Sir, Please Sign Here to Get a Divorce-Chapter 83: His Heart Is Full of Her
Ethan Yardley had arranged the vacation spot.
It was on a private island.
He had always known the silly woman by his side loved the sea.
Once, while on a business trip, he happened upon a tourist island that was up for auction.
He bought it on a whim and renamed it: Serene’s Phantom Isle.
He had originally planned to save the island and give it to her as a birthday present.
Since she wanted to go to the beach now, he decided he might as well take her to get familiar with the place.
Two sedans, one after the other, pulled up at Ethan Yardley’s private airfield.
Serena Yardley got out of the car and saw Nina Thorne and Quinn Gardner in the distance.
Although she was in a bit of a sour mood, she still smiled and ran toward them.
"Nina."
Nina Thorne turned around. Seeing Serena Yardley approach, she smiled and went to greet her. "Serena, you’re here."
"Yeah. Why is it just the two of you? Why didn’t you bring your child?"
Nina Thorne gave a gentle smile and led Serena Yardley onto the private jet. "Kids are so much trouble. He’d just get in the way of our time alone, so we didn’t bring him."
Serena Yardley understood.
Suddenly, she found herself quite envious of Nina and her husband.
They were not only childhood sweethearts but also deeply in love, with a son together.
’This must be what a happy life is all about,’ she thought.
After boarding the plane, Serena Yardley stood at the cabin door and looked back.
Seeing that Julian Thorne still hadn’t arrived, she disappointedly withdrew her gaze and followed Nina Thorne into the cabin.
Quinn Gardner and Ethan Yardley followed behind them.
Even when the plane took off, Julian Thorne hadn’t made it.
Without Julian Thorne’s company, Serena Yardley was listless.
She lied, saying she had a headache, put on an eye mask, and went to sleep.
Ethan Yardley sat beside her, constantly adjusting her blanket or setting the air conditioning to a comfortable temperature.
His entire focus was on Serena Yardley. He was afraid she’d catch a cold, afraid she wouldn’t sleep well, afraid her headache would persist.
After the two-hour flight, the plane had landed, but Serena Yardley still hadn’t woken up.
Afraid of waking her, Ethan Yardley just sat beside her, not daring to rouse her.
Nina Thorne and Quinn Gardner got off the plane first and eagerly ran off to the beach.
When Serena Yardley finally woke up and saw the plane had landed, she yawned and said aloud:
"We’re here already?"
She looked around but didn’t see Nina and the others. There was only Ethan Yardley, and she suddenly felt a little awkward.
"Wh-Why is it just you?"
"I was waiting for you."
Ethan Yardley stood up, folded the blanket, and asked Serena Yardley, "Are you hungry?"
"Not really, but I am a little thirsty."
"Okay, I’ll get you some water."
Watching Ethan Yardley leave, Serena Yardley finally got up and walked toward the cabin door.
She pulled out her phone as she walked.
Seeing there were still no calls or messages from Julian Thorne, her heart sank even further.
Ethan Yardley returned with the water and handed it to Serena Yardley. "Have some water first. I’ve already had someone prepare food. We can head over now."
As Serena Yardley took the water, she noticed the cap had already been unscrewed.
’This Uncle is surprisingly thoughtful,’ she thought, for some reason.
The temperature at the beach was high. Serena Yardley was wearing a slip dress and a light jacket.
It felt hot after she disembarked, so she took off her jacket. Gazing up at the blue sky and white clouds, her mood suddenly lifted.
She smiled, looking back at the man following her as she walked.
"Uncle, I heard you just went through a breakup."
Ethan Yardley replied, "Mm."
"What kind of girl was the one you liked? She must be exceptional, beautiful, and unique."
She felt like she was on the verge of a breakup herself.
Her mood right now was probably quite similar to this "Uncle’s".
’Since we’re both miserable in love, we should have a lot to talk about.’
"She is beautiful and unique. And though she might not be that exceptional, I like her very much."
Ethan Yardley watched the girl skipping ahead of him, his eyes filled with tenderness.
It had been so long since he had taken the time to truly appreciate her like this.
He realized that just being where she was, just looking at her face, as radiant as a flower, filled his heart with such contentment.
He realized his heart had long been completely filled with her.
"Tsk, tsk."
Serena Yardley shook her head, glancing at the man beside her and sighing,
"You’re so capable, so tall, and so handsome. How could that girl bear to break your heart?"
Ethan Yardley walked beside her and said lightly,
"Maybe I rarely paid attention to her feelings in the past. She must have been too disappointed in me, which is why she chose to leave."
Serena Yardley seemed to understand.
She chuckled. "That’s true. People can be like that sometimes. You don’t know how to cherish what you have until it’s gone, and then it’s too late for regrets."
The two of them got into a car that took them directly to their hotel.
After lunch at the hotel, Serena Yardley changed into her beachwear and couldn’t wait to run to the shore.
Ethan Yardley grabbed a DSLR camera and followed her. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Serena was in a very short, revealing beach bikini, her hair tied up in a bun. Her petite body was exquisitely proportioned, and her skin was fairer than snow.
Her slender arms and legs made one want to hold her and never let go.
Although she was petite, she had everything a woman should have.
Watching her race toward the sea, Ethan, following behind, found the sight breathtakingly beautiful—as exquisite as an oil painting from the hand of a master artist.
Serena Yardley ran onto the beach. Before her was a stretch of pink sand and crystal-clear water. Every view was astonishingly beautiful.
And best of all, there wasn’t a single other tourist in sight, which suited her perfectly.
She completely let go, kicking off her sandals and sprinting barefoot along the sand, running along the edge of the water.
Ethan Yardley stood in the distance, raising his DSLR to capture every moment of her blissful joy.
Nearby, Quinn Gardner, dressed in a floral shirt and shorts, walked over.
"Actually, it’s a good thing Julian didn’t come. Maybe if you pull out some of your handsome-man charms tonight, you’ll be able to win her over."
Glancing at Quinn Gardner, Ethan Yardley replied with two cool words.
"No rush."
The last thing he wanted to do right now was push her.
He had endured what he needed to endure; a few more days wouldn’t make a difference.
"What I’m afraid of is that if this goes on, it won’t just be the two of you who get hurt, but three people."
After all, their family’s Julian is at an age where he’s full of hot-blooded passion.
If a delectable woman is always leaning on him, it’d be strange if he could resist.
"Julian Thorne wouldn’t dare."
Ethan Yardley replied coldly and walked forward with his DSLR.
Quinn Gardner’s words had inexplicably irritated him.
In the distance, Serena Yardley saw Nina Thorne and quickly ran over to her.
The two women now had each other for company, frolicking hand-in-hand by the sea.
The two men stood nearby, taking pictures of them and keeping a close watch to make sure they weren’t accidentally swept away by the waves.
Nina Thorne pulled Serena Yardley over and pointed to the highest point on the island, saying:
"Serena, look! What’s the name of this island again?"
Serena Yardley followed Nina Thorne’s finger and looked toward the island’s highest point, where a few large words were conspicuously built.
"Serene’s Phantom Isle."
Just as she was wondering why it shared her name...
Just then, on the sea not far away, a speedboat came racing toward them.
Immediately after, Serena Yardley heard Julian Thorne’s voice calling out to her.
"Serena...!"
