Chapter 201: Chapter 201 Continue Fighting

Shen Heyu saw him like this and didn’t say much. She turned and entered the room first.

Pei Yansi, holding his daughter, went to her children’s room. After tucking her in and arranging everything, he stood up, left the room, and went to the bridal chamber.

When he arrived, Shen Heyu was taking clothes out of the wardrobe, preparing to go to the bathroom.

Caught off guard by Pei Yansi’s quick arrival, she hesitated for a moment before saying, “Why don’t you go first?”

Pei Yansi shook his head, walked over to her, and said, “Do you even have the strength to bathe? Otherwise, let me help you.”

Shen Heyu knew that if she really let him help, it wouldn’t just be a simple bath. She then repeatedly refused, saying, “No need.”

Pei Yansi quietly looked at her face, seemingly knowing what she was thinking, and took the initiative to explain, “It’s just a bath, I know you’re very tired today.”

Without giving Shen Heyu a chance to speak, he took the clothes from her hands, held her hand, and led her directly to the bathroom.

Seeing this scene, Shen Heyu knew she couldn’t refuse and didn’t struggle in vain.

She was placed by Pei Yansi into the bathtub.

Pei Yansi picked up the showerhead, carefully tested the water temperature, and then added water to the bathtub.

The warm water enveloped her layer by layer, sweeping across her skin, significantly reducing her fatigue in an instant.

Shen Heyu leaned back involuntarily and closed her eyes.

This was the first time she had relaxed like this in front of Pei Yansi.

Seeing this, Pei Yansi’s lips curved slightly as he earnestly helped her to clean.

He remembered something and asked, “Did Shao You touch you anywhere today?”

Shen Heyu shook her head. He had only pointed a dagger at her neck, without further action.

Yet, that dagger left a clear red mark on her neck.

Pei Yansi saw it and felt a rage he couldn’t suppress. He gently reached out to touch it, and just as he did, Shen Heyu seemed to wince in pain.

“It hurts, doesn’t it?” Pei Yansi asked softly, his voice filled with unmistakable tenderness and concern.

Shen Heyu nodded without speaking, thinking to herself that it was all his fault she was in this state.

He was just pretending here.

Pei Yansi didn’t know what she was thinking, and just focused on the scar on her neck, suppressing the desire in his heart to tear Shao You apart.

When they finally left the bathroom, Pei Yansi carried Shen Heyu and placed her on the soft, large bed in the room, gently saying, “Wait here for me.”

Shen Heyu didn’t speak.

At this hour, where else could she go? She just felt like he was making needless conversation.

She leaned against the headboard, listlessly browsing her phone.

She saw that Lu Yunlan had sent a text and made about ten unanswered calls an hour ago.

She frowned, realizing she hadn’t informed him that she was safe after being kidnapped.

She dialed Lu Yunlan’s number to call him back.

Lu Yunlan answered quickly, her voice filled with unmistakable worry, as she said, “Are you alright? I couldn’t reach you, so I had no choice but to tell Pei Yansi.”

Shen Heyu had already figured that the timely arrival of the police must have had something to do with Lu Yunlan.

She said, “It’s all fine now.”

Lu Yunlan sighed, “Why do you run into such situations every day? It’s really messed up. By the way, my brother is also very worried about you; I’ll hand the phone to him, you guys can talk a bit.”

Shen Heyu actually didn’t want to agree. Apart from the fact that Pei Yansi was still there, Lu Yi was prone to jealousy, and whenever he got jealous, she was the one who suffered.

Of course, this was more about her desire to avoid the situation.

However, Lu Yunlan didn’t give her much chance to refuse; before she could even speak, the phone was already handed to Lu Yi.

Lu Yi’s voice came through, “Heyu, is everything okay with you now?”

Shen Heyu hummed a response, not wanting to chat much with him. Just as she was about to hang up, she heard him say, “You don’t need to worry too much; I’m already working with Shen Jiangli on a plan to get you out of there.”

“Soon, we can both leave this troublesome place. No one will be able to threaten you again.”

Lu Yi said this very sincerely, but with each word, Shen Heyu felt heavier because she knew she didn’t have the capability to truly leave Pei Yansi’s side.

Not hearing her reply, Lu Yi continued, “Are you listening to me? I said…”

What he said next, Shen Heyu didn’t hear a word, as she saw Pei Yansi enter the room.

The bedroom was very quiet, allowing every word from the phone to be heard clearly.

As expected, Pei Yansi’s expression darkened. He was holding a small white tube, which looked like some kind of ointment.

He slowly approached the bedside, each step followed by a sentence, the pressure intense enough to make Shen Heyu almost breathless.

“How long have I been gone, and you’re already on the phone with your little lover?”

Pei Yansi wore a cold smile on his lips as if sitting casually at the bed’s edge, but the chill in his eyes was terrifying.

Shen Heyu was frightened by his ominous look; she was most afraid of him in moments like this — his face might be smiling, but his eyes were devoid of warmth, like a hellish demon coming for souls.

Almost subconsciously, Shen Heyu hung up the phone, afraid that Lu Yi might say something to provoke Pei Yansi’s anger.

Seeing her hurriedly hang up, Pei Yansi grew even colder, “Why stop? Go on, keep talking.”

Her face turned pale as she tried to explain, “We didn’t say anything.”

“Really?” Pei Yansi stared deeply at her, knowing better than anyone what had been discussed. He had clearly heard the other side trying to take her away.

However, when his gaze fell on Shen Heyu’s reddened neck, all the blame he had melted away.

He suppressed his anger, unscrewed the cap of the ointment, and said, “Come here, let me apply some ointment for you.”

Seeing Pei Yansi like this, Shen Heyu thought not running away was already good enough – how could she dare to approach him?

Seeing her motionless, Pei Yansi frowned deeply, no longer caring as he lifted the blankets, sat down, pulled Shen Heyu into his arms, and gently applied the ointment on her neck.

The cool ointment spread from his fingertips, easing some of the pain on her neck. Shen Heyu occasionally stole glances at him, sensing that he had turned gentler at that moment.

This man was capricious and difficult to attend to.

She mused to herself.

“Thinking something bad about me?” he suddenly asked.
