Sinner System-Chapter 469: The Sentinels (Part 15)
Point-of-View: Jaden Xeno

Damn it, she’s...she’s already dead.
I clenched my fists in bitter frustration and remorse as I stared at Beatriz’s corpse, as she laid lifelessly in a puddle of her own blood, her skin pale and sallow.
She knew...she knew she was probably going to die, she wagered her own life on giving me an opportunity to finish Sky off, knowing that it would likely get her killed in the process.
If she hadn’t done it, I’d be dead too, along with Iseul and countless others.
I...I’m sorry. If only I’d been a bit stronger, if I had the strength to attack just a few seconds sooner, I could have saved you. I just...I hope you can rest easy, knowing that your sacrifice wasn’t in vain, like you wanted-...
I stiffened and glanced back as a stifling wave of heat suddenly burst out, Sky’s body erupting into flames as she collapsed onto the ground.
"You...you fought well, humans. You have...have defeated me. But I...I cannot simply allow you to have your victory, not...not in its entirety. I must...I must fulfill my duty...," She uttered, the flames intensifying, expanding and swirling around her as she chanted, "[Phoenix...Incineration]."
My eyes widened as the flames compressed and pulses, shockwaves of intense heat erupting with every pulse...shit, she’s gonna blow!
I gritted my teeth and channeled telekinetic energy throughout my body, using it to force myself back onto my feet.
I floated Beatriz’s body into the air, before frantically looking around the area, rushing ahead to my left as I spotted Iseul, laying unconscious on a pile of rubble.
I glanced back as a bright, fiery glow burst out and blanketed the area, the flames around Sky swelling and surging as they began pulsing faster and faster, the air around the flames shimmering violently as the ground around them rapidly melted down.
As I got Iseul within the range of my telekinesis, a cast a defensive force field around us, right as everything went bright, fiery orange, the entire force field surrounded in a blazing sea of flames.
The temperature within my telekinetic barrier spiked sharply, Iseul letting out a slight mutter as beads of sweat began pouring down her face, before I slowly lifted the force field up, ascending up.
The force field burst out of the flames and rose up towards the top of the dome surrounding the Sanctuary, before my eyes widened as I stared down, the flames having erupted over a radius of several kilometers, I could barely see the end of them.
The flames were still going strong, swirling around in a fierce blaze, showing almost no signs of slowing down as they devastatingly spread out across the Sanctuary.
An intense, hazy shimmer danced across the air above the flames, an immense, sweltering heat rising rapidly through the air.
After what felt like an eternity, the flames began to lose some intensity, steadily dispersing.
As the flames finally petered out and faded away, a massive ocean of molten dirt came into sight, everything that had gotten caught up in the blaze reduced to a puddle of searing, glowing sludge.
That...that was like a bomb, I’ve never seen such widespread destruction with a single attack before.
I doubt the entire area within the blast range was evacuated...how many people got caught up in it? How many more people were killed by that final attack?
I...I should’ve taken her head off after I damaged her Core. I just...I just assumed it was over the moment I damaged her Core.
I may have been completely drained of stamina, but I still had some Mana left, I-...damn it. There’s no point in dwelling on what’s already done.
Crap...I’m starting to feel dizzy. I can’t lose consciousness...we’ll fall right into the molten sea below.
I...I need to find a safe place to land, before I pass out...

"Yes...YES!!! Excellent work, Titan, Viscous, and especially Sky! What countless of my forces have failed to do in decades, the three of you accomplished in a single battle!" I exclaimed gleefully, a wide smirk on my face as I raised Dimension Breaker.
"Does that mean...?" Trailed off Spektar in disbelief.
"Yes...finally, it has been done. The boundary between our worlds has been adequately weakened. A few thousand more human deaths would have been ideal, but this will suffice," I responded, tightening my grip on Dimension Breaker with a triumphant sense of elation.
"What do you mean?" He asked me uncertainly.
"If more humans had been killed, the boundary between our worlds would have grown weak enough that several rifts would have opened, allowing us to freely travel between the two worlds.
But that did not happen. However, it is weak enough that I will be able to deploy the entirely of my forces, including myself, to the human world in one go," I informed him with a smirk.
"I see, then the final stage of our conquest is finally at hand. Wait, but doesn’t this mean that we will not be able to return to this world?"
"Yes, it does. But I see no issue with that. The human world is larger than ours, more abundant in resources. So, it is no great loss. And now...we shall cross over into the human world immediately," I declared, as I held up Dimension Breaker.
"What? Should we not inform the rest of our forces first? Not to mention, gather them here so that you can deploy them," He responded, as the crystal at the end of my staff began glowing.
"No need. I can cast this on every being under my command, and once deployed, they will immediately be aware of the fact that they are in a Dungeon. This will be the last time I use Dimension Breaker, this final casting will destroy the weapon in the process," I explained, as the glow brightened.
"Even so, we have no reason to rush, my Lord."
"Oh, I beg to differ. I will not take any chances, the boundary may repair itself faster than anticipated if I take too long. And I refuse to allow this opportunity to slip!" I exclaimed, before chanting as the glow of the crystal spiked sharply, growing blindingly bright, "<Dimension Breaker: Final Dungeon>."
