Sinner System-Chapter 314: The Sinners Guild (Part 2)
"Alright, here we are," Remarked Tracy, as we stepped out of the elevator and into the lobby, four familiar faces coming into sight...
"Hey, Kai, itβs been a while, howβve you been?"
"Yeah, long time no see." ππΏπ²ππ πππ»πΌπ―ππ.ππΌπΊ
"Good to see you again, man."
Wait, for real?
"Woah, you guys are all joining my Guild? Thatβs awesome!" I grinned, before approaching two of them, "Itβs been ages, Lector, Ferna, how have things been going with you two? How are Will and Elicia?"
"Oh, uh...Elicia retired not long after the Dungeons became more unpredictable, and...," Replied Lector, trailing off with a slight grimace.
"As for Will...he was killed a few months ago," Ferna informed me solemnly.
I...I see.
These two, along with Elicia and Will, were my very first party after I became a Hunter, I guess I just assumed theyβd all be fine after I joined the Diva Guild.
Maybe I shouldβve tried to keep in touch more. Or maybe thatβs just wishful thinking, I doubt it wouldβve changed anything...
"Iβm sorry to hear that, I-...," I began remorsefully.
"Hey, donβt get so down about it...remember what he always said? If and when he dies in a Dungeon, instead of mourning him, he wanted us to celebrate him," Lector reminded me, patting my shoulder.
"Oh, yeah, he did say that...but he was always drunk when he said it," I recalled with a wry smile.
"Yes, he was," Added Ferna with a wistful smile.
"Well, Iβm glad to have you guys on board...itβll be nice to work together again."
"Yeah, likewise, Iβm looking forward to it," Nodded Lector with a thumbs up.
"So am I," Responded Ferna, nodding in agreement.
"Cool," I smiled, before glancing at one of the others, "Havenβt seen you since the HCC, howβve you been?"
"Not too bad, all things considered," He replied wryly.
Itβs the K-Ranked Lancer guy in my class at the Academy, whatever his name is...actually, since heβs a member of my Guild now, itβs high time I remember his name. Letβs have a look, Appraisal:

Wrest Kindt, got it...on another note, heβs improved a lot since I last saw him.
When I fought him at the HCC, Iβm pretty sure his highest stat was still below 350, and I think his Power Level has increased by around a hundred thousand.
And heβs a rare Combatant with no Attribute, so he doesnβt have any Elementally-enhanced Skills in his arsenal.
Which is pretty uncommon, but not unheard of.
<Yes, thatβs correct>
<You remember all that, but not his name, huh?>
I mean, Iβll remember it from now on, so itβs fine.
Heβs changed up his style too, he looks a lot different now. His dark blonde hair used to be about average-length, but heβs grown it out a bit long now.
It went down to his shoulders and framed his face, the front pushed off to the right and tucked behind his right ear, with a few strands falling over his forehead.
He had orange eyes, a light brown complexion, and was about average height with an agile build.
"Itβs good to see you again too, Ariella," He greeted her, as she approached with a friendly wave.
"Yeah, same. And unless Iβm mistaken, the three of us are the last active Hunters from our class, right? Pretty cool that weβll all be in the same Guild from here on," She grinned in response.
Right, now that she mentions it, everyone else in our class at the Academy either retired early or died.
"Oh, that reminds me, I ran into Trey a while back, he was working as a waiter, and heβs a lot nicer now," He informed us.
Seriously? Iβm having trouble imagining that. Well, whatever, even if he has changed, I have no interest in seeing, or even talking about, that guy ever again.
Moving on, the fourth familiar face here is possibly the most surprising...
"Really wasnβt expecting you to join us. Definitely not complaining though, glad to have you with us, Damien," I grinned as I glanced at him.
"Yeah, well...you were the chain holding the feral dog back, and with the chain gone, the dog is free once more," He sighed wistfully.
"Uh...what?"
"I mean Keira. I got the feeling that sheβd go back to normal since you left the Guild, so I asked the GM and Chairwoman to transfer me to any of the other Guilds."
Ah. Thatβs what he meant.
"I see...well, I suppose thatβs a possibility. I kinda feel bad for Isla though, not only did she lose the two strongest Hunters in her Guild, but also the best Enchanter in Sanctuary Theta," I replied with a wry smile.
"It wonβt make a difference, for now...since thereβs no Dungeons and all," He pointed out with a shrug.
"Not gonna lie, thatβs been a real relief. We were getting pretty overwhelmed by the sheer number of Dungeons that were appearing, so getting such a prolonged break to take it easy and rest up is pretty nice," Chimed in Lector with a smile.
"Agreed, and the sheer number of retirements on top of the casualties just stretched us out thinner and thinner, we couldnβt have kept up with it for much longer," Ferna sighed wistfully.
"By the way, the current crop of students at the Academy have just graduated, right? Will any of those among them with Ace Potential be joining the Sinners Guild?" Wrest asked me.
"No idea, guess weβll find out soon enough," I shrugged in response.
