She Belongs To The Devil-Chapter 820: A Short Catch Up
"Who’s there?" one of the guards on patrol duty asked when he suddenly heard sudden thud and groans in the dungeon.
Damien quickly gestured for Silvia to not let that guard know about his presence since he had no intention of staying there in the castle as an uninvited guest.
Silvia also didn’t want to put Damien in a difficult position since he was in the middle of his journey, and he wasn’t traveling alone. Thus, she gave a nod to Damien and then shouted back, "Uh… it’s me. I was just… checking."
"Ah! Did you need any help, Princess," that guard asked as he kept on walking towards the cell from where the sound was coming.
And the Princess of Aberdeen abruptly denied the help, "No, I’m good. I was just taking a run and somehow ended up here."
When the Princess mentioned that she had gone for a run, the guard finally hesitated from taking a further step because there was a possibility that the Princess had done that without getting fully prepared, meaning he didn’t want to accidentally catch the Princess without proper clothing.
"I will take a leave then," he replied and then quickly walked away.
Silvia finally let out a deep breath and then looked around at the cell where they currently were. It was empty except for the seven of them. Thus, she looked at Damien with a questioning gaze and then asked, "How did you know that this cell was empty?"
Damien also took a look around at the cell; he hadn’t yet noticed that there weren’t other prisoners inside that particular cell. So, he shrugged and then replied, "Lucky guess?"
He then suddenly chuckled as he recalled the only time he had visited the Palace of Aberdeen. And he once again looked around at the cell and recounted the tale of the past, "I once locked Ramon in this very cell. And I left him here alone for five minutes."
"What? For real?" Silvia raised her brows and asked while trying to contain her laughter because she had already guessed what might have happened after that. Yet, she still asked him, "And then what did he do?"
Damien pinched his nose to prevent himself from laughing out loud. And then he replied while snorting and chuckling, "When I came back here, Ramon was crouching in that corner and crying his eyes out. I knew he was crying because he was scared. But he said that..." Damien took a deep breath in and said after wiping his eyes, "He said that a bug went inside his eyes and bit him."
Silvia closed her eyes as well as her mouth and did her best to control her laughter. "Bugs? Seriously?" She chortled and whispered, "He could have made a better excuse! Bugs… I can’t believe he actually said that."
"And I guess he was around your current age at that time," Damien added and then kept on chuckling for a while.
"Ewww…" Silvia almost cried while laughing because she hadn’t expected Ramon to be that much of an idiot when he was already in his early teen years.

After both of them calmed down a little, Silvia finally asked the question that was bugging her for a while, "Damien… Did you… Did you meet Ariel?"
She was also aware of how Damien and Ariel had a big fight a few years ago and Damien suddenly abandoned Ariel. Thus, after seeing Damien here on Earth, she was curious to know if he had made amends with Ariel or not.
And to her relief, Damien gave a wide smile and answered happily, "Yes. I met her, and everyone else. They are currently in Romania, at Joy’s in-law’s castle. And I was touring along with them."
"They are in Romania?" Silvia asked in a surprised tone. She was even a little envious because she wasn’t with them.
Damien could read Silvia like an open book. He saw the sadness in her eyes, thus he said in a consoling way, "They all wanted to visit Aberdeen as well when they started their journey. But since it was the Crown Prince of Brenalia who had invited them, and since the Enchanted Valley didn’t fall on the way, they couldn’t come here."
That didn’t make Silvia feel any better though.
So, Damien further said, "But I think they were talking about coming here when they return from their journey."
"It would have been nice to travel together with them if they had come here at the start of the journey," Silvia mumbled softly. She realized that she had spoken her mind. So, she gave a smile for Damien’s effort and corrected herself. "It’s okay though. Since I am the only Princess of this Kingdom, I have a lot of responsibilities.
And my grandfather wouldn’t have allowed me to travel to other Kingdoms anyway."
Damien consolingly patted her head and said, "Well, if you feel like traveling to other Kingdoms, then Ariel and I will offer you our teleportation service. You won’t need anyone’s permission. And it can be us three’s little secret."
Silvia smiled ear to ear when Damien offered her some bizarre solution. "Sure, I will hire the two of you if I ever feel like sneaking to another country at night. But I am going to need some secret magical way to summon the two of you to me. Like that magical pendant of Ariel."
Damien gave a nod and said, "Sure, we will ask Prince Theodore to teach us to create such a magical object. That way, you can contact us."

Silvia was happy to see how Damien was constantly mentioning Ariel in the conversation. "Tell Ariel and all three of my cousins that I miss them all. And ask them to visit me for sure."
"I will. I will drag them all here if I have to." Damien then pointed at the still knocked-out werewolves who were lying on the floor and said, "Make sure to lock them up or something. I should now go back to my friend. He must be worried sick about me."
"Sure." Before Damien teleported away, Silvia asked one more question, "And who is this friend who worries about you?"
Damien smiled and replied, "He is the Crown Prince of Brenalia. Kenneth."
