Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess-Chapter 757: The Light Goddess and the Reaper

The beings of the Exiled Star had gotten used to the world voice that can be heard from time to time. The first they heard the voice of the heavens is when the first true god of their world was born. The Wind Sword God whose identity and origins were unknown and even his god’s sanctuary cannot be found. The second time is when the announcement of the God of Sea’s ascension and the appearance of the Sea God’s sanctuary in the middle of the ocean. The current one is the third time. The consecutive announcement of three gods’ ascension and a terrifying truth that they would have never expected.

"The Goddess of the Moon didn’t choose to stay in this world by her choice. She was unable to leave as their world would be left unprotected if she left. The world had restrained her freedom to ascend to the higher plane. So the goddess found a few chosen ones to receive other divinities’ legacies. Now that there are gods to protect the world in her place, she is now able to ascend to a higher plane than this world."

At least this is what most people in the Exiled Stars thought about. They felt as if they had dragged down the goddess who had given them countless blessings and felt bad about it. They tried to find the goddess location only to hear that she had accompanied her friends in it. They had been inside for a few years now. Ten years inside the ruin is only a year outside.

Before the announcement of the heavenly laws to congratulate the three newly ascended gods, inside the ancient ruins, three people were undergoing their own god’s trials. Xiao Muen just completed his and finally became one of the True Gods on this planet. After accepting the divinity given to him by the heavens, he descended on the sky still looking like a roasted human. It seems that the heavens intentionally didn’t heal his outer appearance, only his internal injuries. Maybe because he gave a middle finger to it.

Xiao Muen complained as soon as he landed on the ground, "Ugh~, I ascend, how come my whole body hurts? Aren’t I supposed to be healed after ascending?"

"Giving a middle finger to the heavens and still asking to be healed? Be thankful it healed your internal injuries at least," said Yue Xuexia.

Ru Lanyu who was meditating suddenly opened her eyes and looked around.

She said, "I can smell some roasted chicken wings. Did you cook some Xue’er? Have you saved my part?"

Lin Ruri, Han Yoonjun and Yue Xuexia who knew about the source of that delicious fragrance being the wings of Xiao Muen after he was struck by the lighting couldn’t hold back laughing as they saw Xiao Muen’s ugly face when he heard Ru Lanyu’s words.

The two run and chase one another like children while the others are laughing loudly watching the scene of these two childish adults around the area. After the two got tired, Yue Xuexia left the healing to Lin Ruri allowing her to practice how to wield the power of light that she inherited from the legacy of the Goddess of Light. After healing Xiao Muen, a figure of the Goddess of Light comes out of Lin Ruri’s body.

Everyone was startled to see a figure of the Light Goddess. She looks like a holy woman with long wavy blond hair and golden eyes with three pairs of wings on her back looking like an Archangel.

{My child you’ve successfully healed as divinity. Heal two more divine beings and you will be able to gain merits enough to ascend. May the light always be with you.}

The Light Goddess silhouette had disappeared after saying these words while the aura of light on Lin Ruri had greatly increased as well. Making her look even holier than before. Now her aura even has the effects of soothing making one feel relaxed and unguarded towards her.

Han Yoonjun approached his wife and sighs in relief seeing that the light around her seems to cause no harm to his beloved.

He said, "Is that the Goddess of Light? Is your legacy trial involving healing people and divinities?"

"If it’s healing... Xiao Ru, try healing me. I haven’t healed the slight injury on my soul when the soul fragment I left Yunlan was destroyed. Maybe healing me would count as well," the Moon Goddess said.

On the other hand, the rest of them were stunned. They didn’t expect that Yue Xuexia was wounded to protect Ru Yunlan. Of course, a Mahayama Realm cultivator can harm her in her current physical body that is. But the one on Ru Yunlan is just a soul fragment, barely can be considered a Soul Clone. To block an attack that is no different from an ambush in an instant made that clone overused the energy reserves within the soul fragment. Yue Xuexia didn’t heal her soul as she was observing her natural healing capabilities without using her divine healing on herself. This gave Lin Ruri a chance to complete her trial.

Lin Ruri said, "Xue’er, you haven’t cured your injured soul yet?! Let me see!"

"How can you be so careless!" Ru Lanyu said.

Yue Xuexia said, "It’s not that bad. Just a bit of scratch on the soul."

"Is puking blood that simple?" Xiao Muen said.

Han Yoonjun said, "Please let Ruru treat it."

Seeing the worried faces of her friends, Yue Xuexia felt a bit guilty and let Lin Ruri check on her. A slight golden light entered the body of Yue Xuexia checking through her soul. At first, Lin Ruri was startled as she can feel two souls in her friend’s body, but since everyone has a secret, she didn’t ask about it and treated both souls.

One soul is dormant while the other is slightly injured. Lin Ruri poured all of the light energy she could muster into the Moon Goddess body. It took her everything to cure the small wound on Yue Xuexia’s soul and most of her energy was absorbed by the dormant one.

After healing Yue Xuexia, Lin Ruri suddenly floated on towards the heavens with both of her wings open. As if she was in trance with both her hands clasped into a form of a prayer, the voice of the Goddess of Light once again resounds.

{Congratulations, my child. You have cured two divine souls. One Godking and one transcendence. You have completed your trial. You are now worthy of accepting the inheritance of light.}

{You shall now enter rebirth!}

Everyone was shocked and didn’t expect Lin Ruri to complete her trial just because she had healed the Moon Goddess souls. On the other hand, Yue Xuexia smiled as if she had guessed in her mind. What she wanted to check all alone, finally she found an answer to it. It was all thanks to her friend, Lin Ruri.

Yue Xuexia placed a hand above her heart and mumbles, "As expected, you weren’t completely gone, Hua."

Now there are two future goddesses entering transformation to become one true god. This transformation might take long or short depending on the compatibility of the inheritance and the successor.

On the other hand, Ru Yunlan who had left a few years ago to continue his journey had also reached the end of his trial. His final trial ended up with a mission to eliminate all evil. After successfully opening the first stage of his Nether Body, he was able to activate his heavenly eyes which allows him to see someone’s level of karma, both good and evil. Those whose karma were overwhelmingly evil, every single one of them had their lives reaped by him using the death scythe which allowed itself to be wielded by his little master.

Successfully reaping a life of an evil soul also helps him heal. After being broken, a lot of its original energy had dissipated. Gathering merits helps it stabilize its current state even for a short time, it was able to wield a part of its power.

In the evening, Ru Yunlan was hunting the evil when a few cultivators who saw his figure immediately turned pale in horror. In this ancient ruin, Ru Yunlan had gained another name. Backed with the crimson moon with the night as his domain, he chased after those who deserved to be killed.

"AHH!! The reaper! The Reaper is here! Retreat!!"
