Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Kissing Her Little Mouth

Ethan Yardley thought the woman beside him had quite an overactive imagination.

He wrapped an arm around her and firmly pulled her back home.

He sighed as they walked. "What are you even thinking?"

The man gazed at her, his eyes full of tenderness. "I, Ethan Yardley, have only one Serena Yardley."

"Huh?"

Serena Yardley frowned.

Ethan Yardley reached out and pinched her round little face.

"In my eyes, Serena is harder to placate than a child. She’s always throwing tantrums at me, and when she gets angry, she even kicks me."

Serena was speechless.

’He makes me sound so childish.’

’But compared to this old man, she really was much younger.’

’Serena had to admit that.’ 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"Aren’t you going to work today?"

Seeing that it was already eight o’clock and the man was still lounging around the house, Serena reminded him.

Ethan took her hand as they went inside. "It’s the weekend. After breakfast, I’ll take you for a driving lesson."

"Okay!"

Then, a thought occurred to her and she asked, "Should we tell Julian about what’s going on with Nina?"

"Julian?"

Ethan turned to look at her, his tone a little sour.

Serena, not seeing the issue, raised an eyebrow. "Yeah. Should we tell Julian?"

"Try calling him that affectionately one more time."

His face darkened, and he reached out to pinch her cheek again.

Serena suddenly realized what was happening and slapped his hand away. "I’ll say it all I want! Julian, Julian, my dear little Julian..."

She ran up the steps, looked back at him, and smugly made a face, sticking her tongue out. "What are you gonna do, hit me? Nyah, nyah, nyah~~"

Ethan was speechless.

’Sigh! This woman...’

’She really was a handful, always doing the opposite of what he wanted.’

’But seeing her carefree again, he felt a sense of relief.’

After breakfast, Ethan personally drove Serena out for her driving lesson.

Serena had always thought of herself as being quite brave.

But when Ethan drove the car to an empty athletic field and had her sit in the driver’s seat, her legs started to shake, and a BUZZING in her ears drowned out whatever the man beside her was saying.

"First, fasten your seatbelt. Turn the ignition key to the ’on’ position... What are you trembling for?"

Ethan noticed that before he had even said to start, her hands were already trembling on the steering wheel.

Serena seemed to freeze, gripping the steering wheel tightly. Not only was her whole body shaking, but her voice trembled as well.

"If... if I turn this, the car will just shoot forward, right?"

"..."

"Wh-what if I can’t brake in time? What if the car won’t stop?"

Ethan hadn’t expected this. Serena was so fierce when she was arguing with him, yet now she was terrified just at the thought of driving.

He gestured to her. "Get up. I’ll sit there and teach you hand over hand."

Serena asked, "So, I should get out of the car?"

"No, just stand up."

Ethan got out of the car, then slid into the driver’s seat, pulling her to sit directly in front of him so he could teach her hand-over-hand.

He rested his chin on her fragrant shoulder, brushed his cheek against her silky black hair, and brought his lips close to her ear, murmuring seductively:

"Sit still and don’t move. Watch where my feet go. You have a few pedals down here..."

With extreme patience, he taught her about every component of the car, one by one.

Serena studied diligently.

Once she felt she was ready, she agreed to try driving by herself.

Just as she started the engine and began to move, Ethan deliberately let go. Serena was so frightened she didn’t even dare to hold the steering wheel, covering her eyes and shouting:

"AHHH, I CAN’T DO IT! STOP THE CAR, QUICK! STOP THE CAR!"

Ethan quickly took control of the car and hit the brakes.

He reached out and pulled her into his arms, his voice gentle and alluring.

"Don’t be scared, Serena. You can do it."

"I can’t! I get scared just seeing the car move. Please don’t make me drive. Can you just get me a driver?"

She turned, knelt on the seat, and threw herself into his arms.

Ethan held her tight, nuzzling her round little head. "You really don’t want to learn for yourself?"

"Mhm, I’m scared."

"It’s not that hard, really. You’ll get used to it after a few more tries."

"No, I really don’t dare."

’She felt this wasn’t an issue of practice, but a psychological block.’

’The moment the car started moving, she couldn’t focus on controlling it. Her mind was just filled with the fear of getting into an accident.’

Ethan stopped pushing her. He held her tight and replied, "Alright. If Serena is scared, then we won’t learn. I’ll get you a female driver from now on."

"Okay."

She slowly lifted her head from his embrace. From her angle, she could see the man’s face, his features chiseled and his bone structure well-defined. His thin lips were perfectly proportioned.

Combined with the fact that there was no space between them, it was inevitable that certain feelings would be stirred.

Ethan looked down at her. "What are you thinking about?"

He reached out to pinch her small face. He always felt that every part of her was soft, and he could never get enough.

Serena’s cheeks flushed, and she quickly averted her gaze. "Nothing. It’s so hot. Let’s get out of the car."

"Why get out? Sit for a bit. I’m taking you somewhere."

He lowered his head, about to kiss her.

Serena leaned back instinctively.

For every inch he moved closer, she retreated an inch, until her back was pressed against the steering wheel with nowhere left to go.

A triumphant smirk graced his lips as he captured her small mouth in a kiss.

Serena didn’t resist, consciously closing her eyes.

But after only about half a minute, Serena awkwardly pulled away. She climbed over into the passenger seat, too embarrassed to look at him.

"Let’s go. Didn’t you see all the security cameras around here?"

Ethan, however, didn’t seem to mind. He straightened his clothes and drove away.

As he drove, he kept glancing at the person beside him. He found it quite amusing to see her face flushed with shyness.

’They’d been together for so long, yet she still blushed every time he kissed her.’

’She was just too adorable.’

The two left the athletic field. Just as Ethan’s car got on the road, Serena received a call from Julian Thorne.

He sounded very anxious, asking the moment she answered, "Serena, did something happen to my sister?"

Holding her phone, Serena decided not to hide it. "Yeah, you could say that."

"What do you mean, ’you could say that’? What happened to her?"

"She might be divorcing Mr. Grant." For a moment, she wasn’t sure what else to say.

"Divorce? Didn’t they just get married? How did it already get to the point of divorce?"

Serena glanced at the man driving beside her. Seeing that he wasn’t saying anything and was just focused on driving, she continued speaking into the phone:

"Anyway, I don’t really know how to explain it to you. You should come see Nina and ask her how she wants to handle it."

Julian couldn’t wait, his voice filled with worry:

"Leo called me just now, crying his eyes out, saying something about Quinn Gardner wanting to kill him. And my sister won’t tell me the truth."

"I can’t get over there right away. Serena, please stay with my sister for me. I’ll do my best to be there tonight for sure."

"Okay."

"Thank you, Serena. Let me know immediately if anything happens."

After hanging up, Serena looked at Ethan again. "Let’s go back. I need to go stay with Nina."

Ethan had planned to take her to the hospital for a follow-up check-up, but it looked like that would have to wait for another day.

"Alright."

He didn’t hesitate, turning the car and heading straight for home.

Serena was about to put her phone back in her pocket when she suddenly saw a new friend request on her WeChat.

She opened it and saw that the other person had added a note with their name: [Gabriel Galloway].

Serena furrowed her brow.

’Gabriel Galloway?’
