Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 631 - 630: New Target
While Corey remained in the Evolution Center, numerous events had occurred in the Underworld, and majority of these events were related to Corey.
The first major event that occurred was the abrupt end of the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones. This was due to Corey's actions on the Stairs of Ascension.
Due to him removing the Omni-Weapon Infinity Crystal which was actually the core of the Stairs of Ascension, the Stairs of Ascension was destroyed and this shook the entire Shattered Dimension and even the hearts and minds of those watching in the Underworld.
Because the Stairs of Ascension crumbled, a lot of things occurred. The first was that the Throne ran mad and lost control, and this made it possible for Eryndor Castiel and the remaining Chosens to kill the Throne because it acted more on its rage and emotions.
After the death of the Throne, the Shattered Dimension became engulfed in darkness because the source of light that had shone on every corner of the Shattered Dimension was the Stairs of Ascension.
The Shattered Dimension was already a chaotic place, but with the destruction of the Stairs of Ascension, the abominations became more powerful and they began rampaging around, causing countless deaths of both Tainted and Chosen.
A major issue that occurred after the destruction of the Stairs of Ascension was that there was no easy access to the portal that led outside the Shattered Dimension.
Although Corey had unknowingly destroyed the Stairs of Ascension, what had not been destroyed was the portal that led outside the Shattered Dimension. However, reaching the portal without the Stairs of Ascension was not easy at all.
The portal remained in the sky like a swirling black hole that threatened to devour the entire Shattered Dimension. To reach the portal, one would have to fly towards it but the closer a person got to the portal, the greater the resistance one would face.
It was much easier climbing the Stairs of Ascension compared to flying towards the portal. Because of this, the number of Chosens and Underworld prisoners that were able to escape the Shattered Dimension after the death of the Throne were fewer than expected.
The elders and guardians of Chosens who struggled to reach the portal were outraged and they tried to force the Underworld officials and the Clown to rescue their Chosens from the Shattered Dimension, but the Clown's response to their threats and fury was just a laugh and a few mocking words.
"Isn't this more fun to watch?"
Some elders and guardians tried to force their way into Shattered Dimension but they were ruthlessly beaten to the point of death by the Clown, which left the Chosens in the Shattered Dimension stranded.
Because of this, numerous Chosens and Underworld residents died and failed the Battle of Chosens, causing most Chosens to feel immense resentment and fury towards Corey after they learnt of his actions from their elders and guardians.
Meanwhile, Corey did not know this, but his instincts which warned him that things were no longer going to be peaceful for him once he left the Evolution Center was very correct.
In fact, at this moment, numerous elders and guardians of the Chosens were observing and waiting for Corey's return from the Evolution Center.
----In a certain room in the Amphitheatre, two men sat across one another with a table in between them. If Corey were here, he would recognize one of the men as Ryan Houtz, as for the other man, he's an elder of the Supreme Sword Sect.
"Are you certain that you'll be able to convince him to join us?"
"Compared to the others, the chances are not too low, Elder Finn." Ryan Houtz replied while tapping his finger on the armrest of his chair with a deep frown on his face.
"How high would you say the chances are?"
"Forty percent if I'm being optimistic, twenty-five percent if I'm being realistic."
Elder Finn sighed when he heard this. He held the topmost part of his nose, and then he spoke, "That's not high enough."
"Well, I'm just saying. Yes, we fought together and all, but he did not strike me as a good person. If anything, whenever I looked at him, it felt like I was looking a machine... A person without emotions and feelings... A heartless person."
"His eyes were way too calm and indifferent for him to be a human. Even his Intent felt... Emotionless."
Elder Finn raised his brows, "I thought you said his intent was Axe Intent? How did it feel emotionless?"
Ryan Houtz rubbed the back of his head while furrowing his brows, "Well, I shouldn't say his Intent felt emotionless... It just felt... bland."
"Bland?"
"Yes, bland. It felt like he didn't understand his Intent or what path he wanted it to take. It felt just like him."
Elder Finn stroked his hairy chin and then he released a sigh, " Well, from the looks of it, it's most likely that he'll choose to stay with the Heir of the House of Divine... The heir outsmarted all of us by choosing to come here as a prisoner, the information he has on the Underworld is more than ours and the people he has in his group are extremely talented and unique individuals."
Ryan Houtz furrowed his brows slightly, "But the House of Divine isn't here, which means that they can't purchase him from the Underworld."
"Even if the members of Divine's group wishes to join his family, the House of Divine needs to purchase them from the Underworld or they'd be forced to join another organization no matter what."
Elder Finn shook his head lightly, "Divine is the heir of the House of Divine, he can represent the House of Divine and if he has the money, he can buy all of his team members... And maybe even himself."

Ryan Houtz's eyes widened slightly, "Surely the House of Divine wouldn't be so stupid to give Divine so much wealth? What if he died or he lost the wealth?"
Elder Finn shrugged, "You might not know, but it's said that Divine is the most talented kid to have ever been produced in their family. They say his affinity and talent for flame and ice magic is above all. Not only that, they also say he's comprehensive abilities is extremely high and so is his tactical acumen."
"A nobody cannot just be given the name, Divine, in the House of Divine... He's also the reason the House of Hellfire and some other hidden organizations have not been able to destroy the House of Divine."
"Basically, they trust him... Maybe even with their lives."
Ryan Houtz remained silent for a long while as he stared at the table before him, "So, should Smile Reaper still remain our top priority? Or we should focus on another individual?"
"We should, but if his price becomes ridiculously high, then we should shift our focus to another target. A target that is not known by most organizations."
Ryan Houtz raised his brows, "Ohh, who?"
"A young boy named Kiefer. I heard that he's a subordinate of Smile Reaper, and I also heard that the Supreme God Empire is interested in purchasing him."
