SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS-Chapter 537 - 535: BIRTHDAY PREPARATIONS
Chapter 537: Chapter 535: BIRTHDAY PREPARATIONS
Athary, Frin
Bam.
"Ahhh~~" Ruby exclaimed as she closed the door, stepping into the comfort of the place she had called home ever since she started school; the studio apartment given to her by Diamond.
It has been another long day of studying, doing assignments, interacting with friends, and, above all, making herself popular.
Thinking about the last things she did for the day, a helpless smile appeared on her face.
Ruby went straight to the bedroom and freshened herself. She had eaten already, so there was no need for her to go to the kitchen.
Wearing her lightweight pajamas since it was hot, she threw herself on the bed and lay on her belly with her legs kicking in the air while holding her tablet in hand.
She needed to do something very important, and now was the perfect time—or so she hoped. After all, she was about to call Diamond.
The time zones were different, so she needed to be careful about the time that she called.
Ruby logged into ChatLine and went straight to her sister’s chat and dialed the video call icon.
The phone started ringing, and it did so several times before the call was answered.
[Hey!] a cheerful voice sounded from the other side, a familiar face coming into view.
Upon seeing that face, a smile blossomed on her face, thinking how much she loved seeing her sister.
"Hey, Sis! Where are you?" Ruby greeted and asked curiously as she saw the background of where Diamond was.
She didn’t seem to be at the hotel, but outside. And the place that she was in was a bit noisy with people speaking in Gesalsi, making it hard for her to hear what they were talking about.
[Oh! Just sending something to this place. Anyway, why did you call? Did something happen at home?]
Seeing her changing the topic, Ruby could only bite her tongue and not ask further. However, hearing the curiosity in her tone, she couldn’t help but feel helpless.
Can’t a sister call a sister for no reason?
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. After all, she had a reason to call.
"Everything is fine at home. I just wanted to ask you about your birthday. What are your plans?" it’s been a while now, and there wasn’t any news from Diamond.
It was as if she wasn’t planning on doing anything at all and that was giving her pressure. Especially with the super fans, who were busy with the birthday surprises for Diamond.
There should be something, right?
Even if it’s not for the fans but for the family as a whole.
When was the last time they sat together and celebrated a birthday?
She wanted to celebrate one for sure. She just hoped that Diamond would organize something.
There was silence on the other side of the call and after a while, a response came, [I almost forgot about that, actually. How about this? I will make some plans this side and tell you once I am done.]
When Ruby heard that, a sigh of relief escaped her lips. At least there was something despite the forgetting.
"Is it the family kind of fan kind?" she asked in addition, curious about it.
[On the 15th, we will gather as family and friends. I have already thought of the place where we will go. On the 16th, I will do something for the fans.]
Ruby nodded in satisfaction at hearing that.
There were times when people needed their privacy, and she loved how Diamond saw that as well.
The fans can be spoiled, but not overly spoiled.
"Okay. I can deal with that. Just tell me if there is anything that you need help with!"
[Hehe, if you want to help me, then study well. Just leave this to me. This sister has plenty of time on her hands. I can manage!]
Ruby chuckled when she heard that. Diamond was still the most dedicated parent-like sister she had ever received.
Every time she opened her mouth, it was about studies. Even if she wanted to hate the other, she just couldn’t.
How could she, when the other just wanted the best for her?
While thinking like that, Diamond started speaking Gesalsi. Ruby didn’t know who she was talking to, but it seemed that it was a bit serious.
Recalling how her sister was busy when she called, though she had forgotten, she couldn’t help but feel guilt.
So, when Diamond finished her chat with that other person, she voluntarily withdrew saying, "Sis. Let’s talk when you are free."
Diamond absentmindedly responded as she raised her hand, probably signing to someone again. [Sure. I will give you the updates.] before hanging up.
Seeing the dark screen, a faint chuckle escaped her lips as she shook her head helplessly.
Even in a foreign country, she was still busy. Just what exactly was she doing? She couldn’t help but wonder.
After the call with Diamond, Ruby rolled on the bed until she was lying on her back.
With no assignments to do on that night, she had more time to check her social media account and check how she was faring.
She had been an influencer for around two months and yet in these few months her followers on Ioniq exceeded one million and on Acebook, there were slightly over two hundred thousand.
This number compared to her sister, whose followers on all social media platforms exceeded two million fans. She was still a sprouting baby.
However, recalling how she didn’t have time to socialize as much as her sister because of school, she could only accept the discrepancy.
Unlike her sister, who seemed to be born for this kind of thing, she was just flowing with the flow.
Thankfully, this side job of hers was providing some money to the table. She got monetized, so the gifts from fans, she was earning something from it.
She could proudly say that it was another portion of her income which didn’t come from Diamond. How could she not be happy?
Ruby scrolled through the posts, read the comments and when she was yawning, feeling drowsy, she posted a good night message before switching her phone off.
She couldn’t continue being online for long when there was still school tomorrow.
As a student, school takes precedence.
And her sister told her to study hard.
She was very obedient and went to sleep before 11 pm, preparing for what a new day would bring her.
