That Aura...besides the Demon Lord himself, I’ve never seen one this intense before. Even Dragons and Archdemons pale in comparison. The hell is this thing?

"<Uh...what is that>?" Frowned Acedia, as the large, hulking Monster got onto its feet, wiping off the blood smeared around its mouth.

"<Don’t ask me, I’ve never seen such a creature before>," Added Ira in bewilderment.

It was a twenty-foot tall, hulking, muscular figure with dark green skin. It had long, wild light green hair that was pretty unkempt, fully red, glowing eyes, long pointy ears, and sharp fangs and claws.

It looks a bit like an Ogre, except it’s about twice the size, and nearly twenty times stronger. Even Calamity Level Monsters don’t have Power Levels even half of what this thing possesses.

"Grr...black hair...purple eyes...are you...human that...Lord Vaszel...hate?" The Monster inquired with a growl.

"Nope, you’re mistaken. Ol’ Vaz and I? We’re best friends! So, who are you?" I called out in a friendly tone, in an effort to try and get some information.

Based on its speech, it doesn’t seem that intelligent. Maybe I can trick it.

"I am...Titan...Goblin King...is me. I am...Lord Vaszel...Sentinel. No...wait...you not...Lord Vaszel friend...Lord Vaszel...hate human!" He roared furiously, before leaping forward and crashing into the building I was standing on.

Well, it was worth a shot.

"<Descent>," I chanted, leaping off the building as it began to collapse, spreading out my wings.

Acedia and Ira followed my lead as the building got reduced to a pile of rubble, before Titan burst out with a roar, picking up chunks of rubble and hurling them up towards us.

We scattered and zipped across the air, loud crashes ringing out as we evaded the flying rubble, which plummeted and crashed onto the ground.

Goblin King, that’s definitely not a known species, Acedia and Ira’s reactions all but confirm that. Where did it come from, how-...?

<The Demon Lord possesses a Demonic Art called Evolution, doesn’t he?>

<That’s the only explanation I can think of>

Shit, I totally forgot about that.

In my defense, I assumed it was a Skill that he used to make himself stronger, I didn’t think it was something he can use on others.

Well, I did consider the possibility that it can forcibly evolve Monsters to the next stage in their evolutionary cycle. But if that was the case, there’d be a hell of a lot more Monsters at the highest stage of their respective evolutionary cycles.

Maybe there’s restrictions or certain conditions that need to be met to use that Skill on others, like-...no, I can worry about that later, for right now, I need to focus on taking this thing down.

"<Enrage>," I chanted, before firing out a Negative Energy blast as a large chunk of rubble came spinning towards me, shattering it to pieces as purple energy erupted around me.

"<It’s surprisingly fast for its size, but...it can’t reach us up here>," Remarked Ira, as he evaded another chunk of rubble, which shot past his right side.

"I’ll end this quickly. <Obliterate>," I uttered, a devastating flash of purple erupting as I unleashed Obliterate at a hundred percent.

A roar of pain rang out as the blast engulfed Titan and drilled into the ground, covering a span of a hundred meters in an instant.

A vicious snarl rang out as the blast petered out, the Monster’s entire right arm, and a few centimeters off his right side, had been completely vaporized, blood gushing out and splattering into the deep hole in the ground.

I was aiming for his head, that was meant to finish him off in one hit...but he managed to react in time and evade the blast. Should I overwhelm him with an Obliterate barrage? Or maybe-...?

My train of thought was cut off as the Monster suddenly leapt straight up towards me, an intense shockwave erupting from below his feet as he shot up and closed in on me in an instant, his right arm and side rapidly regenerating.

I swiftly flew back as his left arm shot out towards me, grimacing as he grabbed my right leg, shattering all the bones below my knee as he tightened its grip.

A massive blast of lightning came shooting in towards him from the left, along with a drilling beam of Ether from the right, as I sliced through my knee with Desecrator to escape its grasp.

I flew back right as the attacks converged in on Titan, who quickly raised his arms up, the attacks colliding against his forearms and eliciting a sharp grunt of pain, before he swiftly slammed its palms together as I began to take aim at him, triggering a powerful shockwave and pushing me back several meters through the air as he plummeted.

A loud crash rang out as his feet slammed onto the ground with immense force, clouds of dust rising up around him, before he threw back his head and let out a deafening, bone-chilling bellow, the entire area rumbling slightly.

If he was smaller, he would be a nightmare to fight. Immense physical strength, and he’s deceptively fast. He’s clearly quite durable too, and possesses regeneration.

But because of his size, he makes for a much easier target than if he were smaller in size, so-...hm? 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

I stared in bewilderment as Titan began to grow rapidly, letting out a deep, rumbling growl as he grew to around fifty feet in height, cracks spreading out across the ground below him.

Hm...well, this is a problem. He is an even easier target now, but how much flesh will I need to tear through to reach his Core?

Alright...Ira, Acedia, the two of you will help me kill this thing as quickly as possible. As for the others, if you’ve arrived, then go help the civilians evacuate.

Frankly, anyone below X-Ace level isn’t going to be particularly effective against him. I can’t drag this out...there’s no telling how many people he’s killed already, and I can’t forget that there are two other Monsters that are possibly on the same level out there, maybe even stronger. I’ll have to finish this quickly...
