Chapter 859: Chapter 857: TALKING ABOUT BOYS

"Sister Emily!" Diamond enthusiastically called Emily upon seeing her coming their way.

"Diamond, good, you haven’t left yet!"

Diamond smiled at Emily before her eyes started scanning the man and young woman Emily was with.

"Hehe, we were about to leave. Are these your children, sister Emily?"

Emily’s eyes lit up as she looked at her children.

"Um, they are mine. This is my second born. He is called Ian," Emily introduced as she pointed to her eldest son before moving to her youngest daughter, "and this is the last born. She is named Lily."

Diamond smiled as she looked at Emily’s children. She stretched her hand towards Ian first as she introduced herself, "Hello Ian. I am Diamond and I have heard so much about you from your mother."

Ian shook hands with Diamond briefly and firmly as he responded to the greeting, "I hope that it was all good things!"

Diamond chuckled heartily when she heard that and readily responded to him, "Your mother is very proud," before turning to Lily.

Emily didn’t forget to tell her children to call Diamond, little aunt. What could Diamond do to stop that? Nothing.

In the end, she gained a pair of big nephews and nieces in just a few hours and the feeling was quite new for her.

Diamond also introduced Richard to the three as she removed her mask.

"Sister Emily, this is my friend Richard. I came here to see him this time."

’Wow! I now see why Mother made her a friend and a little sister!’ Lily was amazed by Diamond’s beauty the moment the mask left her face.

That beauty quite took aback even Ian but he didn’t think far. After all, there were beauties everywhere, right?

However, when he saw Richard’s face, his eyes narrowed briefly as he remembered who the other party was. Unfortunately, his mother and sister didn’t seem to know.

After the pleasantries were exchanged, it was time to part. After all, time was flying and Richard happened to live far away.

"When we get home, sister, I will call you!" Diamond promised as the two groups parted outside.

"I will be waiting. Don’t forget!"

"I won’t. Trust me!" she promised with a smile as she waved at Emily.

After the farewells, Diamond and Richard went their way, chatting merrily and laughing heartily.

Those that they passed by could tell that they had a great relationship. It was envious to watch.

While Diamond and Richard were having the time of their life, gossiping about this and that going to the car. Emily and her children had also reached their car.

After boarding the car, Ian couldn’t help but ask his mother, "Mother, how did you meet Diamond, again?"

"Oh! Her? On the plane. We were sitting side by side."

Ian nodded as he tried to digest that. "Where does she come from?"

Emily answered truthfully before asking, "Son, why are you asking that? Could it be that you are interested in her? Impossible! Son, you are married. Besides, that’s your little aunt. Don’t even think about it!"

Ian helplessly chuckled as soon as his mother started berating him like that. Lily on the other hand simply shook her head as she watched the little drama. They were funny to watch and listen to.

"Mom, it’s not like that. I was just trying to connect the dots about how those two know each other!" he clarified quickly.

Only then did Emily loosen her fangs.

"Brother, could it be that you recognized Richard? Who is he?" Lily upon getting the clue asked curiously, anticipation in her eyes.

The people that were recognized by her brother weren’t small fries. He should be some son of a rich family, right?

Seeing the curiosity of his little sister as well as the sparkling eyes of his mother, Ian didn’t keep the two ladies waiting but gave them a response.

"If I am not mistaken, that guy is Richard. He owns the famous LEGACY clubs and his aunt is that famous painter who painted one of the paintings we have at home. Do you know the painting with a beautiful landscape? The one mom you purchased for A$10 million two years ago."

When Ian explained that, both mother and daughter were so shocked that their mouths were wide open.

"You mean that guy is that famous?"

"Um. He is, and that made me wonder what kind of bigshot mother befriended?" Ian was very curious about Diamond’s identity now.

Unfortunately, Emily didn’t know. She didn’t get time to ask. They were enjoying other topics.

"Don’t worry. I will ask her. We are friends, after all!"

Richard and Diamond became friends after meeting at a banquet in Frin City. Richard was a relative of Clarissa’s.

The two clicked during that banquet and ever since, they became very close. Although they didn’t meet frequently, they chatted nearly daily.

Richard was Diamond’s first homosexual friend. It was quite surprising when she learnt about Richard’s sexuality but she wasn’t disgusted about it. After all, she had her own issues as well. So, why judge others?

Moreover, love was a good thing.

"My place is a bit far. I prefer living in solidarity," Richard chucklingly said as the car continued to move on the driveway.

"Hehe, you aren’t alone. Living peacefully without being gawked by a lot of people is the kind of life that I also want. So, I don’t blame you. Let’s see how special this place is!"

Diamond was very much interested in seeing Richard’s place he always bragged about.

Talking about his house, Richard who had met his sister after two months couldn’t help but start boasting about it.

The driver listened with a smile on his face, finding his master more talkative which was a good thing.

After learning more about the house, she was even more eager to see it in person but before she did so, she couldn’t help but be interested in a matter she jokingly raised at the airport.

"So, Richard. Are you going to spill the beans?" she teasingly asked, her brows raised as she looked at him in the eyes.

Richard blushed when he heard that. He couldn’t help but look away but his expression sold him.

Diamond exclaimed as she put her hands on her cheeks her eyes widened in surprise.

"You .... You are seeing someone?" it was quite a shock.

These people had been grilling her about her boyfriend in the group chat and yet Richard didn’t speak anything about his. How could that be fair?

Richard shyly punched Diamond’s thigh when she said that.

"You ... um, it’s not like that!" he stammered as he shyly said that and Diamond corked her brow at him and teasingly asked, "Then what? Explain to me. Hurry!"

Richard facing such an enthusiastic friend. What else could he say?

He could only confess.

"Um .... We aren’t exactly dating but he is kinda... you know pursuing me," he shyly explained, thinking about that young man who had been making his heart race recently.

When she heard that, Diamond became very much invested. She eagerly looked at Richard urging him to continue with his confession and Richard didn’t let her down.

Richard was turning twenty-eight years old tomorrow, making him almost a year older than her considering that she was born in March and him in May.

Anyway, Richard despite being gay didn’t mean that he had never dated anyone in his life. The country hadn’t legalized gay marriages and the like but that didn’t mean that there weren’t people in the LGBTQA+ community in the country.

It wasn’t legalized yet but people were open about it. It wasn’t rare to see such couples everywhere you go.

He had his own share of relationships and his family knew of his orientation which was a blessing for someone born in a rich family like him. It might have been hard for his family to accept him but luckily, they did.

Anyway, back to the story, Richard’s last relationship was nearly four years ago. Not that there weren’t guys pursuing him but the last guy he dated cheated on him. One day, a pregnant woman showed up at their doorstep and he learnt how his boyfriend had been two-timing. That took a heavy toll on him.

He was heartbroken and put all his energy into building his business empire. It was around the time that he opened his first LEGACY club and in just less than four years, he now owned three clubs. And all of them were very popular and located in Avia City alone.

He was too lazy to expand out of the city. Thankfully, the method still worked.

After operating a successful business and earning millions every year, Richard could be said to be very successful, and he was quite a catch. But who made him gay?

His prospective partners weren’t that much. After all, some people were closeted gays and were still afraid of coming out. Those that were out, he wasn’t interested in them at all.

Anyway, just recently, at the neighboring mansion, a new guest was welcomed.
