Sinner System-Chapter 477: Slight Edge

"<Wyvern Lightning>!" I exclaimed as I shot towards the Archdemon, firing out a massive blast of lightning towards him from my mouth.

He zipped up with a swift flap of his wings, grimacing as my blast grazed his left foot, before whipping his arm across and firing out a slashing wave of Negative Energy towards me.

I got low and leapt forward as it closed in on me, the slash flying over the top of my head and severing a couple of strands of my hair, before I fired out a rapid bolt of lightning towards the Archdemon.

He veered across the air to evade it, before his arms suddenly extended and shot towards me...he’s got a Demonic Art called Elongate, this must be it.

I raced away as his arms chased after me, before firing out a barrage of Negative Energy blasts at me.

"<Roc Wind>!" I chanted, unleashing a fierce burst of wind in front of myself as I spun around, blowing away the blasts, before my gaze darted across as his arms came zipping in towards me from either side.

I launched myself up into the air with a burst of wind below me, before opening my mouth and firing out a pressurized wind blast towards the Archdemon, as his arms began to zip up towards me.

He quickly flew across the air, before grimacing as I whipped my arms out and fired wind slashes at his arms, slicing his hands off.

He swiftly retracted his arms as his hands rapidly regenerated, before unleashing a concentrated, swirling blast of Negative Energy towards me from his mouth.

"<Hypersonic Screech>," I chanted as my feet hit the ground, springing off to my left and narrowly evading the blast, before lifting my head towards him and firing out a devastating, ringing sonic screech.

He quickly swooped down, landing on the ground before racing off to his right as I fired a rapid sound blast towards him from my mouth, before I shuffled across to my left as he fired another a Negative Energy slash.

I grimaced as the slash grazed my right side, drawing out a trickle of blood, before I unleashed another sonic screech towards him.

He zipped up into the air to evade it, before swooping down towards me with immense speed, extending his arms out with Negative Energy swirling around his claws.

"<Queen Taratect Web>!"

I sprang back as his arms closed in on me, a couple of shallow gashes appearing over my torso as his claws pierced and dragged down my skin, before I fired out a pair of sticky web nets, pinning his arms to the ground.

"<Wyvern Wind>!"

As he struggled to break free of the sticky grasp of the webs I’d fired out, I launched myself towards him with a powerful blast of wind from behind myself, forming a swirling blade of wind over my right hand.

As I closed in on him, he twisted his body across as I drove my wind blade towards the middle of his torso, piercing through his right side and narrowly missing his Core.

As I shot past him, I tensed as his tail wrapped around my ankle, before he hurled me down towards the ground with a sharp flick of his tail.

I braced myself before letting out a sharp gasp as my back slammed onto the ground with immense force, my vision blurring slightly upon impact, before my eyes widened in alarm as a barrage of Negative Energy blasts came shooting down towards me.

I rolled out of the way as fast as I could, one of the blasts grazing my left bicep and tearing my skin to shreds, before I sprang back onto my feet and raced away to get out of the blast zone of his barrage.

I let out a slow exhale as I got some distance, before turning my gaze towards the Archdemon, who was waiting for me to make the next move.

Looks like I’m not yet at a level where I can defeat a Calamity Level Monster in my base form. But I’m not going to use Monstrification just yet...there’s something else I’d like to try first.

I opened my Item Box and took out a pair of gloves, slipping them onto my fists, feeling my power spike slightly.

One of those Sentinel Monsters, the one that Ariella defeated...it had the same kind of weapon that she and Kai have, a Personlis Arma.

And since that Monster was killed, its weapon was left without a wielder. So, Ariella gave it to me, and Kai helped me establish a link with it.

It was a rod, and tranformed into a pair of gloves. And when I put them on, they boost all my stats, except for MP, by fifteen percent.

Furthermore, they give me a twenty percent boost to my slashing and piercing attacks. As for what exactly I slash and pierce with...

"<Mana Claws>," I chanted, blades of energy with a dark, murky hue forming over my knuckles, three blades on each hand.

Apparently, this is what the color of my Aura looks like, which is kind of a bummer.

"A third human with a Personalis Arma? How?" Frowned the Archdemon warily. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

"Good question. Why don’t you come closer and find out?" I responded icily, before chanting as I shot forward, "<Wyvern Flames>."

I blasted myself through the air with a pressurized burst of flames from behind me, straight towards the Archdemon, before whipping my right arm across at his throat as I closed in on him.

The energy blades over my knuckles grazed the side of his neck as he swerved across to his left, before I spun around as I shot past him, firing out a searing blast of flames at him from my mouth as he simultaneously drove his tail out towards me.

His tail slammed onto the middle of my stomach, knocking the wind out of me right as my flames collided against his back and erupted in a fierce, fiery explosion, blasting him through the air.

Nice, this fifteen percent boost is definitely making a difference, I think I have a slight edge over him now. But I can’t let my guard down yet, not until I’ve actually won this fight...
