"Yeah, no doubt about it, the toxicity is definitely starting to spike," I remarked with a grimace.

Even though it doesn’t affect me, the fumes and accompanying stench are pretty overwhelming.

When we first got to this floor of the Final Dungeon, it initially seemed like a forest terrain, but the farther we’ve ventured, the more swampy it’s become.

"We’re close, really close. It should be coming into sight any sec-...right on cue," Said Cleo, as the ring of pillars came into sight.

The area within the pillars was murky and muddy, with a dense concentration of toxic fumes flowing above it.

And in the middle of the space, was an ominous figure, several hisses ringing out as the figure lifted their gaze and narrowed their eyes at us, before standing up and stepping forward.

A humanoid reptilian Monster, with six snake-like heads and long necks. It was slightly hunched, covered in thick, leathery scales, with webbed hands and feet.

It had sharp claws and fangs, glistening with venom. Its torso was covered in a large, turtle-like shell with razor-sharp spikes all over it.

Its Aura, it might be the biggest one I’ve ever seen, not counting Vaszel himself, of course. Let’s have a look, Appraisal:

"Ah, so Sonic and Slasher really were defeated, were they?" The Monster spoke, all six of its heads speaking in unison, in a raspy, hissing tone, before continuing, "I am Venom, the Serpent King, one of the Demon Lord’s Sentinels. Now, then...let’s see which of you humans I’ll be fighting, shall we?"

"Now!" I exclaimed as I glanced back at Petrus, who linked up with Jax and Brid, grabbing their arms as the ring of pillars began to expand.

As the space rapidly expanded, he dropped down into the shadows along with the other two, right before I found myself standing in front of one of the pillars.

My gaze darted around with a sense of dread, spotting Cleo and Ciel standing off to the side, and...I didn’t see the Aces anywhere.

No way, did...did it actually work?!

As the glowing roulette across the pillars began, Petrus and the other two Aces suddenly rose out of the shadows behind Cleo and Ciel, a mix of both surprise and relief on their faces.

Alright, it really worked! Hell, yeah!

Now, then, time to focus on the matter at hand...which of us is up next? Which of us will the roulette land on?

Ideally, either me, Aria or Jaden. Aarav’s resistant but not immune, while Iseul is the most vulnerable out of all of us X-Aces, so of the five of us who are in play, this would be the worst match-up for her-...

I grimaced as the roulette came to an stop, at the pillar she was standing in front of. Her eyes widened momentarily, before a look of resignation appeared on her face.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, a glimmer of determination in her eyes as she opened them, before getting teleported into the space within the ring of pillars.

"This is bad, she isn’t going to be able to withstand that level of concentrated toxicity for long!" Exclaimed Aria, as we regrouped.

"Yeah, she’s going to have to end this quickly. Otherwise...," Trailed off Jaden grimly.

"Damn it, are we sure this roulette is really random?" Chimed in Aarav, clenching his fists with a look of concern on his face.

"Well, shit...just my luck," Sighed Iseul, already starting to look a bit pale.

"My, is my poison already affecting you? How pitiful," Smirked Venom, wet squelches echoing out as he began to approach her menacingly, stepping across the muddy ground.

Iseul took out a bottle filled with those pills of concentrated alcohol, popping the cap off before tossing one of the pills into her mouth.

"Yeah, this is pretty brutal, I can feel my energy draining away. But I wouldn’t be so quick to write me off just yet. Guess I don’t have a choice but to go all out from the get-go, huh? Alright, then...[Lightning Boost x5]!" She roared, Venom’s body sharply seizing up as lightning erupted out and wrapped around her entire body, the muddy ground conducting the intense electric energy being generated around her.

Her hair stood up on end and spiked up, glowing with a deep electric hue, her eyes gleaming brightly as she drew out her staff with her left hand and her sword with her right.

This...could actually work. Venom only has a Low Elemental Resistance, and with the heavy moisture in the area within the ring of pillars, Lightning Magic is the ideal match-up.

This Lightning Boost Spell of hers, the way it wraps lightning around her entire body means that she’s constantly electrifying the ground while the Spell is active.

As a result, Venom is going to be stuck in an endless state of electrocution. It doesn’t look like he’s completely immobilized, his Super Regeneration is probably mitigating at least some of the electrocution, but he definitely isn’t going to be moving anywhere near as freely as he’d otherwise be able to.

And Iseul, her physical stats have been multiplied fivefold, her current stats read:

But both her HP and MP are ticking down fast. Her body’s trembling slightly, this drastic boost in power seems to be taking a toll on her body, and the poison is only making it worse.

And at the rate at which her MP is depleting, it’ll run out in about five minutes, less if she casts any Spells, which she almost certainly will.

This is going to be close, it definitely won’t be easy, but...she can pull it off. Come on, you’ve got this...
