I then withdrew Ai, returning her to my mind before activating Appraisal on Ciel, as she gently set Rex’s head down and turned her attention to Slasher, who took an instinctive step back.

MP: 994 -> 5000

Strength: 955 -> 4000

Agility: 702 -> 4000

Vitality: 951 -> 4000

Perception: 898 -> 4000

Power Level: 908,900 -> 4,166,700

Woah...her Power Level more than quadrupled. And her stats, all her physical stats are even, but that shouldn’t be possible for humans...either Agility has to be lower than Strength and Vitality, or vice versa, by about thirty percent at this level.

Heck, it’s even rare in Monsters, most Monsters have at least some disparity between those stats.

And...what happened to her Potential? It’s gone.

Ai? Thoughts? Any idea what’s going on here?

<This is completely unprecedented, so I can’t be sure, but...>

<I was continously casting Appraisal after that first wave of energy, and her MP was the first stat to increase, her other stats didn’t rise until after>

<So, if I had to wager a guess, I believe her intense emotions fuelled and stirred up her Mana into a volatile vortex of energy, which somehow resonated with the dense Mana concentration of the Final Dungeon>

<The resonation triggered something, resulting in the surrounding Mana getting drawn into her body, and her Personalis Arma served as a conduit>

<It seems somewhat similar to how Devour and Drain worked for you, just a lot more drastically>

Yeah, I’ll say.

<As for her stats and Potential, the influx of energy changed her body>

<So much Mana flooded into her that her body had to rapidly adapt to keep up, it seems that resulted in her physical stats evening out across the board>

<And the influx only stopped once her body couldn’t absorb any more Mana, like how you reached your upper limit>

<And since she’s far-exceeded her original Potential, this boost has effectively taken Potential out of the equation>

This is crazy...but I’m definitely not complaining.

No one else has said a word, everyone looks pretty stunned. And understandably so, I think we were all bracing ourselves for what was appearing to seem like her inevitable death.

But now, with this boost in power, she has a very real chance of-...

I...I’ve never felt so enraged before. And yet...I feel strangely calm. There was an unbearable surge of hatred and rage, rising up uncontrollably and overwhelmingly, and then, it just...settled, into a cold, calm fury.

It feels like how Kai explained the way his Enrage Skill works.

My mind is clear, clearer than it’s ever been before. I feel so focused. And I know what I need to do.

I’m looking right at her, my target, the one I have to kill. The one I need to kill. The one I want to kill. The one I WILL kill, no matter what.

I glanced down at my right hand...the underside of my bracelet had extended over the middle of my palm, before expanding into the shape of a handle.

And from the top of the handle, was a blade made of dense, concentrated explosive energy.

My body feels different. It’s hard to explain, it’s as if my center of gravity has shifted, it almost doesn’t feel like my own body anymore. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

And yet, despite the unfamiliarity, it feels...comfortable. And strong. Very strong.

"What...what is this? How did you-...?" Began Slasher warily.

"Don’t speak. Don’t you dare fucking speak in my presence. I don’t want to hear a single word out of you, bitch. I’m going to kill you. I will blast every fucking atom in your wretched body to absolute FUCKING nothingness," I uttered icily, before my gaze darted across to either side as her spinning blades came zipping in towards me.

I lifted my blade, before lunging across to my right as the spinning blades began to close in. I whipped my blade across, striking the spinning blade to my right, a sharp blast erupting upon impact and sending her blade spinning several meters across the air, before striking the barrier and pinging off.

I spun across to my left and whipped my blade across with a sharp flick of my wrist, striking her second blade and blowing it away as well, before narrowing my eyes as I shifted my gaze towards her.

As she began to spread out her wings, I channeled explosive energy behind myself, before triggering it, launching myself straight towards her with immense speed.

"You look so much slower now," I remarked as I closed in and met her gaze, before whipping my blade down.

She quickly crossed her arms in front of herself, a sharp cry ringing out upon impact, before promptly getting drowned out as a deafening explosion erupted, sending her hurtling back as I blasted her arms off.

She crashed onto the barrier with a devastating impact, violent ripples erupting out across the wall of the barrier, before I began to rush in as she shakily spread out her wings.

I came to an abrupt halt and spun around, right as the rings around the middle of her spinning blades connected to each other, forming a large shuriken, which came spinning towards me with a sharp spike in speed.

I swiftly sidestepped and swung my explosive blade across as the shuriken closed in on me, striking the side of the large, spinning weapon, a fierce explosion bursting out upon impact and blasting the shuriken away, launching it across the space.

As it crashed onto the ground and skidded across the ash, I lifted my gaze and locked onto Slasher, who was keeping her distance from me.

"What’s the matter? You seemed to be having so much fun earlier. This feels fantastic, doesn’t it? It’s utterly wonderful, isn’t it?

Isn’t that what you said? You don’t have to answer that...like I already said, I don’t want to hear a single fucking word out of you."
