeks me out, it’s usually to criticize me."

"We’re not the same."

As Su Wanxin spoke, she couldn’t help but laugh, which made Fu Shihan even more curious and confused.

But since he wasn’t with her, he couldn’t force her to tell the truth, so he let it go.

"I’m hanging up, not talking anymore, I’m angry." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

He spoke with calm, picking up the tie on the sofa as he walked out.

"I need to go to a financial meeting soon. I won’t video chat with you. Go sleep early."

"Okay, I’ll sleep soon."

"Good girl."

Fu Shihan hung up the phone, fixed his tie, and headed out.

Outside, Jiang Cheng waited at the door. Seeing him come out, he said, "Brother Han, I just noticed that someone from the Trojan company seems to be on the list. Not sure who’s coming."

"Whoever comes doesn’t matter. It’s useless," Fu Shihan said with sarcastic mockery. "Today’s main focus is Su Bai."

He knew Su Bai would attend today, which was why before heading out, he planned to greet him, even if the other might not be willing to meet.

Leaving the hotel, Fu Shihan gazed at the foreign scenery outside the car window, his thoughts scattered between Su Wanxin and Li Mo’s matter.

Listening to Su Wanxin speak, it really didn’t sound like she was lying, and she was so well-behaved, hadn’t done anything to be scolded.

So, could it be that his mom simply went to check on her? After all, she was pregnant, it was possible.

Fu Shihan thought about it for a while, then finally opened the document Jiang Cheng had already handed him, quickly reviewing its contents before arriving at the meeting venue.
