Sixth Ring Wizard-Chapter 703: Destruction
When the golden light vanished, the whole world seemed to become tranquil and clean.
Herag looked out and saw that the entire Cyan Armor Star Realm had been flattened, with no planets or stars visible; everything had disappeared.
It was as if a vacuum zone had suddenly appeared in this universe, with nothing in it.
The previously countless Cyan Beetle Swarm, along with the Cyan Beetle King, had all disappeared.
Herag was dumbfounded at this sight, feeling that the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor was several times more formidable than he had imagined.
He estimated that even ordinary Ancestor entities might not be as powerful as the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor, a true ancient Ancestor that had survived countless eras, indeed different and overwhelmingly mighty.
Herag originally thought that what he saw in the Star Realm last time was the full extent of the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor's power, but now with one strike, an entire Star Realm was leveled.
Although this was partly due to the lack of cutting-edge power here, reaching such a level is unimaginable for ordinary people.
Herag never thought the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor could wield such power; his understanding of an Ancestor's strength was indeed lacking.
Herag felt a sense of unreality; moments ago, there were so many Cyan Beetle Swarm around, yet in an instant, they were all gone.
"Wait... what about my bloodline?" Herag suddenly remembered something.
He hadn't obtained any Bloodline Power from the Cyan Beetle King, which had already disappeared completely, without a trace.
Herag forgot to mention it to the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor; he didn't expect the Ancestor to be so ruthless, with one strike eliminating everything entirely.
The Toad witnessed an Ancestor-level existence exerting full power for the first time and was also somewhat stunned.
"Let's go, take the Heart of the Insect Race." The Thousand-Eyed Ancestor had a very casual demeanor, as if this was nothing special to him, all very normal.
The Thousand-Eyed Ancestor, ignoring the two still in shock, went towards the nest of the Cyan Beetle Race on his own. He was somewhat eager to savor the taste of the Heart of the Insect Race.
Herag and the Toad hurriedly followed, spending some time before arriving in front of the enormous nest.
The light purple nest was now in disrepair, with some corpses of the Cyan Beetle Race inside and no living creatures left.
The only reason some corpses remained was because the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor deliberately controlled his power, allowing this area to be preserved.
Another reason was that the nest was indeed very sturdy, to a large extent withstanding much of the energy from the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor's strike.
If the Cyan Beetle Race had retreated and not emerged from the start, gathering the power of the entire race inside, the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor would have had some trouble dealing with it.
Now, many forces had emerged and were wiped out in one fell swoop.
The nest didn't have enough power to defend against the offensive, breaking along both lines.
The Cyan Beetle Race's nest was enormous, akin to a super-sized star, with internal structures resembling layers of cities.
Originally, many Cyan Beetles lived inside, but now they had either disappeared entirely or were reduced to remnants.
Herag saw some remnants inside the nest and quickly probed through the Great Dark Heaven for bloodline sensing.
Soon, he found some flesh tissue inside the nest, from which he sensed a Bloodline Power similar to the Cyan Beetle King's, apparently some royal bloodline of the Cyan Beetle Race.
Herag delved deeper into the nest and quickly found more similar flesh tissue, all containing similar Bloodline Power.
Although these flesh tissues came from different Cyan Beetles, they all had the same Bloodline Power, which Herag could clearly sense.
As the group ventured deeper, they came to a giant white stone.
This white stone was about thirty meters high, crystal clear, like mutton fat jade.
Herag could feel an immensely vast energy inside the white stone, very pure energy, and a strong presence of the Mother River's Breath.
"Is this the Heart of the Insect Race?" Herag asked.
They spent a lot of time finding this, judging from the surrounding ruins, it seemed to have been in a very well-protected area previously.
But under the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor's methods, all the defensive measures were destroyed, revealing the Heart of the Insect Race inside.
The Thousand-Eyed Ancestor nodded and said, "Indeed, it contains vast Mother River Power. This Heart of the Insect Race is larger than I imagined. It seems the king here was on the path to advancing to the Ancestor level. Unfortunately, it failed at the last step."
The size of this Heart of the Insect Race far exceeded that of an ordinary Eighth-Level Race's Heart of the Insect Race, nearly approaching the size of some Ninth-Level Race's Heart of the Insect Race.
If the Cyan Beetle Race hadn't attacked Herag and others, nothing would have happened, and they could have continued developing.
But they chose to act, ultimately leading to catastrophe and the extinction of the entire race.
And this time, it was a complete extinction, with no survivors.
The entire Cyan Beetle Race was erased from the Insect Race Plane, leaving not a single root behind.
"I want two-thirds of this, you get one-third, how about that?" the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor suggested.
"No problem." Herag naturally had no objections; the main effort was from the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor.
Without the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor's action, Herag wouldn't have been able to obtain this at all.
Getting a third exceeded his expectations; with such a large Heart of the Insect Race, even a third was a lot.
The Thousand-Eyed Ancestor was still taking special care of him, granting him so much.
As for the Toad, he was still at Level 6, not yet advanced to Level 7 Legendary, so he couldn't use this thing for the time being.
The Thousand-Eyed Ancestor naturally wouldn't share with the Toad, and could only save some for Herag to share later.
Herag planned to keep a portion, then absorb the rest himself. The saved portion was for research and also to prepare for future needs of those around him.
The Heart of the Insect Race was not easy to acquire, and this time he got it thanks to the Thousand-Eyed Ancestor accompanying him; issues could be easily solved with his intervention.
If Herag had come to the Insect Race Plane alone, obtaining this would have been incredibly difficult.
Just encountering the first Cyan Beetle Race forced him back to the Abyss Plane.
Getting into a tough battle with the Cyan Beetle Race, it would surely be Herag who suffered.
Soon, the gigantic Heart of the Insect Race was divided into two pieces. Herag stored his portion within the Small Plane, planning to absorb and utilize it later.
The method of using the Heart of the Insect Race is quite simple: just absorb the Mother River Power within it.
