Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth-Chapter 971: Just Hit Him
Fu Shiyi had his friend call the studio that released the exposé. After some maneuvering, they were able to confirm that the person mentioned in the Weibo post was indeed Fu Shihan.
Fu Shiyi was bombarded with questions all morning about who exactly his brother’s ten-year girlfriend was, leaving Fu Shiyi overwhelmed.
Fu Shihan received a definite answer and felt that Nangong Qiang’s maneuver was quite daring.
Looks like the beating by Lin Rui and his crew last time wasn’t harsh enough; otherwise, how would he have the guts to play such games with me?
He picked up the phone and called Jiang Cheng, instructing him to investigate Nangong Qiang’s personal information. Then, after finishing up his work, he went downstairs for a meal before heading out to find Nangong Gou.
Based on the information Jiang Cheng found, Nangong Qiang’s residence isn’t too far from his company, just a half-hour drive away.
It’s an old residential complex, without even an elevator.
Fu Shihan walked up to the fifth floor. Jiang Cheng rang the doorbell for ages, but there was no response. Just as he was about to ask Fu Shihan what to do, Fu Shihan abruptly pushed him aside.
"Brother Han?"
Jiang Cheng looked at Fu Shihan’s actions, a bit bewildered, unable to fathom his intent.
Fu Shihan simply bent down to tinker for a while, and then the locked door... just opened.
Jiang Cheng stared in shock at Fu Shihan, who casually tossed away the little unlocking tool in his hand and swaggered into the apartment, scanning around.
"Brother Han." Jiang Cheng followed quickly, closed the door, and whispered, "You know how to do that? How come I didn’t know?"
"There are many things you don’t know." Fu Shihan sat casually on the sofa, smiling faintly, "Better learn it; you’ll need it sooner or later."
Jiang Cheng hesitated, nodded, and agreed, though he was still puzzled about the utility of such skills.
"What time does he usually come home in the afternoon?" Fu Shihan looked at his watch and asked about Nangong Qiang.
"If there’s nothing going on, he should be back soon."
No sooner than ten minutes after Jiang Cheng spoke, footsteps and the sound of a key turning were heard in the hallway.
Fu Shihan sat steadily on the sofa, as if this were his own home.
Nangong Qiang entered humming a tune, cheerfully removed his shoes, and walked in. Upon seeing the two figures in the living room, he let out a startled "Ah" and turned to run away.
Being a paparazzo for so long, he’s made plenty of enemies.
Nangong Qiang couldn’t be sure how many people outside wanted to assault him, but he didn’t expect people to be so brazen these days, waiting in his home to beat him up.
And how did they get in?
Jiang Cheng watched him run, walked calmly after him, and quickly grabbed him back.
Nangong Qiang struggled, but it was futile. He was dragged all the way in front of Fu Shihan, finally relaxing upon recognizing the person on the sofa.
"Young Master Fu? Why is it you? My goodness, scared me to death!"
Nangong Qiang wiped his cold sweat, his entire demeanor shifting from tense to relaxed.
Fu Shihan glanced at the bruise under his left eye, likely from the beating Lin Rui gave him days ago. He spoke, his voice hauntingly soft, uttering three words—
"Give him a beating."
Nangong Qiang still hadn’t reacted before Jiang Cheng pinned him to the ground and gave him a thrashing, making him cry for his mother and father, clueless about his own wrongdoing.
Fu Shihan waited until the beating was about enough before speaking again, telling Jiang Cheng to stop.
"Young Master Fu, what did I do to deserve this beating from you???"
Nangong Qiang looked pitifully at Fu Shihan, his eyes swollen and blackened.
