Sir, Please Sign Here to Get a Divorce-Chapter 85: Ethan Yardley Is Your Husband
Serena Yardley stared blankly at the tall man before her.
She didn’t understand what he was saying.
’What does he mean, any man can just touch me and have me?’
’What does he take me for?’
Serena Yardley felt humiliated. She glared at Ethan Yardley, her anger uncontrollable.
"What right do you have to say that about me? Julian Thorne is my husband. What I do with him here is none of your business. Who are you to criticize other people?"
"He’s not."
Ethan Yardley cut her off sharply, his own anger flaring in his eyes.
"What did you say?"
Serena Yardley froze.
Ethan Yardley shot a hateful glare at Julian Thorne, finally unable to bear it any longer and confessing the truth:
"He’s not your husband."
"Do you think I don’t know who my own husband is? You’re being ridiculous."
Serena Yardley couldn’t help but shout again, angrily pulling at Julian Thorne. "Julian, let’s go. Don’t associate with people like him."
But Julian Thorne pulled his hand away and looked at Serena Yardley, admitting, "He’s right."
"What did you say?"
Serena Yardley turned to look at the two men beside her, feeling even more bewildered.
Julian Thorne told her the truth. "Serena, you were very sick. After you recovered, you forgot about him."
Looking at Serena Yardley, Julian Thorne tentatively revealed the truth. "The fact is, Ethan is your real husband."
Serena Yardley was speechless.
’Ethan Yardley is my husband?’
’That man named Ethan Yardley, thirty years old, President of the Serene Empire, with wealth rivaling a nation.’
’A man like that is my husband?’
’How is that possible?’
’How could I not know who my own husband is?’
’Why are these two men lying to me?’
’Is it fun to lie to me?’
’Do they take me for a fool?’
Suddenly, Serena Yardley felt a sharp pain in her chest.
Her head began to throb with a piercing ache as well.
She didn’t believe a word they said. Shaking her head, she backed away, despairing and unable to accept it.
"You’re lying to me! Julian Thorne, are you seeing someone else? You’re just spewing nonsense to get rid of me, aren’t you?
Why are you lying to me? Why?"
She cried out, her head feeling like it was about to explode. The pain was so intense that she crouched down, clutching her head as her consciousness began to fade.
"Serena..."
Julian Thorne rushed forward to support her.
Ethan Yardley also lunged over, shoving Julian Thorne aside and sweeping her small frame into his arms.
"Serena, what’s wrong? Is your head hurting again?"
"It hurts so much. My head hurts so much. Why are you lying to me? Why?"
She didn’t know whose arms she was in, only that she was grabbing his clothes in agony, her fists clenched as she beat against him.
Ethan Yardley lifted her up and hurried away.
He tried to soothe her anxiously as he ran. "Serena, don’t be afraid. I’m taking you to the hospital right now. Just hold on a little longer."
But they were on the Isle of Solitude. Where would they find a hospital around here?
Forget a hospital; there wasn’t even anyone else around.
If they took a plane or a speedboat to get back, it would take several hours.
How could his Serena endure that for several hours?
Just as Ethan Yardley was at a loss for what to do, Julian Thorne ran over and said:
"Go that way! Find Quinn Gardner! He used to be a doctor; he’ll know what to do."
Upon hearing that, Ethan Yardley immediately rushed in Quinn Gardner’s direction, still carrying Serena Yardley in his arms.
On the beach not far away, Quinn Gardner, who was taking pictures of his wife, suddenly saw several people running toward them.
Realizing something was wrong, he quickly put away his camera and went to meet them.
"What happened?"
Quinn Gardner was the first to ask.
Ethan Yardley’s face was pale with fear as he desperately pleaded for help.
"Her head hurts. Please, check if she’s in any danger. Quinn, I can’t let anything happen to her. You have to help me."
The last two times, it was because of him that she nearly died.
If something happened to Serena again because of his recklessness, Ethan Yardley felt he would never be able to forgive himself.
"I know. Set her down on the ground, and you hold her steady."
Even though there was no medical equipment here, Quinn Gardner still had a way.
He raised his hands to cradle Serena Yardley’s head, found an acupressure point that could relieve pain, and pressed it firmly before asking:
"Serena, does it hurt here?"
"It hurts... everything hurts," she sobbed. "It’s unbearable. Just knock me out. It hurts so much."
Serena Yardley cried out, tears streaming down her face like rain.
Her usually rosy cheeks were now deathly pale, her lips turning purple.
The sight of the whites of her eyes clearly showing terrified Ethan Yardley and the other two beside him.
Only Quinn Gardner remained unhurried, his voice gentle as he soothed her:
"There, there, Serena. Just bear it a little longer. Once you fall asleep, it’ll be alright."
"Go to sleep. We’re all here with you."
"Serena is such a good girl. Go to sleep now. Once you’re asleep, the pain will go away."
Quinn Gardner continued to apply pressure to her acupoints while using Hypnosis on her.
It would be better if she just passed out.
There was nothing here that could alleviate her pain, so Hypnosis was the only option for now.
Between the intense pain and the effects of the Hypnosis, Serena Yardley’s eyes fluttered shut and she collapsed into Ethan Yardley’s arms.
Seeing her pass out, Ethan Yardley asked urgently, "Will she be okay?"
Quinn Gardner let out a breath, his expression a little grave.
"She’ll be fine. But she was just starting to get better. Why did you two push her to this state again?
If you keep agitating her like this and making her emotionally unstable, it could easily cause her condition to worsen."
Ethan Yardley looked down at the unconscious woman in his arms, his heart feeling as if it were being sliced by a knife.
"I’m sorry. It’s my fault."
Julian Thorne also said, "It’s my fault. Ethan, I’m sorry. I couldn’t control myself.
I’ll leave now. When she wakes up, you can explain things to her properly. I believe she’ll accept reality once she sees her marriage certificate."
Ethan Yardley ground his back teeth, his face like a sheet of ice.
If he weren’t holding Serena, he would have loved to grind Julian Thorne to dust.
Nina Thorne pulled her brother aside and asked in a low voice, "What happened? What did you do to Serena?"
Julian Thorne didn’t want to explain. "I’m leaving. You guys have fun."
He didn’t linger, walking toward the speedboat he had arrived in.
Quinn Gardner could guess what had happened.
’Just as I thought,’ he mused. ’Julian is young and virile. How could he not be moved by such a delectable young woman?’
Looking at Ethan Yardley, Quinn Gardner gestured to him.
"The sun is strong here. Take her back to the hotel to rest first. If she’s still in pain when she wakes up, we’ll take her back home."
Ethan Yardley was still worried. "Is she really not in any mortal danger? Is there a chance she won’t wake up?"
Quinn Gardner smiled. "Don’t worry, she’s fine. She just can’t handle being agitated."
"Okay. I’ll take her back to the hotel then."
Ethan Yardley left the beach, carrying Serena Yardley.
Meanwhile, Julian Thorne quickly disappeared on his speedboat.
Ignoring Ethan and Serena Yardley, Quinn Gardner took Nina Thorne’s hand and went to explore other parts of the island.

「The Hotel.」
Inside a luxurious, king-sized room with a sea view.
When Serena Yardley woke up on the two-meter-wide bed, the sky had already grown dark.
But the room was brightly lit. Opening her eyes, she no longer felt the headache, but she immediately spotted the man sitting on the sofa not far away.
It was Ethan Yardley.
The moment she saw him, the words Julian Thorne had said to her earlier suddenly popped into her head.
’He said that Ethan Yardley was her real husband.’
’How could that be possible?’
Serena Yardley sat up weakly.
When Ethan Yardley saw her wake up, he quickly stood and approached her.
But Serena Yardley raised a hand and cried out:
"Don’t come any closer! I don’t know you, and I don’t want to see you. Either you leave now, or I will."
