She Has Three Little Treasures: Fake Heiress, Yet Captures The Tycoon's Heart-Chapter 1024: That Was Clearly a Threat
The latter half of the sentence was left unsaid by Susan Kensington.
She saw a video start playing on the tablet placed in front of her.
Her son, Felix Hawthorne, was tied up like a dumpling and hung off a high-rise building several stories up.
A gust of wind blew, making him sway unsteadily.
In the video, Felix Hawthorne had his eyes closed at first, but soon he opened them.
At first, Felix’s expression was bewildered, but he quickly realized his situation and screamed in terror.
As Felix struggled, he swayed even more violently, becoming more terrified.
Then, he wet himself from fright.
He really did, his pants quickly soaked, with liquid dripping down, and he was in tears and snot, looking both pitiful and miserable.
Susan Kensington wanted to tell herself that the video was fake, that it was synthesized, but she knew it was all too real.
No one could make a video this lifelike, especially since she recognized the clothes Felix was wearing. They were the ones she bought him just two days ago while shopping together.
Her son’s domineering nature didn’t allow others to wear the same style as him, so they bought out all the matching outfits in the store.
"Felix! Felix!"
Watching her son cry and scream in terror, Susan Kensington screamed hysterically and turned to look at Raina North with gritted teeth: "Raina, how dare you! How could you!" 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
"Yes, I dared, didn’t you already see it?" Raina North approached and leaned in to look at the hatred-filled, crimson eyes of Susan Kensington, laughing: "Can you read the statement this time?"
"Raina!"
"Shh."
Raina North placed her finger on her lips and whispered: "Be careful with your next words. If you say something that displeases me and the rope holding the Third Master breaks, that wouldn’t be good."
"You!" Susan Kensington was almost exploding with anger, but she dared not gamble.
The current Raina North was a lunatic.
The deranged Raina North urged kindly: "Can we begin? I’m still waiting to use it."
"I’ll read it. I’ll read it." Susan Kensington’s voice sounded as if it was being squeezed out.
Gazing at each word of the so-called statement, Susan Kensington’s eyes were almost bleeding.
Yet, Raina North had many demands: "The tone is too stiff, the expression isn’t right."
"Kneeling and confessing, admitting guilt shouldn’t be this mechanical."
"Aren’t you an award-winning actress? Put some real emotion into it. Otherwise, won’t people immediately see that it’s forced?"
Susan Kensington: "..."
Isn’t she being forced?
Raina North sighed helplessly upon seeing this: "Since Ms. Kensington can’t cooperate properly, I’ll have to ask the Third Master for help again. Lune, go and tell Pip Finch to take the Third Master for a walk."
Lune immediately acknowledged.
"Wait! Hold on!"
Susan Kensington loudly stopped them: "I’ll read it, I’ll read it now. I’ll make sure you’re satisfied."
No matter how incompetent Felix Hawthorne was, he was still dear to her heart, and she couldn’t bear to say a harsh word.
Susan Kensington took a deep breath and began reading the statement once more.
Raina North was very pleased, repeatedly praising: "Not bad, not bad, this time it feels much better. The Third Master is very useful indeed. In the future, we should maintain a good relationship with the Third Master. Whenever Ms. Kensington is reluctant, a word from the Third Master will suffice."
Upon hearing Raina North’s words, Susan Kensington almost ground her teeth to dust. Was that a plea? It was clearly a threat!
